Neil Bay Waterfront Retreat ligger bara 20 minuters bilresa från färjeterminalen i Friday Harbor, och 10 minuters promenad till Roche Harbour Resorts restauranger och butiker, gör reträtten avskild utan isolering.

Beläget på norra stranden av Neil Bay och med vacker södra exponering, är den halvt tunnlands höga fastigheten stor skogsklädda, sträcker sig från Davison Head Drive till mer än 100 meter kustlinje. Huvudhytten består av en bottenvåning, loft och omfattande däck. På bottenvåningen finns kök, badrum, matsal / vardagsrum och sovrumsalkov med full storlek säng. Loftet nås via en skeppsstege och ger en full size-säng. Alla sängar har utrustats med nya sängkläder från och med 2019. Ytterdäck slingrar tre sidor av stugan, med det söderläge huvudområdet som går ner för att förbättra utsikten över Neil Bay. Köket innehåller granitdiskar, skräddarsydda granskåp, gasspis / ugn med huva, mikrovågsugn, handfat i rostfritt stål, kyl / frys, spishäll Espressomaskin och ett komplement till små apparater. Badrummet har en duschkabin, toalett, skåp och staplad tvättmaskin torktumlare. Det finns nya handdukar i båda badrummen från och med 2019.

Den mindre stugan ger en entré, sovrum, badrum och däck. I foajén finns ett litet kyl / frys, mikrovågsugn, kaffebryggare och diskutrymme. Sovrummet har en queen size-säng och en sittgrupp. Den söderläge däck ger flera nivåer perfekt för att njuta av utsikten över Neil Bay.

Förutom byggnader och däck, har fastigheten sin egen flytande brygga, trappor som ger tillgång till stranden och bryggan och stor grillplats.

Neil Bay Waterfront Retreat är idealisk för dem som önskar direkt tillgång till vattnet med en privat brygga som ger en utmärkt startpunkt för kajakpaddling, paddling, paddleboarding och andra aktiviteter för strand och vatten (ingår ej). Detta hem ger visningsmöjligheter för många former av vilda djur, havsliv och fåglar. Family Time

The cabins were great. My kids loved the loft. We were able to see several harbor seals from the dock. Water was calm and weather beautiful. Greatly appreciated being able to bring our dog. He spent his day soaking up the sun on the deck. We will definitely book again.

Neil Bay Waterfront Retreat

This property was absolutely amazing ! Such a beautiful and very quiet location. I would rent this again in a heartbeat. I was so fortunate to wake up each morning to watch otters, seals, and birds playing in the bay out back ! Truly an amazing trip to such a special and unique part of Washington state !

amazing family time

Spent an amazing week in San Juan and loved this location. Kitchen had everything! kids loved spending the afternoon sunning on the dock with seals swimming by. we walked to Roche Harbor for lunch and loved watching the sunset from the nearby neighborhood beach. More great restaurants 15 min from the house and a fun town to shop in. We did the whale watching cruise and saw a family of orcas. The beds were comfy. The house was clean and had everything we needed. small, simple and perfect. would love to go back!

Peaceful Retreat in Nature.

Saw deer, birds, and seals from the deck of this house and Ircas off cattle point and Reuben Tarte Park. The house had everything we needed to cook at home: we made clam chowder, lunch picnics for our outings and even shucked oysters. At the end of the long day if hiking and following orca sightings around the island we would play card games in front of the fire place in the house. No screens was absolutely a delight with this house- my 10 year old never noticed the absence of a tv. We'd for sure come again and stay in this lovely retreat. The house had plenty of spices( salt pepper, etc. Plenty of cookware, 2 different coffee makers- and coffee, plenty of bird books, binoculars, blankets, soap, etc. The hosts really did think of EVERYTHING!

Fantastic

A lovely property in a serene setting. Clean, organized, and welcoming. My two teen boys slept in the loft (one on the bed, one on an air mattress), my daughter in the bed, and my husband and I had the mini-me cabin to ourselves. Kitchen is well appointed and everything has its place. Saw seals and lots of birds (and a couple BIG raccoons), and enjoyed watching the changing landscape as the tide went out and came in. A real gem!

Charming spot

Very tidy, easy check-in, gorgeous deck and location on Neil Bay, nice walk into Roche. This place is small! But charming and well-equipped! Even with the mini-me, it was still cozy quarters for our family of two adults and two teenagers.

Met expectations

We enjoyed our stay. The living spaces are small but organized well and functional. Note that the the loft mattress is thin and the Mini-Me shower pan needs to be replaced or repaired. The dock is pretty but I’m not confident you can swim in the water. We would book this rental again.

As we read through the property family history it was obvious that this property was well loved. However, under new ownership maybe it can be updated to reflect the price. We did not have use of the Mini Me cabin but it seemed like a cute place for a larger family.

Great Stay!

The house and mini-me cabin were perfect for our stay. The kitchen had everything needed and the units were clean and well stocked. The access to the water was wonderful for our many kayaking and paddling adventures. Thoroughly enjoyed the property.

Nel Bay Waterfront - not a good value

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were expecting a really incredible place as this place cost us over $1,000 per night (including taxes and fees). We have stayed on San Juan Island at different places for about 30 years, usually renting from San Juan Property Management. We could not get our usual place this year so we elected to go with Neil Bay Waterfront Retreat.The photos on the website make the place look much bigger but in reality, the main cabin is really small, more like a studio. There were basically no sitting area. The upstairs loft had a bed with a thin mattress on a wooden slate, super uncomfortable. The view was of a water inlet when the tide was not low; with low tide, it was a view of mud and water.The mini-cabin was nice. The main cabin was actually comfortable if you did not use the loft. However, it definitely is not worth $1,000 per night.Our main complaint was the cost. Incredible that they are charging over $1,000 for this place; the actual value should be $500 or less. With a $1,000 cost, we were expecting a way better place and basically, we thought that the price was extraodinary high. We have never paid this much for a rental and our expectations were far greater with this price. I do not want to be too harsh but given the price, it was a rip-off.As mentioned above, we have been going to San Juan Island for over 30 years. This year, in addition to San Juan Island, we are also going to Lopez and Orcas Islands, as we usually do. We have rented places in the $350 range that are far superior to this place, on the beach, with incredible views and charming accomodations. We had done the same in the past on San Juan Island. Again, for $1,000 per night, I would avoid this place. It is horrible value for what they are charging.
