Always so easy and well appointed!

This was our second stay with Sally and the house was the same as we remembered - comfy beds with great linens, great common spaces and pool with a view and everything we could need. Sally is the right amount of available - giving us space but there to refill anything we needed like firewood or coffee pods. Thank you for another amazing family vacation!

This home is both beautiful and comfortable. The photos are spot on, but the property is even more spectacular in person! Sally is a wonderful host and very communicative. Everything you need is right there and the location is perfect! This was our second stay and sure not to be our last!!

Dreamy wine country stay

This was one of the best places I have ever stayed. It was so clean so homie it had every single thing you could ever imagine. The view was breathtaking as the time of year was fall. The colors were changing. The leaves were falling in the weather was outstanding. The host was so accommodating, Sally you were so fantastic thank you for everything and your hospitality, we look forward to coming back and staying again soon. 100/10 can’t recommend enough!

Stunning Home Away From Home

I can not recommend this vrbo highly enough! It's absolutely stunning, the views are breathtaking, and the owner has furnished it with such thoughtful touches. A group of friends and I stayed for an annual girls' trip and we could not have been happier, every comfort and convenience we could have wanted was provided. Check-in and communication were so so easy. Highly recommend!

Another Wonderful Stay at Weed Farms in West Dry Creek!

My wife and I, son and a handful of my son's friends had a great long weekend in Dry Creek. Sally Weed is an amazing host. We have stayed with Sally on four separate occasions. The elevated setting of the farm house looking East back across the valley is so refreshing. We enjoyed a handful of days enjoying the pool, cooking meals in the great/well stocked kitchen and on the BBQ and overall having an amazingly relaxing time. The location is while remote only 15 minutes from downtown Healdsburg and not much more than an hour from San Francisco. Special place and thanks for letting us enjoy in for a few days.

Relaxing Family Vacation

Everything about our stay here exceeded our expectations! Sally's home was an idyllic home base for our group of 4 as we explored Sonoma on a 4 night visit. From the drive through her vineyard; her gorgeous garden; pool and spa with beautiful sunset and sunrise views; and amazingly comfortable home; no detail was left unturned and we were in need or want of nothing. The furnishings were oh-so-comfortable, the books were fascinating, the kitchen was a cook's dream (and very well stocked), decor was incredible and Sally was the best host. She left us with fully detailed instructions and we never had a question about how to operate, access, utilize or leave anything. Her descriptions of the home and location were absolutely accurate. We quickly and easily got into downtown Healdsburg, Big John's Market, the 101 and if you are a walker or runner, the surrounding area around the house was perfect for that as well. I can't recommend this enough and hope we find our way back here soon!

Best VRBO in Sonoma!

We had an absolutely amazing time at Sally's home! The trip started out rough due to a wildfire north of the house. We couldn't check in on our arrival date, as there was an evacuation in place, so there was no way to get to the house. As stressed as Sally was about the fire and the potential for damage at her home, she immediately thought about us and went to work to find alternate accommodations for the five of us. We ended up staying at a hotel in Healdsburg for the first night and we worked out the financial ramifications with Sally in a very professional manner. We were able to check in on day two and were not disappointed. Immediately upon arriving at this beautiful destination all of our stress melted away. The home is beautiful, only somewhat outdone by the scenery. I can't describe just how beautiful the view is. Sally greeted us and I have to say, she is an awesome person! We will definitely be back and will recommend this VRBO to our friends! Thanks for making it memorable Sally!

Magical

This is one of the most magical VRBO’s we have stayed at. Our second time here and definitely coming back. Host Sally Weed is a magnificent, delightful person and also available when any small issues arise, which seldom happens. Amazing view, pool, hot tub and large rear patio make the home very enjoyable. Sleep on very comfortable beds with the windows open and fall asleep to the sounds of nature. You will leave relaxed!

This must be heaven …

The house was even more beautiful than the photos show! My friends and I were breathless when we arrived from the amazing views, the gorgeous furnishings and the personal touches, including lovely art, music playing throughout the home and fresh flowers in several rooms. Everything was of the finest quality including the linens, mattresses and even the dishes and cookware. The location of the home was perfect for offering a tranquil retreat after enjoying everything the area has to offer. Sally was super helpful and a pleasure to deal with. My party and I hope to return to her amazing property!

Heavenly Healdsburg

Our family had a wonderful week at Sally's place. It is hard to say which we enjoyed more; the gorgeous views and outdoor space or the cozy, beautifully appointed indoor space and the well equipped kitchen that allowed us to cook for the entire family. We could not have asked for a better getaway!

Girls Wine Retreat

Sally's property is just spectacular. Truly an amazing spa like retreat. It's even better than the pictures. It's so well stocked. When we arrived, there were fresh flowers from the garden in many of the rooms. Wine from their vineyard and a note welcoming us. Sally was so accommodating throughout our visit and clearly wanted to make sure our stay was perfect.... and it was! We will be coming back.

Wonderful spot in wine country

Sally was the perfect host - there when you need her while still offering as much privacy as you want. The house was perfect - the view was stunning, it had everything you might need [kitchen, towels etc] pool was great and all ages had a fabulous time making new memories. San Diego Girfriends

Our girlfriends get together annually to meet at different places. This estate on 20 acres was beautiful! Everything we needed was in the home plus Sally made us a maple breakfast loaf one morning. We definitely plan on returning next year to go kayaking and visit a few more wineries closer to the VRBO

I love living in the Dry Creek Valley and have been here for eighteen years. As a fifth-generation Northern Californian, I moved to the Dry Creek Valley in 2006. You will see me from time to time engaged in projects around the property, or just walking my dogs Haiku and Cody. I am readily available for questions on request but will never intrude on your privacy without your invitation. I hope you will enjoy your stay and return year after year!

Varför värden valde detta boende

Nestled in a side canyon of the Dry Creek Valley, this is a central location for wine tasting and it is perfect for a week or weekend of living the wine country lifestyle without any of the cares of running a rural property! Grape creek, a seasonal stream running through our place has been involved in several habitat enhancement projects for the endangered Coho salmon, and also has breeding populations of steelhead trout as well as many other aquatic creatures and birds. Wild blackberries and grapes line the edges of the creek as a treat for humans and wildlife alike! The house is nestled into the side of the hill at 400' elevation where the oak woodland begins to transition to redwood, madrone, and douglas fir forest. It feels very far away from civilization, but of course it is a quick drive to the center of town (12 minutes) and even faster to our great local grocery, Big John's (10 minutes). There is WiFi and reliable (Starlink) internet access as well as a media room for watching movies/cable tv etc.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

Great environment for walking, both on trails within fenced property (dogs can run safely off-leash!) and also in the immediate neighborhood. Four very nice wineries (Michel Schlumberger, Mounts, Quivira, and A. Raffanelli) are within easy walking distance (but do call ahead to confirm hours and also to make an appointment if needed). A nice longer walk (just under two miles) gets you to the Dry Creek General Store (and the adjacent awesome local bar where EVERYONE is welcome!) where you can pick up snacks, picnic food/sandwiches, cold and hot beverages. Open for morning coffee at 6:30am! If you bring or rent bicycles, the options are awesome, too. Take a spin up to Lake Sonoma and there is a nice climb up into the Rockpile AVA. Another great trip is over Canyon Road into Geyserville for lunch at Diavola. The cycling options are truly as diverse as your dining options in Healdsburg! I am happy to make recommendations about local restaurants and day trips as well. When you are here, you will feel like you are truly Out in the Country but you can be on the freeway in six minutes from my front gate and you can get to the Healdsburg Plaza (the beautiful tree-encircled town square...music all summer on Tuesday nights) in twelve minutes. I love living in Healdsburg, and I know you will love it too!
