Denna strandstuga erbjuder utmärkt utsikt och härliga solnedgångar över Roanoke Sound, men det är bara en 5 minuters promenad till stranden. Nära till sevärdheter i området och bara 2 kvarter från Jennette's Pier. Shopping och restauranger på gångavstånd.

Bekvämligheterna inkluderar 7 kabel-TV och DVD-spelare, alla sovrum har platt-TV. Rec rum har våt bar, minikyl, biljardbord, fotbollsbord, böcker, filmer och spel. Stora rum har pubbord med 2 sittplatser, 4 barstolar, skafferi (2 kylskåp i köket i full storlek), matsal för 10 personer. Picknickbord och däckmöbler. Poolen är 12x28 med ett stort område runt den.

Beläget i Whalebone Cay Subdivision i cul-de-sac, mile post 16. 2. Gott om plats framför stugan för att parkera liten båt / jet ski, etc.

Gästrecension: "Wonderful! Fantastisk familjplats! " "För vår första strandhyra någonsin med barn och barnbarn, det visar sig att vi valde ett funktionspaket hyreshus. Bo- och sovområdena är oerhört rymliga och välplanerade för användning i flera familjer. Det öppna, väl upplysta köket hade massor av högkvalitativa rätter, köksredskap och redskap, och det oavsiktade extra skafferi med andra kylskåpet var en välkommen överraskning för kockarna! Vi utnyttjade det enorma matbordet för familjebrädspel bra, och när vi underhöll besökande släktingar från Ohio fanns det gott om plats för totalt 21 personer till middag. Barnbarnarna tyckte om spelrummet och de älskade den stora poolen! Det finns flera bakre däck med god utsikt över poolen nedanför havet och en livräddad strand nära Jennettes Pier, bara en kort promenad bort. (Piren är öppen för nattfiske, och våra pappor och söner tog chansen att göra ett minne genom att fånga en skridsko!) En favorithöjdpunkt i familjen såg ett spektakulärt blixtstorm över ljudet från det främre däck utanför matsalen. Vi uppskattade den personliga kontakten med ägaren, både genom hyrprocessen och genom att möta våra behov under vårt besök. Vi skulle definitivt hyra det här huset igen. "

Great house!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was clean, spacious, great views of the sound especially at sunset and you can see the ocean. The pool and hot tub were a treat for the kids. There were only two downsides. We were pretty much right on the main highway, but at least the house is on a culdesac. And we weren’t able to check in until 6:30. But it was a fantastic stay and we would definitely rent here again!

Shelltown is super!

Family Vacation was a Great Success!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our first trip to the Outer Banks and we had a great time with our kids and grandsons. Location was great with groceries, ice cream and fish market within walking distance. Beach and pier just a short walk, pool and hot tub, rec room with pool and foosball tables were very welcome. Enough dining space for all 10, plenty of bed and bath rooms. So much to do and see with only short rides to access. Property was clean and well appointed. Two refrigerator/freezers was real bonus! Staff was responsive and communicated well. When arriving, we missed the turnoff twice, so perhaps a sign at the entrance from the highway would help. Teenagers soaked up a lot of wifi - perhaps a second channel? Overall, was a wonderful place to stay. Thank you!

Great location

Location was great. Short walking distance to beach, ice cream shop, restaurants, Tanger Mall. House is essentially on the highway, but some reviewers commented about how loud it was. We had no problem what so ever sleeping. Sitting in front deck at times was loud, but there are several decks to this home. Pool is great; plenty of space inside. Comfortable beds. House was clean enough, but it needs a DEEP clean: baseboards, some furniture, around door handles, etc. TV in master bedroom never worked. Called maintenance on Monday, didn’t show up until Thursday. TV in living room is way too small for the size of the room.

Great Vacation Home In The Heart of The OBX

This was a great beach house for celebrating my husband’s birthday with some close friends. It had everything you could want in a rental and was very clean. The only reason I gave 4 stars for the online description, is because I would have loved to know that the private pool will not open until April 29th. Therefore, if we wanted it cleaned we would have had to paid extra. Knowing this would have allowed me to adjust my scheduled stay accordingly since one of the primary reasons for choosing this beach house was the private pool and hot tub. I was definitely annoyed by learning this after my arrival. Other than that lack of prior communication, this beach house was full of fun activities, lots of space for food and beverages, a wonderful tub in the master sweet, and gorgeous views from the many balconies. I hope to stay here again.

Perfect for fishing weekend & jeep invasion

The location was perfect for fishing on the pier and attending the jeep invasion. It was challenging to fall asleep at night because the house is located on the main road and the traffic is so loud. Everyone enjoyed the hot tub and hanging around the pool.

Nice house

Location is very close to other homes. There Is no privacy. Unfortunately we had 4 kids in the house to the left of us that were extremely rude while their parents left them unattended. The family on the right of us had a screaming baby from Wednesday on. The house is decorated nicely. It is close to everything. The internet/wifi is extremely bad. It was difficult to stay connected or to stream a movie without constant buffering.

Review

The TVs never worked. We did get a service call and technician said he had fixed it but issues were resolved. I texted the office again and was totally frustrated with their response which they did not respond for the second call. Also the carpets are very old and stained. The carpets weren't clean that well either when we arrived.

Great location if you can tolerate poor cleaning

I stayed a lot Shell Town in August 2022. Even though the location is nice, I would not stay here again. Here the pros and cons: Pros - 5 minute walk to beach - Good size pool that is shaded by the house - Beautiful view of water upstairs - Outdoor shower - Located near the pier, restaurants, and walking trail - Linens are provided Cons - There were cleanliness issues. The bathtubs & toilets were dirty. My magic clean eraser was saturated in dirt after cleaning the master shower. The toilet had pee stains under the lid. Refrigerator door handle was filthy. Food ok the living room carpet. Management did offer for the cleaners to come back to clean the house and allow us to sign off on whether it was satisfactory. - The grout in the master shower had mold. Housekeeping helped remove a lot of it but there was still some mold there. - Issues with WiFi connection on the 2nd and 1st levels because router was on ground level.

The sunrises and sunsets were beautiful and beach access was easy. Great location, although there is constant traffic noise due to the closeness of the main road. The extra refrigerator in the kitchen made storing food for 3 families helpful. Having a pool to swim in after being at the ocean was relaxing. Looking forward to next year's visit.

Great for Family Vacations!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had an excellent stay. 8 extended family members covering 3 generations from pre-teen to seniors. The house was very comfortable for us. There was plenty of space to be together, and also the availability of some private space when needed. The pool was a hit with all as was the hot tub. The location is within a short walk to the beach, Jeanette Pier, a nearby market, and the local ice cream shop (highly recommended!). We had 3 SUVs and could park all for easy access. We went on a crabbing trip, then took our haul to the seafood market at the corner. They steamed and seasoned them for us for a reasonable price. The blue crabs were excellent. We also took a drive down to the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse and the Graveyard of the Atlantic Museum, played disc golf on Roanoak Island, and visited the Wright Brothers Memorial. There are also several putt-putt courses nearby and an outlet mall for those who need retail therapy. The week was a perfect mix of lazing in the sun and checking out the local area.

(Very close) All amenities are very nice and unit is well provisioned with kitchen supplies. Beach realty was very understanding in letting us leave the keys in unit as opposed to taking them up to MP 2.5 from MP 16. We had come in from the South and that saved us about 1 1/2 of extra driving. The unit is only about 5 miles from the Bodie Is. lighthouse and the beach at the Hatteras National seashore. Very nice. Price was acceptable and the unit was in wonderful shape. Pool and Hot tub were very clean and nice. Recommend Beach and this unit.
