Högst rankade spa i Lake Austin ligger bara några minuter bort, hyr paddelbrädor i parken längs vägen, eller paddla våra kajaker till naturreservatet över sjön och vandra upp till ett vattenfall. Vår sandvolleybollplan är regleringsstorlek, vi har en dykbräda. Men lugn med den här egenskapen kan leda dig till FoU och förlåta all den aktiviteten - avskärmad i veranda med antika järndagssängar och skrivbord kallar författarens reträtt. Specialbyggt med cedergolv och robusta balkar. Känns som mitt i ingenstans men bra restauranger (sushi, mexikansk, Steiner Ranch Steakhouse) är i grannskapet, berömda solnedgångar vid Oasis på Lake Travis 7 miles away, och 30 minuter från centrala Austin.

The most special place!

Words and pictures really cannot describe how special this place is. The treehouse, ans our family called it is so cozy and comfortable. Sitting down by the lake at any time of the day is just magical. Shelly is a phenomenal host and person. She worked very hard to get us in on the same day that she had some guest checking out in the morning. I cannot recommend enough staying at this magical, special place!

Weekend stay-cation

Such a relaxing place! We loved hanging out by the lake, playing beach volleyball, and just being outside. The owners are so very welcoming!

Lovely place

Lovely lakefront stay

We thoroughly enjoyed this cozy spot on the lake. While our visit was short, we felt welcomed and completely at home. Looking forward to a longer stay in the future.

Perfect Lake Adventure

Shelly and Chuck were absolutely amazing! They were so helpful and kind. Their place was cozy and the location next to the lake can’t be beat. Our little boys practically lived on the dock, fishing and swimming. We loved all the toys and water gear that were available to us - can’t wait to come back and stay again :)

Great Place!

Chuck and Shelly have a beautiful place and could have been nicer! Kids loved the diving board and playing volleyball. I highly recommend this VRBO.

Cozy and Convenient

The owners were so kind and laid back. My family of 6 really enjoyed the time away and we saved money bringing the dogs as well. Without a doubt I'd go back again!!

Birthday weekend on the lake

You can’t beat the location of this guesthouse. Close to the boat ramp, extra parking for friends. Some of the smoother water on Lake Austin nearby, when the wake boats are not out in mass. Lovely area all around.

Great weekend!

The house was beautiful, clean and comfortable. The loft upstairs is perfect for kids. Owners were friendly and very helpful. Lake was pretty quiet and private.

Lovely place

This is such a lovely place to spend some great relaxing time. The cabin is clean and comfortable and sweetly decorated. Shelly and Chuck were super hosts: friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed the time by the water and easy access to town though we barely left the place as it was so nice to be there.

Clean beautiful guesthouse, private lake awesome

Beautiful cabin, private and cool lake and wonderful owners equals an awesome vacation. Peacepaddles rented us a paddle board so we really got to tour the quiet lake. Chuck and Shelly graciously answered all our questions about the area and gave us all the privacy we needed to enjoy our stay. Can't wait to stay there next year.

Wonderful Family Trip

We came to celebrate our son’s 12th birthday. I was a bit apprehensive about renting a property where the owners were also on site, but Shelly and Chuck were amazing! So fun and friendly and made our stay that much more enjoyable. This is definitely a great place for a weekend getaway.

Wonderful property excellent hosts!

It was an excellent home, bigger and better stocked than we had even hoped for. The owners were very communicative and the one thing we needed (a cutting board) the got to us right away! The lake, kayaks, lilipad, diving board, dock, and hot tub kept us entertained all week!

I grew up in a dreadfully nondescript area of Illinois (cornfields) but my parents wanted more than anything to live on the water and even though they earned a modest income as teachers they succeeded! In third grade we moved into a lakefront home in Central Illinois and it was THE gathering place for my friends as I grew up. They gave me the gift of prioritizing a water based lifestyle. Chuck and I bought this property when we got engaged in 1988 and our 4 children ages 25 to 12 relish the lifestyle I did as a child.

Varför värden valde detta boende

We fell in love with this ethereal part of Lake Austin and bought our home in 1988. It was 2 BR/1Bath with gold shag carpet and we were in heaven. Have added on to our home many times and we built the guest house in 2004 hoping to lure out of state grandparents. We failed at that but have loved being able to host many travelers, church youth retreat weekends, you name it!

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

Every piece of furniture hand picked over time from visits to the semi-annual Round Top antique fair except for the custom made cedar dining table with benches. Nothing matches but everything soothes in this eclectic and comfortable home. Want some activity? A sand volleyball court awaits. Or kayak across the lake and hike up to a waterfall.
