Lake Placid Vacation

This house is amazing,with a perfect location. We were able to walk to town, hikes and has beautiful lake access. One of our best VRBO rentals!

Thanksgiving

Home was perfect! Beautifully decorated, inviting and relaxing. Location is great, easy walk to restaurants and shopping. There were 11 of us and the home never felt crowded. The lake view is spectacular. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Another great year!

This is our 2nd year in a row staying at Barb’s place and it was just as great of a stay as last year. The access to the lake and proximity to town and attractions can’t be beat. We’ve already booked the trip again for next year.

A dream vacation for us

Location is outstanding!! Comfortable place to stay!! Loved having kayak, paddleboat and canoe. Plenty of space for everyone!! Minor issue with grill. This place helped make our first family vacation with our adult children and grandchildren all together very special! We hope to return here !!!

An excellent family stay

We lucked out and had beautiful weather while staying at a beautiful and comfortable residence! The hot tub was a lot of fun and the kids loved the two visiting ducks. We loved our stay there. It was great to be with family all in one place.

Perfect family place

Birches lodge was the perfect place to stay in Lake Placid. We loved being right on Mirror Lake in an amazing house with plenty of room for the 9 of us to relax. The kitchen was well stocked, the interior/exterior of the house was beautiful and clean, and there were plenty of things to keep us entertained, including kayaks, hot tub, outdoor fireplace, games, and common areas for the family to gather. Downtown was an enjoyable walking distance. Wonderful experience!

Great location!

Our family of 5 adults and 3 children had a wonderful week exploring the area. We enjoyed the lake, outdoor fireplace, hiking and the Olympic Center. The house had everything we needed, and plenty of room for all. Highly recommend staying here!

Best Vacation Ever!

This beautiful Adirondack home had it all to accommodate our 5 grown children plus significant others. The house is custom built and tastefully decorated along with being ideally situated to walk to all that Lake Placid has to offer. Barb the owner was great to work with. We can't wait to come back! A Perfect Vacation Home

This vacation property is second to none. Home is absolutely beautiful, spotlessly clean, and has every amenity you could imagine. The plentiful Olympic memorabilia throughout the house was fascinating . We enjoyed the enormous deck and hot tub overlooking the lake during the day and fired up the outdoor fireplace as the evenings got cooler. All in all, we came home with some wonderful family memories.

30th Birthday Trip

Lake Placid is my favorite vacation destination and Birches Lodge was the perfect spot to share this area with friends. Well stocked kitchen, great layout, close to town, can't really think of anything that could be improved. Barb was very responsive to questions we had throughout our stay. Would 100% stay here again!

Family weekend

We had a wonderful time at Barbara's home. The location was perfect with a short walk to town. The house was very roomy and fit our family of 9 plus two babies with room to spare. We would love to return again next year for our pre holiday family gathering.

Amazing property and wonderful host!

Another amazing Mirror Lake getaway

Another fantastic vacation at Birches Lodge! You can’t beat the location right on the lake. The house has so much to offer for our family. This property is so clean too. It is easy to tell that you take pride in keeping the property in top shape. We love coming up to Lake Placid and are so happy with our stay here!

Another great weekend at the birches

This was our second time staying at Barbara’s wonderful home. The location is an easy sidewalk walk into town. The house is very comfortable for our large family with 4 small grandchildren. The view of town is magical. We would love to come back!

Bachelorette celebration

The best spot we could have picked for all of our activities! Everyone was able to sleep comfortably and had everything we could have needed on the house. Walking distance from the places he had booked as well as dining options. Excellent stay!

Wonderful Stay

We absolutely love this house. This is our 2nd time visiting The Birches, and it was just as good this time as the first. A beautiful home in a wonderful location. We are group of 8, and there’s plenty of space inside and out for us all. Waking up each morning to that beautiful view across the lake is certainly priceless.

Just Awesome!

We absolutely loved our stay at the house. Such a beautiful home and the best location. The storage room was great for storing all our extra stuff. We cooked each night in the kitchen which was well equipped. We loved the hot tub with the fabulous view of the lake.

Pre-holiday Getaway

We loved the house and location- it’s absolutely beautiful! We entered and it was immediately warm and cozy with the Christmas Tree up and the fireplace in the family room. The space was great for us- we could have fit twice as many. We’d love to come back- this is a new favorite.
