The Shock of Our Lives

This house looked very nice in the ad for rentals, however when we got there we were shocked to see the things we saw! The toilet had not been flushed and had urine and feces in it. The toilet seat was broken and on the floor. There was dried up alcohol in glasses left on the coffee table. The shades on the glass doors were broken and could not be raised up. The bed wasn’t made and there was a staircase leading up to a loft after we stated we didn’t want any stairs due to both my husband and I being handicapped. The owner wanted top dollar for this rental. We walked right out of the house and called VRBO to tell them about it and cancelled it and notified our credit card company about this disaster. We were forced to check into a hotel for two weeks because of this place.

Worst VRBO experience ever. Total misrepresentation.

Dirty. Disgusting. Disappointing. Should not be allowed to list the property on VRBO. Would not recommend to my worst enemy. Carpets were stained and torn and unclean. I don’t think the sheets were even clean. No laundry soap. No access to golf or gym as mentioned in listing VRBO did not get back to me after I called and spoke for an hour. I want to describe my rating on the property directly. Happy to speak with anyone.

Gillade: Incheckning, kommunikation och plats

Great location for what needed it for.

Property could use some updating. It didn't offer the basics like paper towels, dish towel, one dishwasher soap, or a working toaster. We tried many times to start the dishwasher before we left but it would not turn on. The ice maker didn't work either and it would have been nice to have at least a small bag of ice when arrived. Thankfully there is a nice Publix's very close by. They do have a wine and mini refrigerator but those where not plugged in. Our stay was short so didn't need them.The screen on the patio has a hole in it so make sure you spray yourself down before going out there. The host only communicates through text message and got back to us quickly. It would have been nice to have directions on how to work the TV and remote for blinds. The location was perfect for what we needed it for. The neighborhood is beautiful.

Horrible Host and Terrible Customer Service from VRBO

Unbelievably bad condo, looks nothing like the photos. * Fallen branches from trees everywhere, no lawn maintenance. * Dirty entrance, smelled musty upon entering. Dark inside. * Hot and humid inside. The electricity was turned off. * The refrigerator was musty inside, hadn't been used for awhile. * Old furniture. Worn out. Lumpy beds. Looked nothing like the photos. * Non-responsive host. * He does not answer texts nor phone calls. * I called VRBO and they said to wait 4-5 hours for host response. I said No - Not happening. * VRBO finally had to get a hold of him for me. The Host was irritated with me for being irritated about the lack of A/C and maintenance. He said the electricity was on a timer and will be on shortly. I asked why the electricity wasn't on for a few hours before my arrival and he told me that it's too expensive to run the AC for a few extra hours before my arrival. He said that all the lawn debris was from a storm. We were in the middle of a dry spell. I got the feeling that he never visits the condo, nor oversees any maintenance or upkeep. * We did not stay in the condo more than 5 minutes. We left and checked in to a hotel. * VRBO refused my request for a refund due to fraudulent representation of condo. Host laughed and would not offer refund either. * Traveler Beware !
