Pet friendly/crates & bowls available. Beach and picnic supplies. Children 2-12 years welcome! Additional bedroom in the second floor suite is also available to rent for an additional charge for a member of your group.

The space
Entire, private 2nd floor in my colonial home built in 1869 with spacious bedroom - 2 people MAX (or book two bedrooms on my other listing). Walk everywhere. Locking bedroom, large closet & robe provided. Private living room with laptop-friendly bistro table, cozy chairs/throws, fridge, Keurig and snacks. Private bathroom. Enter through Host's first floor directly to the upstairs area. Outdoor patio and enclosed yard. Bocce/cornhole outdoor games. Smoking permitted outside. Quiet neighborhood.

Guest access
Enter into Host's first floor through either front or back door. Back door takes you directly up to your private 2nd floor. Combo lock for entry into home.

Other things to note
Very safe downtown neighborhood with plenty of restaurants, bars, beach, waterfront to access in an extremely short walk. I am happy to give recommendations on all! Colt State Park (300 acres, on the water, deer) is a 5 minute drive. East Bay Bike Path goes for miles by the water, into Providence.

All the comforts of home!

My husband and I, along with our 21 year old daughter, were in town for my son's college graduation. We stayed for 2 nights and the accommodations exceeded our expectations. The host, who lives on the first floor, was welcoming and went out of her way to make sure we had everything we could possibly need. She also gave great advice on local restaurants. I highly recommend this VRBO!

Formerly, I played competitive volleyball at Cornell University and thereafter with the U.S. Nationals. I have one adult son who lives in San Diego, and an 8yo golden retriever named Dublin (he is not allowed in the second floor suite). Currently my interests are competitive pickleball, the gym, hikes/walks, travel and being with friends! Love meeting new people through VRBO!

Varför värden valde detta boende

This home is a historical, renovated colonial in downtown Bristol where you can walk to restaurants, shops, a small beach/waterfront, bars and farmer’s markets. Bristol has all the historic charm of Newport without the overwhelming summer population growth and traffic. We are right on the water (both sides) so boating, sailing (and a sailing museum), swimming, kayaking and so on is readily accessible. And, we have wonderful restaurants and shops. A mile up the road is Colt State Park on the water, and the town beach (though there is a small beach one block away). Here you will find walking trails, water views, picnic areas with grills, events, a skatepark, ball fields, tennis courts and plenty of deer! Blithwold Mansion is nearby, sponsoring many events and tours of the mansion and beautiful grounds. Our town is only a short drive to either Newport or Providence (22-25 minutes). In addition, Rt. 24 goes directly from Bristol to Boston. And, if you're like me, you can pick up a pickleball game on our beautiful Town Common with playground, a few blocks away. We are also the starting point for the East Bay Bike Path which travels along the waterfront all the way to Providence!

My property is so special in that it is the entire, private second floor in my home. You can rent one OR two bedrooms and have a spacious private living room with refrigerator, cafe table, cozy chairs with throws, desk, snacks, books, games, toaster, and a private bathroom with hair dryer and toiletries. Private enclosed backyard with hammock, grill, lounge chairs, outdoor bocce and corn hole. And a great Host who will help in any way she can, or leave you to enjoy the serenity of the property.
