Vår Retreat är en semester fastighet belägen i hjärtat av Shenandoah Valley nära den historiska Battlefield New Market. Nära till Bryce och Massanuttenbergen Resorts, Luray Caverns, vingårdar, och bara 1. 5 timmar från norra Virginia. Det finns fem tunnland trädbevuxen och betesmarker för dig att utforska. Den innehåller naturstigar, vattendrag, en brand grop, hästskor och mycket mer. Nära till vingårdar, antikaffärer och andra attraktioner. FN-kontakt och koppla av. Vår reträtt hade bed boende för sex (med en tränare och pull-down stol som sova två). Utrustat kök, biljardrum, ping pong rum, träna rum, avskilt picknickområde och bibliotek packad med böcker, brädspel, VHS-band och DVD-skivor.

Koka upp familjens mat, BBQ på överdimensionerad grill, och njuta av solnedgången från den privata däck. Visa din skicklighet på en omgång hästskor. Koppla av vid elden. Förnya din sprit sitter på bänken bredvid Smith Creek.

Lovely stay!

We really enjoyed this house and its amenities. My adult children enjoyed the ping pong and pool, and we played the provided bird games every night! I brought stuff to make dinners at the house and everything we needed was on site. The views are beautiful, and the closeness to Luray Caverns and Shenandoah were amazing! Because this is a halfway point for family I think we will definitely be returning!

Wedding retreat

We were staying in the area for a wedding. This property was perfect for us as we could stay together as a family and be close to the venue. It was a beautiful perfect weekend. I appreciate the hospitality of the hosts.

Mountain Retreat

The retreat is very comfortable and clean. The pool table and ping pong table were great fun for our older kids, especially since it rained while we were there. Facilities and surroundings were just as described and there were thoughtful touches everywhere. Note that the 3rd bedroom does have only 2 beds, not 3 - a Qn and twin. It worked out fine for us, but it is inaccurate in the listing. Georgi is a wonderful host, very personable, responsive and caring.

Beautiful views

Property was good. Having to tear down bedding prior to leaving per guest book instructions was a bit much since being charged a cleaning fee through Vrbo. Overall was a good time. The basement was hot and needs air. We stayed upstairs during our visit. The caverns and civil war museum were fantastic. We didn’t do a fire since the breeze was more than allowable for a fire. The outside was nice and sunsets beautiful.

No breakfasts, Only Snake

Never Again. The FREE breakfast NEVER existed! The stocked fridge consisted of only 2 kinds of butter and some old creamer. Stocked pantry consisted of spices galore, an some microwave popcorn. Kcups yes. All windows were filthy with webs and dead bugs and filth. The House itself was very roomy, open and very well done upstairs. Downstairs was a bit dark and crowded. All lamps were low wattage and dim. Upstairs beds were well done, very nice and comfortable. Game room upstairs was nice. Inside was very clean! Greeted by a Snake first thing! Only 2 feet away and coiled up beside the entry steps. It was very unnerving and caused panic and uneasiness the whole time. It finally moved up into the corner siding of the house, where it lived! When it was finally fully seen, it was over 6ft long! Rat snake, and pretty thick too! It had been there awhile. When we would leave or come back home, it was watching us with it’s head stuck out! We stayed inside, due to that. We were not fans. Hostess was called. She said she would get a neighbor to come remove it. We never saw a person, not even the hosts! No one to even sign the contract, nothing. Said she did not like that snake, but that her husband did. On day 2, we took pics, and sent to the hostess as my husband moved him down the road and released him UNHARMED into the woods across the road, for our stay anyway...so we thought! The next Day, guess who was lurking around at us from the outside corner of the house? Done with VRBO!

New Years/Birthday weekend

We really enjoyed our stay. The teens had lots of stuff to keep them off their phones. The views and privacy were amazing! They were bummed they couldn't access/find the weight room but they survived! Would have been nice to have a pull out bed in the couch, but the teens were able to make it work. We want to stay again next year!

Perfect for a long weekend

The house is surrounded by mountain and farmland views, and there's a lot of space to explore on the property itself. The teenagers enjoyed the multiple game tables, firepits two nights in a row, and we even spent a minute--all five of us--laying on our backs and stargazing. We were comfortable having our doodle off-leash because he doesn't roam much, but the property isn't fenced in. Overall, the house is really well set-up for a weekend of "unplugged" family time.

Lovely Retreat

We had a wonderful time at the Retreat! The house was well stocked with whatever you may need for an unplugged time to relax & recharge. The views are spectacular! We brought my son's dog and enjoyed checking out the trials down to the water. We visited local breweries and wineries then came back and cooked steaks on the grill. We would definitely come back to the Retreat!

My observations

The property sleeps eight but the kitchen table does not provide seating for eight nor was there living room seating for eight. The furniture had visible dust including the bedroom dresser where the clean towels were placed. The bathroom was not clean as evidenced by spots and hair on the toilet, hair in the bathtub and sink. The windows were dirty which diminished the beautiful outside views.

Relaxation!

My husband and I and 2 other couples had a lovely friends weekend. We enjoyed walking around the property and playing pool and other games. We had dinner and breakfast at Southern Kitchen. Highly recommend this restaurant. We also enjoyed Bluestone and Triple Hills wineries. Our hosts were very attentive and quick to respond. Hope to return again soon.

50th Bday Celebration

This was our 2nd time staying at this place, & enjoyed it as much this time as last besides the 2 un-welcomed over 5ft long snake skins under the front porch (scared of snakes) but it didnt stop us from having fun.. & started alil thing w hitting flea markets and buying a couple movies (super duper cheap) watching them and leaving for the nxt renters, always have to have a scary spooky one to watch to! Cant wait till our nxt time which is probably August for the 43 MileYard Crawl ☆ Thanks for sharing your lil piece of heaven w my family!

Large, open and flowing Kitchen, living room and dinning room combination. Stainless steel refrigerator, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, and much more. We have a small creek, where you can fish , but great to look at.
