Property was excellent!!! Mike was a fabulous and very responsive host. The bedrooms were comfortable and the living room / game room were great for our family visit. The property is very dog friendly and is very well stocked. Large dining room table was great for our family dinners as well. The location was great and was super quiet but yet close enough to everywhere we needed to go.

Excellent location, heavenly vistas, close to Mt. Washington, scenic rail rides and many great restaurants. The house was spacious, the kitchen very well equipped and beds were comfortable. Many areas needed cleaning, starting with the porch, and all rooms were dusty.

Storeyland Friends Trip

Had a great trip with our friends and our kids. The kids really enjoyed the loft area and the toys. The record collection was a great addition. The house was really well stocked with some essentials. The location is perfect, you can even hear the rollercoasters at storeyland! Great stay.

Near to hikes, skiing, restaurants and shopping

Great location for local hikes, skiing, and walking distance to Storyland. Plenty of good restaurant options. 20 min from N Conway train and shopping area. Helpful host. Nice quiet neighborhood to walk dogs. Multi level home would not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues. Large family room would be excellent for kids to play.

Great spot

Great comfortable house that's a nice 10-minute walk from Story Land and the aquarium -- great to not have to deal with parking there, and although there's a hill, our youngest (6 years old) was able to do the walk with no problems. Walking along nice quiet roads, not the highway. There's a game/play room that the kids loved, nice outdoor spot with a fire pit, and we also had a great time exploring the vinyl collection on the turntable with a great sound system in the living room.The host sent over a huge list of recommended local spots beforehand that was a great help, and overall the place was comfortable and clean, no problems getting checked in or out, and we had a great time there. Recommended!

Storyland weekend

Fantastic house and location!

We loved our stay here because it was close to Storyland and not far from Santa’s Village. The house was clean and had everything we needed. The beds were super comfortable. I loved going through the record collection! The host was very responsive and helpful. I definitely recommend staying here!

Everything was great and great communication with the owner, but one big problem was the one room with a pull out couch had no heat and was not usable in the winter.

Best ski house ever!

This was our 3rd time staying at the million-dollar sunset house and we will keep coming back. It is perfect for a group ski weekend-the kitchen is so well equipped, and the house has so many fun ski themed decorations-it feels like a real home. Mike is so responsive with any questions, and we have no problems at all. So close to Attitash and Wildcat. And we LOVE the record player and album collection!!!

Labor Day retret

Great location for hiking and all the area has to offer. Nice deck for relaxing, all the amenities you need. Old school albums a great addition to our cocktail hours!!

Great spot for access to everything

Overall, this was a great place for a family. Our only issue was that the grounds could use some TLC. Weeds were overgrown in the grounds and near the fire pit. The back of the house is severely overgrown also. Other than that, everything was great for a family.

Amazing views!

The weather was wonderful for early Fall so we spent time on the deck enjoying the sun and incredible Mountain View! The open floor plan allowed for plenty of family time and the kitchen had everything we needed. Owner was very responsive on the few occasions we needed to reach out. This property worked well for our three families!

Perfect place for a family reunion

My cousins and I came up to North Conway for a long planned weekend and this place was the perfect location for it. The house was big enough for all 10 of us and it was secluded enough that we didn’t have to be too quiet at night (we are a loud family). It was also the perfect spot for those of us that went hiking at Tuckerman’s and for when we went to Nostalgia night at Storyland. Mike was easy to communicate with and the house was comfortable and clean. Would definitely stay here again for a long weekend with family or friends.

Sweet house in a great location

Our first family gathering in two years and this was the ideal house for us all! So super comfortable, well appointed in every way possible, great location to head out and explore everyday and we all loved the amazing vinyl collection! We had a hot week, so very much appreciated the AC and also loved the air hockey table and games on a rainy day. Mike was super responsive if we had any questions. Love love love this house and can’t wait to do another family stay!

Plus and Minus

The views were great. The area very quiet and relaxing. The upstairs in regards to house keeping was perfect along with the record collection. I rated this a plus and minus because of the amount of spiders that would appear in and around the bedrooms and bathroom downstairs. You could see them walking on the carpets in all of the rooms and in the bathroom. If I was to go again I would bring some bug spray with me. Marcel

Story Land

We had a great stay! Our itinerary included a visit to Story Land and the location could not have been better. The house was perfect for four adults and three kids, who loved the large den/play room. Our only minor quibble was the number of dead bugs and spider webs in the downstairs bathroom, but it’s possible the house had gone unoccupied for some time before our arrival and some tiny critters decided to take advantage. But hey, it’s a house in the woods; what else should one expect? Overall it didn’t bother anyone and we really enjoyed our visit!

Flashback in time

This house is very well loved by the owner. It has more of an Air B&B feel of “we are sharing our space with you” than a VRBO. The house is very personalized to them, a bit outdated heavily decorated. The location was great, we were there for mountaineering & it was less than a mile away. The town is small, cute & close. There was also an amusement park at the bottom of the hill that our girls loved. The house could use a deep clean, maybe new carpet. Being with small children we are always in search of shoes & while looking under beds we found some small stuffed animals & toys that weren’t ours. Overall, if we were in this area again this house would not be my first choice.

Love the area

I am big on reviews as we all work hard for our vacations. I agree with all the 5 star ratings that it was a great space-well stocked and we enjoyed out stay. I did email the owner to let them know of a few things that I thought I would like to know when I rent. The only outdoor yard is the fire pit which was over grown with weeds and the picnic table was broken and unusable, not in good condition which was unfortunate for us as we love to sit by the fire at night. The ac only worked on the lower level and although was flowing was not cooling the living area upstairs but we did notice lots of overgrowth around the unit-There was only 1 regular sized outdoor barrell on the deck and nowhere to put overflow. Having an infant and dog the diapers and dog bags were not something we wanted to smell while on the deck and being on vacation with that # of people there was nowhere to put the trash but on the deck where we sat in morning and evening. The transfer station you needed a permit and the gold course you needed a code-neither of which were provided. The ping pong table was on its last leg but we were able to use it during out stay which was great because my family looks for homes with ping pong tables when we vacation. I notified the owner of all these issues as he has not been up there in quite awhile but I'm sure knowing of these issues they will be address for future renters. Again we enjoyed our time and the space was great-music system outside was a perk just wanted to give heads up of things I would have liked to know before I chose our rental. Thank you, Eileen L

Great stay in the whites!

What a great place! We went for my husband to finish his 48th, 4000 footer and it couldn't have been more perfect. There was plenty of room for all of us to have our own bedrooms and then hang out in the common areas. We are a music family, so the turn table was definitely a highlight every night after a day of hiking. We were a couple of families of all adults, so no need for Story Land, but if you are a young family this is a perfect location for that as well. House was well stocked with anything you might need and was very clean. The owner was easily accessible by phone and answered any question immediately. Thank you for allowing us to stay at your property.
