Inomhus Jacuzzi i uteserveringen tillsammans med ett spelbord och bar allt gjort i smakfull logginredning. Njut av en film på storskärms-tv på den bekväma sektionsbänken i källaren eller ha ett kortspel eller monopol på det stora spelbordet. På övervåningen kan du njuta av gasspeisen och stänga av musiken eller titta på din favorit tv-show. Läs en bok på övre däck vid bordet under paraplyet som fåglarna äter på matare nedanför. Hummingbirds flödar på våren och du kan se öringen simma i det grunda vattnet i South Toe River. Njut av en eld ner vid floden vid eldstaden; samla fallna grenar eller ta med eget trä. På sommaren kan du hyra innerslangar och släppa barnen uppströms för att de ska komma ut direkt på din bakgård. Forellfiskare är en vanlig syn såväl som andra familjer som flyter nedströms. Sova på natten med dina fönster öppna och låt ljudet av floden luta dig i vila! Vakna uppfräschat med en stor kopp te eller kaffe vid köksbordet som ser rakt ut vid South Toe River.

Beautiful home with great views

We loved our stay! Loved being right on river. Host was very quick with responses before getting there and during our stay. The hot tub was wonderful especially during this time of year. We will definitely be back!

Feels like home

This was our second stay at this property and it was just as we remembered. The location is so convenient to everything you could want in the mountains and with the steps to the river making it so accessible it’s hard to beat. As soon as you walk in the home you feel as though it is a family home and not just another rental property, and that made our stay so much more relaxing especially with smaller kids. We love the property and hope to be back soon!

Cozy mountain cottage

We’ve stayed here several times and will definitely be back. Beautiful location on the river. Very comfortable and nicely decorated house. Great kitchen with everything you need. Very responsive hosts. And the hot tub is a really nice extra. Perfect getaway.

Great Family Vacation

Excellent place for a vacation. The house was great and had everything we needed. The view of the river was fantastic off the two decks. We enjoyed family poker games on the big game table in the basement

Home on the river

This is a great place to stay. It was clean and peaceful. It is equipped with anything you could possibly need to include walking sticks, fishing poles, and more games than a toy store. We thoroughly enjoyed nearby daytime adventures and relaxing in the evening. We would love to come back and stay a week!

Such a lovely place!

We had a wonderful visit to this clean, cozy home beside a beautiful river! We especially enjoyed skipping rocks in the river, hiking at Mt. Mitchell, and watching the chipmunks and hummingbirds at the backyard feeders. I definitely recommend that other guests fill the feeders when they stay as well! Thank you for everything!

Fishing trip

My family and friends come up here every year to trout fish in the spring, this has been the house we have come to for the past few years. Very comfortable and welcoming place to stay, everything you need is ready to use. Always clean , very comfy beds as well. Plan to continue coming back in the years to come!

Relaxing, family-home feel vacation spot!

This rental was as cozy as visiting family. Every amenity was available, and the whole home was clean and comfortable. The river was excellent for tubing, dogs, and trout fishing. We had a lovely time!

A trip we will never forget

What an amazing community! I have been overwhelmed with the loving and generous people of Celo. I have never been anywhere similar and the owners are so blessed to have a home there. Relaxing Girls Getaway

The property was absolutely gorgeous! The house had everything we needed and plenty of room for 6 girlfriends to escape for a little R&R. We enjoyed the little town of Burnsville!

Robin and Mike Fowler (mostly Robin 😊) är värd

Mike and Robin are empty nesters with two grown sons; Mike is retired from the US Army and Robin owns her own business. Oldest son is in the Army following in Dad's footsteps and youngest son is working with youth at the church he grew up in.

Varför värden valde detta boende

Mike went to college at Western Carolina University and his parents bought a home in the general area many years ago. We spent many years looking for just the right home and it HAD to be on the river. Mike really enjoys fly fishing and Robin just likes the serenity of being close to the water. Both of us actually grew up in South Florida so having a home in the mountains has always been a dream for us.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

When we get there it isn't unusual for Robin to just settle in, read books and relax. We enjoy going to the square to eat and visit our favorite clothing and gift shops. For lunch, there is the Garden Deli where you can eat inside or out and it's right on the square. There is a new Brewery off the square HomePlace which has pretty good food. In the spring, summer and fall, there is a craft fair featuring all kinds of local ware right on the square. There is a quaint little ONE SCREEN old-time theater that we are hoping gets refurbished and there is even live theater at Parkway Playhouse. You can check for events on Yancey County Chamber of Commerce website. Mt Mitchell Golf Course is 10 minutes up the road and Carolina Hemlocks is a state park/camp site where you can rent tubes and play in the river. Grandfather Mountain is about 45 minutes away and has great view and places to picnic. Crabtree Falls is a campground/state park that allows you to follow the trail down to view a very cool 60 ft waterfall, just remember you have to hike back up. Be sure and take the walking sticks provided at the house! This is a challenging hike. You can do a lot or nothing at all and still have a wonderful time.
