The house was great and very roomy. The beds were comfortable and worked great for our family. Because of the large size of the house, it did feel a little sparce and missing some of the items that can make it feel like a home away from home. Some additional decorations and decor would make it feel warmer. Still a great place to stay. The attached covered garage and living space? was a surprise but didn't effect the comfort or private the rental property.

This place was pretty special being right along the trail and the tide pools. The house had everything we needed. It was very clean. The hosts were wonderful. Located in a very good spot. There are no complaints and would definitely recommend this house.

The house has a beautiful view, which is the highlight of the property. The home needs some TLC; a deep clean, the fridge needs a deep clean and minor repairing, refreshed furnishings and cohesive decor. It’s not big on aesthetics and could use refreshed dining set and more furniture. Ex. The kitchen was spacious but missing a table and/or seating/nook, just space. The “4th room” is just a bunk in a laundry room. The ensuite bathroom door needs oiling or fixing. Also, no TVs in any of the bedrooms. The home overall is OK, a decent find for last minute plans.

The space was perfect for our family.However, the plates, silverware, and towels were not as plentiful as I would have expected. The place could have used a good cleaning prior to arrival -- there were crumbs in the dining area. There were a few other things (e.g. toilet paper holder in master bath, fridge bottom roller top, stained towels/sheets) that really would be good to address.

The house was clean and we had enough space. However, it would be nice if there were a shower bench for those less mobile to safely take a shower. Also, meal preparation would have been easier if there was a can opener. Otherwise, the kitchen was supplied with what we needed. One chair in the dining room needs some tightening because it wobbles. Also, we noticed a small amount of dog feces in the back yard. We didn’t have a dog with us. I felt the host was very helpful and informative.

El Cajon Get-away

The property met our needs as it was clean, accommodating and conveniently located. The bedrooms, living and dining area and the kitchen are all good sized. The bathrooms are a bit small but workable. Would like to see the home stocked with some basic necessities (e.g. a broom or vacuum cleaner, other cleaning supplies). Would be nice to have extra blankets available as well. The view is spectacular, but less than half of the described large backyard is accessible as you are not allowed to use it. Would be very helpful to have a instruction book for the home so you can know how to use appliances, the home heater, when garbage pick-up is, etc. There were pluses and minuses, but would definitely rent the property again.

Overall Good place. Dishwasher was full when we arrived. Someone else’s dogs messes were left in the back yard when we had checked in. We were not very impressed with whoever they have cleaning this property. I would personally fire them if this was my rental property. This is the first impression your renter is getting once they check in. Other than that the property was just as advertised. Only other issue was mine. I was just recently confined to a wheelchair. Luckily it was a small one. So it just barely fit into the bathroom. I also didn’t request a handicapped unit. But all of the house and the hallways fit me just well. Over very nice place, just bad cleaners. Terry O.
