Great Location and Layout, But Needs Some TLC

To start with the positives: the house is in a fantastic location—centrally situated and just a short walk to the beach, restaurants, and local attractions. The layout is spacious and well-designed, and the patio is a definite highlight—perfect for relaxing outdoors. The kitchen is another strong point: it’s well-equipped with everything you need to cook and functions smoothly. That said, there are a few areas that could use attention, all of which are relatively easy fixes. First, the windows. One of the main reasons to book this home is for the views, but unfortunately, the windows were extremely dirty—covered in bird droppings and grime to the point where you couldn’t enjoy the scenery. My husband gave them a quick rinse with the hose, which helped a lot—imagine the difference if they were professionally cleaned! Second, the beds could use improvement. They weren’t unbearable, but they definitely lacked comfort. A quality mattress topper on each bed would make a huge difference in sleep quality. Lastly, the blinds need replacing. Many didn’t function properly—some wouldn’t go down, others wouldn’t stay up, and several had broken cords or damaged slats. Since the view is a major selling point for this house, having functional, clean blinds would enhance the experience significantly. Overall, this is a great rental with a lot of potential. With a bit of maintenance and attention to detail, it could easily be a five-star stay.

Our stay

It was ok, nothing more or less than expected. Clean and centrally located. However, no access to beach on property, public access is down the road. The beach is not steps away, it is many steep stairs away. If you have any issues with walking or stairs I can not recommend this listing.

Fantastic View - House itself needs some attention

This place has a fantastic view and loved just sitting on the deck or on the couch with door open and listening to the waves. Perfectly located within a couple minute walk to two beach access stairs. However, the place needs some attention to get it up to par with other rentals. Faulty fixtures (light, kitchen sink faucet), wallpaper peeling off, a bed that is too tall to comfortably get in and out of, two mini fridges instead of 1 actual fridge plus some other items that just made it feel off. Kitchen was well stocked with dishware and cookware and had a decent selection of spices. Also there is another house on the property that sits just behind this one with a deck that is just above the roof. I am not sure if anyone was there during our stay, but found it odd that the entrance to that house is right in front of the kitchen window, which looks through the main area of the home and no blind so anyone going into that house could look right in on you.

Great view

The view was great. The decor was nice. Loved having a deck overlooking the ocean. Beach access was really close. I look forward to staying here again!

Can't beat the view

The view and proximity to the beach was my favorite part of this property. I will say like another reviewer, the listing and photo is highly misleading in the aspect that this property is NOT directly on the beach NOR does it have beach access from the UNIT. The photo I'm specifically talking about in the listing is the one of the deck that has what appears to be a gate and steps. ( I thought they were steps to the beach perhaps) but I was highly mistaken as the home is on a very steep cliff overlooking the ocean. For me, it was only a slight disappointment because the view is AMAZING still from above. You can access the beach probably 5 minutes via walk down passed nearby hotels you will find public stairs to get down. What I did like about the property in addition to the great price for the view and prime location in Lincoln City, was how equipped the home came. It had pretty much everything we needed for our stay. We were able to make a lovely breakfast and dinner with no issues. The deck was very spacious and we enjoyed our meals out on the picnic table. The home inside itself is very dated and old fashioned, but that is merely aesthetics. I do feel that amazing view would have been slightly better if those big windows would have been cleaned thoroughly and more often. No screen on patio was a con, no windows that opened in the living area for breeze, also no fans to help cool off given that there is no ac. I suggest a tower fan of some sort to have guests plug in. Small window did open in each bedroom. Beds weren't the most comfortable or the choice of linens, pillows... Liked the toiletries provided in the bathroom. Another con was that there was no curtain, shade for kitchen window which faced the street, any one could look in... I didn't feel the most comfortable with that. Overall, it was an enjoyable stay, but I probably would not stay again given it didn't have direct beach access.

Fabulous view of the ocean

The view was everything! it was like having the ocean right in the room with you. Cozy for two people for a few days vacation. Convenient location close to town but away from the traffic noise. Comfortable beds and living room couches. Deck overlooking the ocean too! tiny kitchen well-stocked.

Absolutely stunning!

Phenomenal view and super close to the rise pools! Be sure to check them out during your stay! You never know what you'll find! Some of the fixtures are broken like the blinds and light/fan switches but it didn't really effect our stay much.

The View is incredible, but that is all!

The home was dingy, and needs a deep cleaning. The blinds in the bedroom only go a third of the way down. One set was broken. This listing is quite deceiving with its pictures. This home sets on a cliff! The beach is NOT steps away. Beach access is through a public area down the street. There was food and crumbs in the couch. Also, we were never supplied the WiFi information after several attempts through guest services. The listing specifically says beach access and that the beach is only steps away…steps away would be off a cliff! The gate in the picture is literally screwed shut with screws. Very deceiving!! If all you want is a view, this may appeal to you. However, we cannot recommend this home in its current state.
