2500 kvadratfot Brownstone öppnar för en stor farstun, och fortsätter att ett stort elegant vardagsrum, matsal med bord för 8, pulver rum, och en välfylld kök med nya apparater, inklusive en dubbel ugn och bänkskivor i granit. Köket öppnar ut till en privat däck med en uteplats omgiven av frodiga landskapsarkitektur.

Den 2: a våningen har ett lyxigt sovrum med en kung temperpedic madrass, eget badrum med jacuzzi och stå upp dusch. Det finns också en tvättstuga med helt ny tvättmaskin och torktumlare.

Den 3: e våningen har 3 sovrum, ett med en dubbelsäng, ett med en dubbelsäng och ett med en tvilling med en rulla som drar ut till en annan enkelsäng. Great stay in Charlestown

We stayed for a week with extended family to celebrate Thanksgiving in Boston. This property was great! We served many big meals, had a very well equipped kitchen. One thing to note is the upstairs room with the futon in it is a pass-through room that two other bedrooms open into, we had a teenager sleeping in there, and it was fine, but not much privacy. Compared to many other Boston properties, the stairs are not too steep, and not too narrow, which was great for my in-laws. Would love to stay again!

Amazing Staycation

We loved staying here! It’s cute, cozy, and clean! It’s the perfect place for a girls’ trip or a staycation. The owner is also very nice and accommodating. We definitely recommend booking this spot!

Awesome stay!

Came here with 5 buddies to explore Boston for the first time and this place was perfect for our size group. The house is spacious and clean and the neighborhood is nice and chill. Kate was a great host and super accommodating.

Great stay

We really enjoyed our stay here. The space is beautiful, comfortable, and clean. There is plenty of space throughout the home. The beds are comfortable. Great location to enjoy Charlestown and can easily access downtown Boston.

Few days in Boston

The home was exactly as described and perfectly located for a family to enjoy exploring the city. Parking though was very difficult during the week and I would suggest leaving your car at home.

I feel like the description of the location was somewhat misleading. The street and neighborhood was not so central, but nice. It is a nice house, although kitchen and upstairs bathroom floors could use some cleaning. Stairway carpets smell a little, perhaps there are pets there. All in all it was a good family moment and the host was super nice. However, VRBO overcharged us.

Awesome in townhouse!

Very cool, historic Brownstone right in the middle of Charlestown. 5 minutes to North End, Back Bay & Beacon Hill, Chinatown. Easy to get to the North Shore for Beaches & a wicked roast beef sandwich! 😁😎😎 Highly recommended!!!

Graduation week

We had a very busy week so it was wonderful to have a place to stay that was comfortable and quiet. Great spot to see Boston or Cambridge and return. Owner is very responsive. The VRBO is clean and everything works. Beds are comfortable and showers have excellent pressure and ample hot water. We’d stay here again!

Kate was awesome through and through. From letting us check-in early, to the place being bigger and nicer than the pictures indicated, everything was perfect. We even decided we didn't need a car and just used public transit. Thanks!

Classic Charlestown Apartment

We (three Harvard roommates/wives) stayed at this elegant Charlestown brownstone apartment last month. Great location for our university reunion. The apartment is warm, spacious and very, very comfortable. Large bedrooms with 2+ baths. Great common area, dining room and new kitchen appliances. Brilliant sojourn. We would definitely rent this property again.

Great property with great low-key location

Relatively secluded property, quiet (narrow!) street, short walk to the T and also shops, grocery store. Basketball court (outdoor) nearby! Kathryn was attentive as needed, though we admittedly were without a means of getting into the property for awhile when we arrived --- in hindsight, not a big deal but stressful at the time. Three floors, so if you're not good going up/down stairs, you might look for another place. Thanks for the hospitality, Kathryn!

Reunion

To celebrate our 60th birthdays and reunite after 35 years, 7 college roommates gathered to rekindle our friendship. The “best” part of the house, for us, was the large dining room/table where we spent hours over coffee and later champagne! The rain storm kept us inside which turned out to be cozy and warm and full of fun but the deck and garden seating would be wonderful in warm sunny weather! When we did venture out, we could walk to or Uber close by. Parking was not an issue thanks to a close parking garage and local business closed on weekends. We had everything we needed from comfy beds to thirsty towels and enjoyed the tasteful decor that was so welcoming. Kate was available by text for the few questions we did have and checked in by phone before our arrival to ensure we had what we needed.

FALL GET AWAY IN COLONIAL CHARLESTOWN

Everything was great. Your home worked perfectly for the group of 6 we had staying there. Beautifully furnished and kitchen well appointed. We alternated Ubering and walking back and forth to and from the North End. We were pleasantly surprised at how close it was.. I had been to Boston many times (my daughter went to school there), but had never spent any time in Charlestown. What a charming neighborhood. Clean. Safe. Friendly. Picturesque. We frequented the Warren Tavern and Monument. Best of all, we dodged the predicted rain and had perfect sunny fall New England weather. Overall a great experience. Thank you for sharing your home.

Great for Entire Family in town for Graduation!

This property was large, comfortable, and charming enough to house my husband, son, mother, mother-in-law, and myself while we were in town to attend our daughter's extensive graduation activities. The neighborhood was quiet. The house is very well stocked with kitchen items, linens, and laundry items. The property owner is attentive, responsive, and gives great advice. What you see in the pictures is very accurate. If anyone in your family has an issue with stairs, you might want to give some consideration to the fact that one flight of stairs is required to access the master bedroom and a second flight of stairs is required to access the remaining bedrooms. Also, consider that at least one pull-out bed is available in the 1st floor living room area. You will see a lot of comments about limited parking. I will only say that this was a very small issue for us, given all the other benefits. We discussed ideas with the property owner and we were able to manage two cars. My entire family was quite pleased with this property. 5 Stars all the way.

Problem with Mice at this Property

I cannot recommend this property based on our experience. The first issue was that we should have received the lock box code the day before our arrival. We still had not received this information as we were boarding our flight to Boston from Toronto, and I had to call the owner to get this information. The second issue was that within 10 minutes of entering the property, we saw a mouse run across the dining room floor. My husband covered up some holes in the floor and we hoped that this was an isolated incidence, and that the mouse had gone back into the basement. We were supposed to stay in Boston for 3 nights and had nowhere else to stay at this point. The next day my husband bought some mouse traps. We did not see another mouse during our stay, but as my sister was leaving the property on our check-out day, she noticed that a snack pack of cookies she had in her purse on the 3rd floor had been chewed through. When my husband next opened his suitcase later that day, there was also evidence that a mouse had chewed through a granola bar in his suitcase (we were staying on the 2nd floor). I sent an email to the owner informing her that her house had mice (in case she was unaware that there was an infestation of mice in her property). It is unlikely that there was only one mouse involved on all 3 floors. I did not receive a reply from her. A normal response would have been an apology at the very least. There is a lot of clutter under the kitchen sink, which would be a prime place for a mice nest. We also did not find the beds comfortable. This is a very expensive property, and I expected much more from this property (at least to be mice free). I was frankly horrified to find out that there were mice going through our bags. Mice can carry a variety of diseases and are a definite health concern. I have rented from VRBO many times in the past, and this is the first time I have been unsatisfied with a property and have had to write a poor review. I have filed a complaint with VRBO so that hopefully no one else has to go through this same experience.

Beautiful home and great location if not parking a vehicle

Property host was very accommodating once we realized it was not the right fit for our large family driving a suburban Better fit for group without a vehicle planning to use public transportation or Uber. Home was beautiful and clean and host was very good to deal with.
