Newly Renovated Wooded Oasis Near OU's Campus in Athens
Relax and enjoy this exquisite 2024 renovated space nestled in an acre of woods. Just a Âœ mile walk to the edge of campus, youâll feel right at home in the lower level in our own family home decorated and supplied with love and care. Cook in the charming kitchen, rest in the cozy bedroom, enjoy a serene shower or bath; converse or watch TV in the living room + office with a gas fireplace and plenty of natural light. A washer/dryer unit is even provided just outside the kitchen.
Our home is just a one mile walk to the heart of campus yet feels remote in a neighborhood of just six homes surrounded by woods. You'll stay in the completely private walkout basement of our family home, complete with a kitchen, full bathroom and laundry, a patio with outdoor dining, and a backyard staircase for easier access to Richland Avenue. We have a large, open yard, a climbing dome, swings, and playground equipment to keep your kids active.
There are up to three parking spots available right outside our home. A very beautiful, comfortable space year-round, there are windows in every room with a view of an acre of forest. We've put a lot of love and care into making your space special and comfortable. We are just a message away and often right upstairs if you need anything at all.
Given you'll be staying in the lower level of our family home, we do require you share the purpose of your visit as a safety precaution. When you book, please be sure to include a note about what brings you to visit Athens. Appreciate it and we look forward to hosting you!

My wife and I have lived in this home for 8 years and are excited to open it up to Vbro guests. We are avid travelers and experienced the benefits of Vbro first hand. We have lived in Athens for over ten years and work at OHIO UNIVERSITY. We have a four and one year old sons, and love our unique Athens community. We are also very active and spend many evenings running on the bike path and trails, hiking The Ridges, and exploring Bailey's, Hocking Hills & the surrounding region.
Less than a mile walk to the heart of OHIO UNIVERSITY (Baker Center) and Uptown Athens, our space allows you to leave your car and explore the surroundings. We look forward to meeting you.
