Om boendet

Mina föräldrar arbetade så hårt för att köpa den här fastigheten och byggde sitt "drömhus". Ord som jag hör för att beskriva ett besök i The Hut är: vilsam och avkopplande. Denna fastighet är en 62 hektar historisk plantage som var en verklig arbetande plantage på en gång.
Det pryds med södra charm och trettio 400 år gamla levande ekar. Bara 1 kilometer från Charleston Executive Airport. De fyra sovrum hus med fem badrum ligger på en djup vattendäck och nybyggd flytande docka bara 20 minuters bilresa till antingen Charleston och Kiawah och Seabrook öarna. Många älskar Lowcountry Gullah köket från lokala kockar om du gillar räkor, grits och Charleston Rött ris. YUM!

Hut plantage är inte bara en underbar plats för familjesemester, men vissa har haft små (under 90 personer) vackra bröllop för en extra kostnad. Skjut mig bara ett mail för att få detaljerna!

Spectacular marsh views

This remarkable location and homey, vintage decor will leave you nostalgic for the days of yore. If you've got a child remotely interested in planes, they'll love watching the small aircraft taking off from the sleepy nearby airport. Kayaking was a blast. This spot is perfect for star gazing, fishing, crabbing, boating, and birdwatching. A perfectly adequate food lion and several restaurants are all less than a 15 minutes drive. Jane was excellent with communications and very quickly ensured that a small issue was quickly resolved. Highly recommend this spot for a quiet, low country getaway.

Celebration

This was the 2nd time we've stayed at the Hut. Both times were for family celebrations of college accomplishments. Jane was absolutely wonderful in communications. Would recommend many times over.

Magnificent Trees

The house has been immaculately maintained. The views are absolutely incredible, and the trees are breathtaking! Jane is a phenomenal host.

Quick Getaway

The property was peaceful and beautiful with all the old trees along with the wildlife in the background. Enjoyed being able to kayak in the creek which was fun during high tide. Communication was great with Jane.

Best family get together

This property was the perfect setting for family who have not seen each other for over 4 years. We originally had another reservation that was canceled and I quickly started my search and found the Hut. There are no fancy amenities, but everything worked and had exactly what we needed. We all spent our entire time on the back porch with the amazing breeze that came of the creek. The TV in the den never came on because we were always outside. They have a fire pit, Kayaks, grill, fishing poles anything you need for the outdoors, even a hammock in the yard under the giant oaks. I live in West Ashley and would definitely consider booking this home for a staycation. They are quick to respond to every question you may have.

The Hut

Wonderful house- beautiful yard and surroundings! My family enjoyed the week at Johns Island. They fished at the creek behind the house and saw alligators and a dolphin. There were birds that came every day to the fields. Amazing week!

Perfect weekend

The property was perfect, we held our daughter’s wedding ceremony under the gorgeous trees and it was absolutely beautiful! Every guest commented how breathtaking the property was. It was so peaceful, we saw turkey, deer, turtles, an alligator, and some many birds. The host was quick to respond to any questions we had.

Scenic wedding spot

The grounds at this place are unmatched. With the beautiful oak trees, green bushes, on site pond, vibrant wildlife (deer, turkeys, etc) and neighboring horse farm all right on the marsh near the visible Stono River, you can’t beat a better nature get away. It was the perfect backdrop for our wedding nuptials. Even the quaint, rustic house gives you a relaxed feel to escape from the hustle of the world for a bit. We really enjoyed it. Thank you

Everything you would ever need.

We completely enjoyed our stay. This is a magnificent property covered with Live Oaks and azaleas. Frontage on Hut Creek makes for easy access to the water for kayaking and fishing. There is plenty of room to run for any dogs that you might bring. The house is very comfortable and well appointed with a great east-facing porch for catching the sunrise. The location of this property is out of the frenetic pace of Folly Beach and Charleston, but literally 20 minutes or less to virtually anything that you would want to do in the Charleston area.

Beautiful Property!

We stayed 3 nights for a wedding that was 2.5 miles away. The location was perfect. There was plenty of room for the 7 of us. The owners suggested some restaurants that we tried and enjoyed. It was an easy drive to Charleston for the day after the wedding. The property is so beautiful with old oak trees. It is so peaceful. The home is older with decor from years ago but very clean and comfortable. My parents enjoyed looking at all the older items in the home. The owners were very nice when we thought my adult son was going to need to bring his diabetic older pup which meant so much. Thankfully he was able to leave her with family but at least we knew bringing her was an option. The owners always responded quickly. I would definitely stay here again. Thanks again!

Thanksgiving in Charleston

Jane was very helpful and attentive. I would definitely stay again. We had a very nice time and were able to explore both the Johns Island area and beaches as well as historic Charleston (our first time in the area). All-in-all, we had a wonderful time.

It was like stepping back in time, to a little slice of heaven

We had my daughter's wedding here and it was so magical! Even though we had rain, it was still so amazing! Staying at the Hut is like staying at your grandparents house! I loved it and the property is an artist's dream. Jane is so friendly and giving! I look forward to reading more of her books!

Weekend of my wildest dreams

I do not have enough words to express my thankfulness to Jane and her husband and the joy from our stay at this property. We asked to have our wedding here when we booked the property and Jane let us visit a few times leading up to the weekend to make sure everything was perfect! Jane was an incredible host-- so responsive, kind, and truly just a treasure to connect with! Prior to the weekend of our stay, a hurricane blew through and Jane and her husband were SO helpful in communicating with us and they themselves helped the yard team to clean up all the debris (it literally looked like nothing had ever happened). The pictures of this property do not do it justice-- it is the most magical display of the low-country. Not only is it beautiful, it is so quiet and peaceful and became the most dreamy setting for our wedding weekend. We wished we could have stayed forever!!! Thankful is an understatement.

South Carolina Getaway

Amazing place!

My husband, 2 sons (ages 17 & 20), parents, and sister all stayed at this beautiful property. The property was super clean and exactly like it was described. There was plenty of room for us all to spread out. Check in was easy. I would love to stay again!

What an incredible place

justice! Jane was awesome from the very beginning and even let us stay an extra night at no charge. The hut was just as described and way better than expected. Very clean. The one The pictures do not do this place justice! The views are unbeaten and the entire property is beautiful. I would and probably will book this place in the future!

Graduation, 21st bday and Mother’s Day Celebration!

The Hut was everything we could’ve hoped for and more! It was a beautiful setting for a celebration, the weather was perfect and Jane was so easy to deal with. Very relaxing and beautiful setting. Plenty of room to spread out in the house or gather together and play games. Will definitely be looking at renting again for our next celebration!
