We enjoyed our stay at this inviting mountain home. The owners provided clear instructions and communicated well--not just about the house but also about community events that were happening during our time there. The kitchen was well stocked, the beds comfortable, and there were a variety of toys for our little ones to play with. We enjoyed the trail behind the house that borders a national forest.

Great Family Stay for Palisades and Lake Tahoe

Excellent house for our family vacation (my husband and I, my parents, my brother and sister in law and toddler niece). Easy driving distance into Truckee, to Palisades Tahoe, and down to North Lake Tahoe. Hosts are very prepared and have excellent communication.

Lovely mountain cabin

The cabin is a very comfortable, cozy place to stay in the Truckee area. It is close to hikes, golf, biking, and stores and restaurants. The cabin has a well-equipped kitchen and comfortable beds and sofas. Hosts were great. We stayed here during the COVID isolation time and the hosts kept us well-informed of what was going on. Even over the Fourth of July holiday the neighborhood was quiet and not crowded. Great place to enjoy all that Truckee/Tahoe/Donner has to offer.

Beautiful house in a quiet area, with thoughtful amenities throughout. We really enjoyed the Tahoe Donner area, and appreciated the ability to go to the clubhouse for dinner. It is within 30 minutes of Lake Tahoe, and served as our base for multiple trips there, as well as to Reno. Everything in the house was in good condition, and we appreciated having the garage to park in at night. Highly recommended!

Family friendly home with great snowplay area behind

The house is as described and it worked particularly well for us where we had two toddlers. The owners have made the house very young family friendly. Also there is an extensive forest area behind the house with gentle slopes so we were able to introduce the little ones to snow and tobogganing.

Great Ski Get Away

Our primary purpose was to ski the Lake Tahoe resorts. This place was like a home away from home. It has all the comforts and amenities a family needs and is close to shopping and the ski slopes. Nestled in a wooded community, it is cozy, clean and comfy. Our host Maureen was wonderful and responsive. She sent us area happenings and suggestions during our stay. We simply enjoyed our time and would rent again.

Best Airbnb we ever stayed!

Maureen's place is just perfect. The cleanest, extremely well stocked and safe for kids. If you have young toddlers, don't look elsewhere. Her place has safety gates, high chairs, pack and plays, toys and books. Also a lot of fun for kids all ages. We were 4 adults, 2 kids and 1 toddler and there was plenty of space. The community is amazing, the kids could play in the front and backyard, plus we did a 2 min drive to their HOA snowplay and had a blast. Maureen and Chris are the best hosts we ever had too. They are so responsive, helpful, incredibly organized and detail oriented, made everything easy and every process seamless. They were extra attentive and helpful when we were driving during a snow storm, and even left the heater going before we arrived. Can't recommend them enough and for sure this will be our go to place anytime we go to Tahoe! Thank you so much Maureen and Chris for everything. We had a great time!

Comfortable house

Great location and space

This property looked like the pictures. It was clean and well equipped for our weekend stay. We could easily prepare meals, and we used the front deck to relax. It is in quiet location and short driving distance to Donner Lake, grocery stores, and the main street of Truckee. There are a lot of instructions to follow, so be sure to review everything prior to your arrival. Owner was responsive to questions.

Nice rental for weekend family wedding in Tahoe.

House was clean and as described. Great location, beautiful area, and plenty of space for our group (6 adults). Beds could be more comfortable with a foam topper and cushion seat support on couch. Keep a lookout for communication from owner’s personal email, texts, and VRBO messages with details and rental info. Owner quick to respond with any questions. We enjoyed our stay and the gorgeous weather in July in the mountains.

Truckee Cabin

My wife and I stayed here for two weeks with my sister, who lives in Carson City. We loved the cabin and found everything to be just fine. No complaints whatsoever and we would stay here again. Recommend it highly.

We are an active family who loves coming to our Tahoe house. Sometimes we come up to take advantage of all the great recreational offerings in the Tahoe area. Other times I come up with girlfriends and we simply relax and take a break from our busy Silicon Valley lives.

Varför vÀrden valde detta boende

We bought this property before we had children. We skied 2-3 times a month and knew we wanted a place of our own. Our family now comes often to enjoy both winter and summer activities.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

Situated among the beautiful pine trees, we back up to an evergreen belt/national forest ensuring privacy. The house is well designed for either families or couples, with a great room suitable for children or entertaining. We also like the flat driveway during winter time, making it easy to get in and out.
