I'm John, and I love traveling! When my family and I experience an incredible vacation stay, we remember it forever!

I take that same feeling and pass it on to our guests. I want every stay to be memorable where travelers make exciting memories to look back on.

My goal is to make sure that every one of our guests has an experience that inspires them to make our property a lifelong ritual and share it with all their friends.

In 2024 I decided to make my role as a host a full time gig and now I have my own company, California Stays.

I grew up in the Sierra Foothills and love the culture, the historic buildings and sites, great food and fresh air.

Our surrounding neighborhood is quiet, full of nature and just right for a private getaway.

Just 15 minutes away is the town of Grass Valley which is such a magical place. The restaurant scene and overall layout of Main Street is the perfect setting no matter the time of year. Whether you're looking for a bite to eat, an educational stroll through a Gold Rush town, or you just want to feel like you've gone back in time 150 years, but without all the struggles of that time, then downtown Grass Valley is the place for you.

You can find any type of cuisine and know that your taste buds will be impressed and the people are so nice. Grass Valley still retains it's small town vibe and welcomes travelers with open arms.

Our property truly is "away from it all" but not too far out of the way.

We have a creek running through the backyard and wildlife all around.

With a hot tub, sauna, cold plunge and pool in the warmer months, this is the perfect place to get away from it all and get that much needed rejuvenation you've been waiting for,

The inside of the home is completely renovated and has a very eclectic vibe that lets you know the owner put thought into every detail of the home.

With a theater, wood burning fireplace, and large soaking tub, there's no shortage of things to keep you entertained.

The home is equipped with enough solar panels to run the home completely off the grid when the sun is shining which may be really important for anyone trying to be more conscious of their footprint in life.
