Make yourself at home in this charming, quintessential cabin nestled in the woods just 4 miles from historic Talkeetna. If you’re looking for solitude or inspiration, you’ll find it in the 5-acre parcel worthy of exploring. If you’re looking for entertainment, dining, and an artist mecca, head into town. The kitchen is well-equipped, the water is hot, and there's wood for indoor or outdoor fires. No matter the time of year, this cabin will feel like home.
This spacious loft-style cabin includes a king-size bed upstairs, a comfy couch on the main floor, and a queen-size air mattress that sits off the ground. You’ll find a work area upstairs and a door that opens up to the large, sun-drenched balcony. The hosts’ foodie passions are evident in the available array of coffee, teas, spices, kitchen essentials, and the gas grill.
You will have access to the entire cabin except for some locked cabinets & drawers, a gas grill, two-bikes and a hammock. It was important to us to provide the quality and various amenities that we would like in a vacation home and hope you appreciate the unique touches we've come to love and expect.
We may be open to pets and long-term accommodations, so don’t hesitate to ask. Camping may be permitted with advanced notice. Use of the wood-burning stove is limited to people familiar with using one. Local fire ban levels must be checked before lighting a fire in the outdoor pit.

Jenny är värd
My husband & I love to travel and “Not all who wander are lost" is our motto! Jenny was born and raised in Hawaii; John was born and raised in Alaska. The two met in Denali at a bonfire of a mutual friend and the rest was history. We enjoy cooking and making as many ingredients as possible from scratch. John is an aspiring writer, while Jenny is an HR Executive for a hospitality organization. Our home in Talkeetna is special and we love hearing how much our guests find it as charming and idyllic as we do! We are Super Hosts on another platform and this is our 2nd home we've ever short-term rented.
Varför värden valde detta boende
Jenny was immediately drawn to Talkeetna and first stepped into the cabin in 2014 while visiting her friend. She had an immediate connection and told her friend she'd buy it if it ever was an option. Fast forward 6 years and Jenny purchased the home from her friend and moved during the pandemic.
Vad som gör detta boende unikt
With 5 acres, this property feels like you're in a little slice of perfection. The cabin is warm, inviting, and gives a charm and energy that is indescribable. The views from every angle of the property, including the upstairs balcony, invokes a sense of utter tranquility. You feel so far (and to most, you are) but so close to town. It's central to Talkeetna and the main thoroughfare and really is just the perfect location. We know you'll love it.
