The space
Welcome to The Mountain House, the perfect getaway for families and friends with kids! Our spacious 4-bedroom home offers all the amenities you need for a fantastic relaxing fun filled time together.
Inside, you'll find 4 comfortable bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The master bedroom downstairs leads out to a private deck and the relaxing private pagoda hot tub area. Upstairs, bedroom 2 features two queen beds, while bedroom 3 has a queen bed and its own private deck with a hammock for sunset views and stargazing. Bedroom 4 is perfect for families or children, with a bunk bed and an adult-sized trundle bed.
We prioritize your comfort with high-quality linens, pillows, and towels. Stay connected with free high-speed WiFi and enjoy your favorite shows on streaming platforms through the Amazon Fire Stick. For remote work needs, we have multiple dedicated workspaces with desks, office chairs and a large monitor.
Cool off even on hot days with our powerful evap cooler that keeps the whole house comfortable. Additional amenities include laundry facilities, a stainless-steel BBQ grill, and a fully equipped kitchen stocked with essentials like salt, pepper, and olive oil.
Outside, soak up the peaceful atmosphere while lounging on our full-size swinging bed on the front deck, surrounded by trees, hummingbirds, and deer. Kids will have a blast with the play structure, trampoline, and a wide-open 1/3-acre space to explore. We've made sure to provide toys, games, a portable crib, and a high chair for the little ones.
When it's time for outdoor adventures, we've got you covered with beach chairs, towels, and flotation devices for your lake excursions.

Hi! Weâre Tracey, Roy, and our two teenage girls, and weâre so happy to welcome you to our Pine Mountain Lake home. Our daughters have grown up spending summers and holidays here, so we truly understand the joy of family fun time in the mountains. Iâm originally from Ireland, and Roy is a born-and-raised Californian, and together we've created this home as a peaceful, comfortable retreat for friends and families, people who value quality time, fresh air, and a home that's loved and well cared for.
Weâve been part of the Pine Mountain Lake community for decades, and although we live about 3.5 hours away, we come up often between stays to personally maintain the house and make sure everything is just right. Weâre always just a call or message away if you need anything, and in case of emergencies, we have a great network of kind neighbors and trusted local professionals who can step in quickly.
During the summer, weâre often nearby and sometimes even available to greet you in person at check-in or check-out. If you're arriving late or when we're not around, no problem. Your unique front door code will be sent once your reservation is confirmed so that you can let yourself in anytime.
We genuinely want your stay to be relaxing and memorable. We care deeply about this home and the Pine Mountain Lake community, and we love welcoming guests who will enjoy and respect it as much as we do.

We fell in love with Pine Mountain Lake because it offers the perfect mix of relaxation, adventure, and natural beauty. After unwinding on the swinging bed or soaking in the hot tub, there's so much to explore. Our girls grew up enjoying the many playgrounds, the 18-hole championship golf course, tennis courts, pool, and the private lake with three sandy beachesâperfect for kayaking, paddleboarding, and swimming.
Surrounded by forest trails, rivers, and wildlife like deer, quail, and squirrels, it truly feels like a serene escape in the Sierra. We're just 33 miles from Yosemite, making it the ideal home base for hiking, whitewater rafting, and day trips into the park.
We love how peaceful and family-friendly this community is, and weâre excited to share it with guests who want a mix of fun, nature, and relaxation.
Pine Mountain Lake is a peaceful, remote mountain community, and occasionally there may be temporary outages of power, internet, or other utilitiesâespecially if PG&E shuts off power during high fire danger. These events are out of our control, and weâre unable to provide compensation for any such interruptions.
We do, however, provide flashlights, lanterns, and games to make things more comfortableâand of course, there's always the beauty of nature to enjoy while things get sorted. Thanks for your understanding!
