FBI - Franklin Battlefield Inn (Franklin centrum, TN!)

Franklin Battlefield Inn är ett vackert historiskt folk-viktorianskt hembyggt c. 1902, men med alla moderna lyx för 2000-talets resenär ... inklusive tre sovrum, två badrum med gränslöst varmt vatten som tillhandahålls av en tanklös varmvattenberedare, ett fullt utrustat kök med bänkskivor i granit, ryggstänk, en gasspis , ugn, diskmaskin, kylskåp och ismaskin, tvättmaskin och torktumlare, en ventilationsfri eldstad med eldstad, fyra platt-TV med direkt-TV, DVR (över 700 kanaler!), en blå-ray DVD-spelare och mer.

Franklin Battlefield Inn (alias ”F. B.I.”) är centralt beläget i historiska centrum av Franklin! Om du är här för att besöka småstaden nummer ett i TN (enligt Southern Living), kommer du att stanna här på FBI! Gå till Franklins blomstrande Main Street, restauranger, livsmedel, shopping, parker, museer och mer. Och om du är här för att besöka Nashville, är Franklin Battlefield Inn bara ett hopp, hopp och ett hopp från Music City USA (bara 25 minuters bilresa).

Vår länshistoriker kallade detta familjhem "Franklin Battlefield Inn" eftersom huset ligger på marken noll i slaget vid Franklin. Det hävdas att slaget vid Franklin var det blodigaste slaget under inbördeskriget, och detta hus ligger i centrum där slaget utkämpades! Carter House and Museum är bara två kvarter norrut.

Efter inbördeskriget, Samuel P. Redford köpte mark av Carter-familjen och byggde flera hus med trä från hans virkesbruk. Mellan 1899 och 1902 byggde Sam Redford detta hem med den finaste röda eken från sin fabrik. Sedan dess har fem generationer av Redfords bott här (och ett par dog här, men hon säger inte barnen att det finns spöken). Vi har hört historier om hur våra förfäder brukade gå ombord på gäster i detta hem. Vi hoppas få tillbaka denna tradition av gästfrihet genom att välkomna dig att bo på FBI.

Med en underbar inhägnad bakgård, rymlig däck och krabba fruktträdgårdssten ö med eldstad, är Franklin Battlefield Inn en utmärkt plats för evenemang som fester, te, cookouts, återföreningar eller bröllop. Lovely property

We spent four nights. Beautifully maintained historic home with modern conveniences. Wonderful neighborhood in Franklin. Especially enjoyed the hall tree and antiques.

A perfectly refreshing stay

Everything was exactly as described with the check-in process. This is a lovely home and it was clear that the owner had gone to a lot of effort to think of every detail. It was a quiet and relaxing time for us to catch-up. If you are considering staying at this property, you will not be disappointed. Thank you so much for allowing us to share this home for a few days. It was wonderful!

Best rental experience we have ever had!

Our family of 4 rented this property in order to have more space while visiting family over Thanksgiving. It was definitely a home away from home and very well appointed. We utilized the grill and enjoyed dinner at the home. Our teenage musician enjoyed having the piano to play, and the young reader we have was thrilled with the selection of books. The best part was we were able to walk everywhere we needed to go. We are definitely planning a return visit.

Gorgeous Home in Downtown Franklin

Wow!! This house is amazing! If you are looking for a place to stay in Franklin, you can end your search now. I promise that you won't be disappointed! The owners are extremely nice and go out of their way to make you feel at home. Very spacious, beautifully decorated, extremely comfortable and immaculately clean! Great outdoor areas including a rocking chair front porch, a deck with table and chairs, and a beautiful backyard with a fire pit and swing. All of the shops and restaurants are just a short walk away. Wonderful rental!

The best of Christmas celebrations

Four days of total enjoyment! The home has a feeling of history and warmth. Easy to walk to Franklin center and enjoy the community. The fenced backyard is perfect for animals and the use of the fire pit was used for a family Christmas Eve. We are from the west coast and will stay here on a return trip.

Great house!

The FBI was a beautiful house. It was very fresh & clean. Plenty of sleeping space & the beds were very comfortable. Bathrooms were updated & very nice. A great neighborhood. Walking to Main Street was a little challenge for my mom & her friend but we managed. I would highly recommend it.

Very pleasant

Really nice place, used most of the rooms, the deck and the yard/fire pit. Nice walk into Franklin too! Don’t always need this much room when I visit but when I do I’ll definitely be back.

Weekend Getaway

We recently stayed at the FBI with some friends for a weekend getaway and had a wonderful time. The home was absolutely darling and incredibly clean. We loved sitting out by the fire pit and being able to work to brunch/dinner. Mary Ellen was a wonderful host and very responsive to any messages I sent.

Perfect place to stay in Franklin TN

Historically beautiful home in downtown Franklin TN area. Could walk to most of Franklin shops and restaurants. Great host, always available and very helpful. Home had everything we needed. Charming…will stay again another time.

Dream Come True

Staying a the Franklin Battlefield Inn could not have been more perfect. The historic house with the turn of the century furnishings was like stepping into a different time EXCEPT the modern kitchen. The location was ideal to historic Franklin Sites. It was the best and Mary Ellen (host) was wonderful.

Girlfriends Getaway

After driving 400 miles ( with 350 seemingly under construction) we arrived to an oasis of cool gentility. The house is furnished in gorgeous, functional antiques with splurges of upscale convenience (marble countertops, glassed walk-in shower, fabulous bedding, hotel-style robes, bedside candies). The ambiance extends to the outdoors with a fire pit, swing, party lights, and patio seating. Great shopping is a very short drive or easy walk away. Our hostess was easy to reach and quick to reply. If I ever have an opportunity to visit the Franklin/Nashville area again, the FBI is the only place I will consider staying.

Franklin Battlefield Inn

Property exceeded all of our expectations. Excellent location close to battlefield sites and Franklin restaurants and shops. House was spotless and well stocked. Beds were very comfy and our dogs loved the fenced in back yard. FBI in Franklin will become one of our regular destinations going forward.

Mary Ellen Redford är värd

Although, born raised and educated in Nashville, Mary Ellen married Clyde Redford of Franklin in 1969. He and his father grew up in this house, which was built by Clyde's grandfather in 1902.
Mary Ellen lives south of Leiper's Fork, about a 25 minute drive from the FBI.

This property has been passed down from one generation to the next. Sam Redford built this home and others in Franklin between 1899 and 1902 having purchased the land from what had been part of the Carter plantation. This home holds great sentimental value for the Redford family, so much so that when the 5th generation, Emily Redford, moved out, we decided to restore it, preserve it, keep it in the family for future generations and share it with others. Today we are offering our family home for travelers seeking comfort, luxury and ambiance in their travel accommodations.

Staying at the Franklin Battlefield Inn is a step back into time, a slower, gentler time of charm and grace. Built only 38 years after the Civil War, this property was on the battlefield. History abounds. Visit the Historic Carter House and Carnton Mansion. Perhaps a ghost tour would appeal to you.
The back deck and back yard with a fire pit offer visitors the opportunity to sit back, relax and enjoy their time together. We think you will feel the love that has gone into restoring the old and creating the new aspects of this home. It is not a Victorian Museum, but rather a charming and comfortable place to make new memories.
