Susan was an excellent host. Everything was appointed beautifully. Susan greeted us and showed us the cottage upon arrival. It was in walking distance of the main square of Franklin, so optimally located. We couldn’t have asked for a better location. Thank you for a great stay!

Wonderful, Cozy Getaway

This place was in a wonderful location. Just one block away from the downtown square. The rental house was so roomy, cozy and beautifully decorated. The host was very friendly and gave us some restaurant recommendations. Would definitely recommend this place!

Franklin - walk to Downtown

Fantastic location and livable space. Kitchen stocked with supplies for meals. Plenty of parking off street and would definitely stay here again. Good water pressure too!

Pleasant Stay and Great Location

All around great visit - charming location and perfect for short stay in Franklin. We enjoyed location - easy walks with the dogs, a short walk to The Coffee House which we enjoyed each day. Would highly recommend as quiet location one block from Main Street.

Franklin fun!

We really enjoyed our stay at this cozy cottage, within walking distance to all of the great restaurants and shops. Our host was so sweet and gave us helpful pointers to navigate town.

Fall visit

This was the perfect spot for our visit to Franklin. The cottage is cozy and had everything we needed. Check-in was convenient. A very short walk to downtown restaurants and stores and an easy drive to Nashville.

Perfect cottage and Location to downtown Franklin

Susan is a great host. She met us at the cottage when we arrived to show us around. Her place looks small on the outside, but had plenty of space for our two dogs and us. The location is right near downtown and we walked everywhere. Lots of coffee places and restaurants nearby. We had so many options and didn’t get to try them all! Would definitely stay here again.

Lovely Cottage

Wonderful cottage within walking distance of Franklin historic district and parks. We totally enjoyed this property, the host was proactive in communication. We will stay there anytime we plan to come back to Franklin.

Wonderful Cottage

Wanted a place near my niece's wedding venue, and got more than we expected! Was able to walk through the historic district, saw a parade and got to eat wonderful meals and/or shop. Lovely cottage within walking distance of Franklin, TN!

Darling little cottage

Such a welcoming and sweet home away from home. Comfortable king size bed, 2 bathrooms which was so convenient. Wonderful kitchen and family room. Just so cozy. Very convenient to all the shops in downtown Franklin. The owner is a doll and so friendly. We will definitely be staying here again!

Adorable Cottage Getaway

I scheduled a weekend trip with my boyfriend, and wanted a close downtown property with easy access to shops and dining. However, we didn’t anticipate enjoying most of our time at the cottage cuddled up and making s’mores using the wood burning fireplace! It was definitely the restful weekend we were hoping for and hope to return soon!

Cute neighborhood; house needs work

Overall our stay was sufficient for what we needed. The cottage was in a nice neighborhood, walking distance from food and shopping. It was quiet at night, away from city noise. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen had the normal amenities. The house needs some updating including routine maintenance and more deep cleaning. We had several mishaps that were inconvenient, one late at night and the host had sent her phone directly to voicemail. Also, we were stuck in the house during a parade that went down the street in front of the house; we were not told about this until it was too late to move the car. I suggest checking out an events calendar or asking the host specifically if there is anything going on during your stay.

Our family loved Franklin, Tennessee before Garden and Gun Magazine named Franklin 'The Best Southern Town' or Southern Living Magazine ranked Franklin on their top 'Best Places List'. In fact, we have lived here for over 150 years, and my great great grandparents lived just a block away from our guesthouse during The Battle of Franklin! For generations we have known that Franklin was an extraordinary place, and we are proud to call it home!

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION is the most wonderful feature of
The Franklin Guest House! The guest house is within moments of Main Street. Our home is next door, and when my children were quite young; they were allowed to go to the shopping/dining area of Franklin by themselves. (Back then you could buy fried rice for 99 cents, plus Gray's Drugstore had penny candy!) Such a sweet place to raise a family! Even though stores have changed, the location is still the same.
