Just a little rustic for me!
If you like, waking up in the morning to the sound of a rooster at 3:30 AM, dogs barking at 5 AM and then fighting a little later, then this might be the rustic place for you to stay.
I personally do not enjoy, carrying my luggage up two flights of stairs by myself, nor do I enjoy a view from my room of mountains, old cars, and chicken coops. The room was clean enough, but if you wanted fresh towels, you had to catch the housekeeper in the hall. There was enough coffee for one night, and we had to catch the housekeeper to get coffee for the next day or two.
The pool on the top level is lovely. If you were really want to get wet. It is too small for swimming or diving. What does have a nice view to Sayulita. Space they do have a nice book exchange where guests can leave or take books.
The downhill walk to the town is not bad, it’s a trip back it’s about a 45° slope, so if you’re in good shape, it’s easy. If you are not in good shape, it’s really not very fun in the middle of the afternoon when it’s above 80° and humid.
My husband and I were enjoying a glass of wine in the plastic cups that we found downtown as there are only coffee cups provided in the room. I accidentally spilled my wine and had to use toilet paper to clean it up as there were no paper towels.
Apparently you were supposed to receive the key when you arrived for the front door, but we were only given a code, which you cannot see you to put in in the middle of the day.
The room was fine, but having only a sort of bench and an Adirondack chair, two chairs, and a table, there was no where to relax. We did have chairs on the deck, but it was not exactly a view of the water, even though we thought we paid for one.
The managers were very nice when you saw them, but we only saw them twice. We saw them when we arrived, and we saw them when we left.
I’m really quite amazed that I see so many five star reviews for this accommodation. With a few improvements it could be quite nice.
And I forgot to comment that we did not have water almost all of one day. For you who have not lived with a well that means you cannot flush the toilet, take a shower, brush your teeth or wash your face. They did let us know when they have the water back, but by then it was time for us to leave.
What I want to come here again. What do you think? I think not in my life!
