Detta två våningar hus ligger på en privat enhet, nära centrum men ändå utanför huvudvägen. Den har tre sovrum och två fulla bad, en stor täckt veranda med badtunna som tillval. En gräsig tyst gård med eldstad för utomhusavkoppling. Ett stora rum med första våningen med granit spis ger ett rymligt område för sammankomster. Franska dörrar leder ut på den täckta verandan för utomhusaktiviteter och avkoppling på sommardagarna. På första våningen finns ett komplett badrum med duschkabin. På andra våningen finns tre sovrum som ger plats för sju personer, samt ett badrum och tvättmöjligheter. Behöver du plats för upp till två till? Extra personalternativ tillgängligt. Det gemensamma området på första våningen har en bäddsoffa för två skum.
En snabb fem minuters promenad låter dig gå ombord på Island Explorer bussystem för att underlätta att resa till Bar Harbor och Acadia National Park.
Tillgång till Southwest Harbour vandringsleder och Echo Lake sandstrand kan nås med cykeltur, vandring eller kort bilresa.

Roomy and Comfortable

The house had all the right amenities for a vacation - comfortable beds, a large dining table, plenty of games, spacious outdoor area, a lovely hot tub, and a whitetail doe that visited us each morning. Perfect home base for exploring Acadia!

Peaceful visit

This was an amazing place. On the quiet side of Acadia but easy to get to the park. We saw deer every day and really enjoyed sitting outside every night. The beds were comfortable with outlets at every bedside; kitchen was easy to prepare meals, house was very clean. We loved every day here!

Great first visit to Acadia!

We loved staying at this house! House was very clean, stocked with all your needs. Beds were very comfortable, and the house has plenty of space to spread out. The outdoor area was quiet and relaxing and the hot tub was a huge hit after a day of hiking. The host was very quick to respond.

Family adventures in Maine

The home was lovely, nice big table for my family to gather. Also lots of seating in living room for us to sit and chat. Peaceful outdoor location. But easy access to sites of interest. My family enjoyed the hot tub after a day of hiking at Acadia National Park.

Cute home in the woods.

Stayed for a wedding nearby. This setting was wonderful, tucked in the Maine forest. The deer were in the forest around us on many occasions. The house is very open and roomy with a cabin vibe: large granite fireplace, lovely antique furnishings. The bedrooms are large and the beds are comfortable . It met all our needs.

Great home

The home was large and spacious and very well stocked. The location was secluded and private with deer meandering around the lovely landscaped yard. Thom, the host was very accomamodating and responded to all questions. I would definitely recommend this property.

Lovely house in the Southeast Harbor

Stayed here for a weekend of climbing in Acadia and had a fantastic time. The house was great and well equipped and the hot tub was the best way to relax after a day on the rocks.

Great home base to explore Acadia

The home was clean and comfortable. There was plenty of space for my 2 college aged children, my husband and I to spread out. The kitchen was well stocked and the homeowner even left us a cooler when I had asked if there was one to use for picnics. We saw several deer in the yard and enjoyed bird song throughout the day. The location was great for getting around to everything we wanted to see.

Wonderful spot

Nice and quite. Deer passing through. Great hot tub and relaxing fire pit area. Nice rooms with comfy beds. Wonderful kitchen and the shower downstairs was the best. We enjoyed our stay.

We had an incredible stay in this beautiful home! Clean, comfortable, and full of amenities, including family games and puzzles! Loved being on the quieter side of MDI but still close enough to all desired attractions. Lovely outdoor space. Would love to return in the future!!

Southwest Harbor House

Nice roomy place. Met our needs. Family enjoyed it a lot. We had a fire one night and were treated with a doe and her fawn daily. It is a bit of a drive to Bar Harbor and park loop road but not bad. Found nice places to eat nearby. I'd recommend.

Great location!

Thom’s place was in a beautiful location that felt really secluded even though it was right near a main road. We even saw a deer in the driveway! We loved the spacious house and the hot tub. Several great hikes were just a few minutes away, and travel to Bar Harbor and into Acadia was easy. Thom was very quick to respond to any questions we had.

Secluded but close to everything

The property and house were exactly like we were looking for and the perfect location! Everything looked exactly as pictured and described. We did have deer in the yard a few times early in the morning and later at night (and even a skunk)! At the end of the day we wanted to be away from all the crowds. We spent 5 days here, spent lots of time in Acadia and even traveled up to Cutler and Lubec for a day trip (just a short 2 hour drive). Thom was very responsive and over all a great host. The hot tub had broken just before we arrived but he was on top of it. He was able to get someone out to the house to fix it prior to our stay ending.

A Gem of a place

The house was well appointed. The home was in a quit neighborhood but easy access to Bar Harbor, Acadia National Park and all that the area has to offer. By far one of the best places I have stayed in. Liked the layout of the main living area. Sleeping was comfortable.Communicationn was effortless. Owner replied very quickly with any questions. Checking in and out a breeze. Would definitely stay there again. Great for couples and families.

Looked like pictures

This was a great rental overall. We did have a lot of huge ants downstairs and some other bugs as well (no biting bugs). We were not a fan of the shower heads that only had a mist like quality. Other than that, we liked the homey feel and quiet atmosphere. All the beds we’re comfortable except the full size bed.
