Great for a family gathering

We appreciated the location of the property between Medford and the ocean. It was also located near another VRBO we were able to rent to help accommodate all of our family. Plenty to do with the redwoods, the beach, and antique shops, and restaurants all nearby. Pricing was reasonable too.

Crescent City vacation

The home was great but the heating was poor. The listing made it look like there was access to the river but the only access we found was down the road a ways. We enjoyed the location and peaceful surroundings.

Great river retreat

Douglas Park

This vacation rental is perfect! The location is superb. Located at the gateway of Douglas park it affords easy and quick access to all the sought after trails and river access points. The home is very spacious, private, clean and modern, our family and friends where more then pleased. This was our third visit, and we will definitely rent again in the near future.

Whitewater rafting base

We were able to park our raft trailer and the host was even nice enough to let us drop it off early. Very clean and spacious house at a great location for outdoor recreation.

Great location for exploring redwoods for a few days!

A great stay on the river!

We had a wonderful, relaxing week at the Hiouchi Hideaway. Many hours spent swimming in the river and relaxing in the comfortable, spacious home. We can’t wait to come back next year!

Great home in redwoods

Great big house. Very close to howland hill road. Perfect for base camp to go hiking and biking in that area. House is large with plenty of room for decent sized family. Well stocked with most everything you'll need. Pans and cooking utensils on the low end.

The host was kind and very helpful. The location is the perfect spot to have easy/close access to some amazing trails and see the beauty of The Redwoods along with the river! Price was within our budget which was wonderful and such a blessing to be able to have this experience!

Redwood getaway

The Hiouchi Hideway was superb! We enjoyed a fire in the backyard firepit each night. We had excursions to the beach and completed the Boy Scout Tree Trail. Michael was an excellent host and was always available. Great location, great property; we can't wait to stay here again.

Beautiful Home, Great Location

This Smith River Home is beautiful and in a great location. Very close to Jedidiah Smith SP and within walking distance to the Smith River. Home has everything you could need for your stay, was very clean and the hosts are excellent. If you are looking for a quiet place to stay with wildlife in the backyard, this is it. One of our favorite VRBOs out of hundreds. We will definitely return.
