Lily lake guest house

This property and it’s managers never let us down. It’s a great place to escape the rigors of everyday life and just relax. We love taking our dog up in the fall to see the leaves and enjoy the lakeside campfires. This property is a gem for those wishing to get off grid and escape contact, without leaving behind everyday luxuries.

Great getaway in a peaceful location

Just got back from a great couple of days at this amazing property. It has everything you need. Very clean and well put together. Kids had a blast using the included paddle boat, paddle board and kayak. Fire pits and stars at night. Within driving distance to Rickets Glen and Boulder Field which we enjoyed immensely. On-site property owners are very nice down to earth people. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

Perfect Fall Weekend

We stayed for 3 relaxing days with our dog at the cottage. The moment we entered the property and saw the view, our stress melted away. We enjoyed the peace and quiet and took advantage of the paddle boat. We also loved sitting by the fire or on the dock. The cottage is beautiful and well maintained, the details both in and out are superb. If you are looking for a relaxing vacation in a beautiful setting, book this cottage. We loved everything about it and hope to return.

Charm-filled serenity

We spent two lovely days in the cottage enjoying zero appointments, deadlines, commitments and crises. It was fantastic. The cottage is beautifully decorated and well-appointed to make your stay a breeze. We happened to be celebrating our 30th anniversary and enjoyed a special meal prepared and served just for us. It was a delicious and relaxing way to enjoy our evening. Thank you Sal and family for being such wonderful hosts.

Exceptional Get Away

This place was everything we were looking for an more!!! Took my husband and our 2 four legged children for a little birthday getaway, couldn't have been more perfect. So much so that I almost don't want to write about how fabulous it is so we can keep this hidden gem all to ourselves. Before we even entered the house my husband asked if we could stay longer. The view through the woodland to the lake was beautiful. The house was immaculate; cozy and amazing attention to details that I personally loved (soap stone, wrought iron, hardwood, etc). As it was a special birthday for my husband we also took advantage of the personal chef meal option, OMG!!! I wanted to take more pics of the food but it was so inciting and delicious that we kept stuffing our faces and would forget about some of the pics :). We can wait to come back. Thank you Deluca's!

Our six week stay was delightful - just what we were looking for to beat the Florida heat! The cottage is very well appointed, immaculate, and very livable. The host is closeby, very friendly and helpful, without being intrusive. The lake is lovely, and the walk down to the dock (though steep) is quite doable. Lots of trees, lovely landscaping and gardens. Enjoyed many birds! In a rural area - about 20 minues to shopping. Good restaurants about 10 minutes. We highly recommend!!

A little slice of paradise

This property was amazing and the location was perfect. It felt like the cabin had been restored by one of those HGTV shows. Attention to details to keep the authentic feel but ensuring modern conveniences were spot on. It felt incredibly comfortable and relaxing from the moment I pulled into the driveway. The owners really helped this feel like home and that they cared about your visit. Can't wait to go back again.

Lily Lake

The guest house at Lily Lake is beautiful. It is even better than the pictures show. It was wonderful to communicate with Sal and he was very quick with his responses. The house is directly on the lake with beautiful views of the lake. I highly recommend the Lily Lake guest house and my wife and I are looking forward to going again in the future.

Perfect lakeside retreat

Our family had an amazing experience at the Guest House at Lily Lake! From the minute we arrived we felt completely at home. The house and surrounding garden are beautiful and very well maintained and we were impressed by how clean everything was. Steps down the hill from the house is beautiful Lily Lake. We enjoyed the kayak, stand up paddle board, fishing from the dock, and playing with our dog at the nearby beach. There is also a peddle boat and a rowboat available for use as well as lots of life jackets and inflatable toys. At Sal’s recommendation we took a walk around the lake - a great opportunity for birding with eagle sightings! There was also a lot of hiking opportunities in the surrounding area and we spent a great morning hiking in Rickett’s Glen, which is 40 minutes away. We all agreed that this was the best hike we’ve taken in Pennsylvania! We highly recommend Sal and Elaine’s place for a a peaceful lakeside getaway! We hope to return in the future!

Peaceful getaway

Very clean, cozy cottage with nice view of the lake. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, though the stove in the kitchen needs to be shimmed up so that it is level rather than tilted forward.

Great place to disconnect and reconnect

The cabin was beautiful and very well maintained. Felt at home the minute we walked in. Loved kayaking on the lake and spending our nights by the fire. Was absolutely what we needed. What a great way to spend our 25th wedding anniversary!

This was such an amazing property and it turned out to be such a nice getaway for our family. Sal was so accommodating, and his recommendations for activities in the area were spot on. An escape from everything

A wonderful alternative to our usual resort/hotel stays. We spent 5 days in total tranquility. Amazing to "hear" silence. The cabin was excellent with everything we needed. Handwritten notes from the Owner made everything easy to find and operate. Owner was happy to give advance information on activities, restaurants etc. We would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to really get away and find peace and quiet. We will be visiting again.

Everything we hoped for.

My wife and I have been going to Maine on vacation but with the pandemic we were looking for somewhere in PA closer to home that would be quiet, private, well maintained, and pet friendly. This beautiful cottage on Lake Lily checked all the boxes and then some. The lake view was a bonus as we took advantage of the row boat and the scenic hiking trails, The house was very comfortable, updated, and clean. The owners and manager were friendly and accommodating. We will definitely keep it in mind for the future. Bernie R.

Beautiful Lake View and Location

My wife, dog, and I enjoyed our stay at this beautiful lakefront house. The place was very clean, nicely furnished, and situated with a gorgeous view of the state park side of the lake. We especially liked the enclosed back porch (please add a photo to your description) for coffee in the morning, and a glass of wine late day. We used the rowboat for fishing, and the kayak for cruising around the lake. We also spent time hiking here, and at Ricketts Glen State Park. We highly recommend this property, and look to return again in the future.

Spectacular

As soon as you walk in, you feel as if you're at a life long friend's house. Everything was immaculate, the furniture and decorations very tasteful and comfortable, the grounds gorgeous, the lake absolutely beautiful, and the owners could not have been nicer and more accommodating. I went there to celebrate my 65th birthday with a few friends and my dog, Walter, and we had a wonderful time. I did not go any farther than the hiking path, the fire pit and the lake, and that was exactly how I wanted it. As I was leaving, I was trying to come up with a definition of the owners, Elaine and Bob, and I would say "salt of the earth" people. I would have loved to have had more interaction with them, but because of the pandemic it was minimal, but lovely just the same. Thank you Elaine and Bob, I would be honored to be a regular guest of your guest house.

This beautiful house on Lily Lake has become my favorite getaway. Comfortable, private, beautiful, surrounded by nature--it's a welcome retreat from a busy world and, let's face it, stressful times. This is my third time staying here and I will continue to return over and over again.

Each generation has used it in its own way, but the place's natural beauty, fun, and relaxation have remained mostly unchanged through the years. For the last decade, we've decided to make it our full-time home and now would like others to have the opportunity to enjoy a little bit of what we've built our lives around.

The Lily Lake Guest House is on a parcel adjacent to our primary residence. As our family has grown, we use for get-togethers and holidays. It's far enough to offer our family and family a bit of seclusion, but close enough that we can easily spend time together.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

We've tried to create a place with many modern conveniences yet one that maintains the popular rustic cottage style of the 1920s. Guests can enjoy heated bathroom floors and Internet access but also bear witness to the passage of time with the simple stone-and-mortar foundation created of rock found on the property, the original yellow pine clapboard siding and Douglas Fir flooring, the open-air patio and screened porch, and the structure's simple yet functional layout.
