My daughter lives in Tampa Florida as we live in Dallas Texas. Sad it ended. Man thank yall for the experience. My family has never been to Florida/ a beach so I was able to cater them

Just needing a little TLC

Home was nice, but needed some minor repairs. Location was close to all beaches and attractions. Stove was hard to cook on. It didn't seem to be level and I couldn't read the knob on the front right. Condo could of used a good spring cleaning. King bed was creaky upstairs. Pool in the community needing a good cleaning also. It was supposed to bf a gated community but one of the gates was missing

Family Getaway

The house is in a great location and was convenient to everything in Destin. We had an issue with the Internet and the Sevice staff arrived within an hour of calling. That was impressive.

Needs some TLC

This house is fine but I would never book it again, especially for a beach vacation. First and foremost, the decor is not what you want in a beach location. It was more like staying in a monastery than a beach house. Very dark and gothic. Little things throughout that need attention, such as dead lightbulbs, non-functional ice maker, couldn’t connect to wifi, broken handle on fridge (which, according to reviews has been a problem since 2019), visible stains on bedding, no wastebaskets in bathrooms, a bed that made tons of noise when you moved even slightly (forget doing anything but sleep), very rickety bunk beds, no shelves in showers, NO HOT WATER (which also seems to be an ongoing problem). This was the biggest problem, as we were there for a funeral. Only two of the eight people in our group got hot water, and no one took over five minutes, as time was an issue. There was also an interesting smell that permeated every room and did not fade throughout the weekend. I realize that this is a rental so there will always be issues, but I was a little embarrassed to be the one who booked this place for my extended family. To RealJoy’s credit, they did respond to my message quickly but we weren’t there long enough to make it worth them coming out. Also, the ice maker, hot water and fridge handles seem to be ongoing and I shouldn’t have to contact them during our stay to handle things they clearly already know about. The pool was cool and very easy to access.

Nice house, clean. Good location with lots to do and easy to walk to beach. Pool is only negative as it seems its upkeep isnt 100% and theres 100 kids running around unattended.

Overall good property

We rented this house for a family vacation. The house was perfect size for all 8 of us. We loved that the master bedroom was downstairs so the kids had the whole upstairs to theirselves. The biggest issue we had was there was never enough hot water. We were able to get one shower before it ran out. We all took turns taking cold shower. The owner needs to upgrade the water heater to accommodate for this many guests. The other issue we had was the limited space on the public beach. It is small and crowded. You can rent beach chairs and an umbrella for $60 on the private beach next to it. We did opt to do this one day to give ourselves more space to spread out. The condo has a shuttle that will take you to and from the beach. Get there early if you want a good spot. The pool was fantastic and our kids loved it!

A good location for beach access

The unit was in a good location for access to the beach and shopping. The pool was great and hot tub was nice when you could get in it. It’s way undersized for the capacity of the complex. The unit was in need of some basic maintenance. This would’ve made the stay more enjoyable. The washer and dryer both broke during the stay. The washer was fixed but the dryer was not repairable. Laundry service was given at no cost. The lights had missing bulbs and the unit was very dark. The hot water was not adequate for 10 people. The toilets had flushing issues and no key for the mailbox where my package was delivered. Lots of little things where frustrating for the premium price we paid. I’m hoping for a conversation With the management to talk through the issues.

Coffee maker did not work. Hot water heater only gave five minutes of hot water in the shower, then it was FREEZING. Beach sand from prior guests in the tub.

Beautiful Home

The home was beautiful, and the personnel that were working on the property were very nice and personable. The only downside that I saw with this unit was the water heater did not last long at all, which was a shame because the walk in showers looked amazing, and the refrigerator took almost 3 days to freeze and ice pack for my cooler. Other than that the unit was absolutely amazing and the property was beautiful and kid friendly. We would definitely recommend these rentals to family and friends and will certainly be back.

Beach Getaway

The house is very comfortable and can easily accommodate 9 guests. We had a wonderful vacation with our adult children and their spouses and our grandchild. Very short walk to the beach.
