Kahana Reef

Quiet and relaxed setting directly along the ocean front. Respectful neighbors and remodeled condo made comfortable environment.

Great stay

Property was as advertised. Clean and efficient. Had to contact property management twice and they were immediately responsive via text. No air conditioning but with ocean winds wouldn’t have needed it.

Awesome Ocean View!

This is our second time staying in the Kahana area and we love it. There is a lot to do close by and there are some great beaches. This was our first time staying at Kahana Village and it is a great property. Right on the water and direct access to the beach. The pool is on the smaller side but was great to have right on the property. The view from our condo was great and we saw whales and turtles right from our balcony. Would definitely recommend to couples or solo travelers. Our condo was well furnished and has nice finishes as it was recently renovated

Maui April 3023 vacation

We love the Kahana Reef. The location is perfect and Unit 311 was quite nice. Fresh face-lift was very welcoming. Just a few recommendations to make the place more welcoming: - the kitchen had all the amenities needed; unfortunately, half the kitchen cabinets had owner locks on them so we had to keep our dry foods on the kitchen counter; - the bed sheets and towels were a bit greyed and worn (no kitchen towels, we had to request those); - the plastic covers on all the furniture was a bit unwelcoming, but we assume the owner probably doesn’t want their furniture scratched up - not much room in the closet because it was more than half full of boxes and storage items.

Pretty view but not for me

When booking my vacation the most important thing was ocean view. I did see that there was no AC and that other reviewers said they didn’t even notice it, that was not the case for us. It was so hot and uncomfortable it was almost unbearable in the apartment. There were 2 ceiling fans but I did not feel like they made a difference, when we asked the management team if there were any fans available for us to use they referred us to the ceiling fans, definitely not helpful. I bought a box fan from the store myself our second night because it was so hot. 2nd red flag was the roaches, this is a very nicely remodeled apartment and it looked really clean, we did however see several roaches in the kitchen… I was brought a can of roach spray from the rental company but that didn’t help how nervous I felt that we were going to bring some home with us in a suitcase. 3rd we were at the pool TONS of signage “No jumping, no splashing, no yelling” my son and I were doing a handstand contest he fake coughed like he was drowning (not loud at all) then a woman lectured him about pool etiquette and we ended up getting into a huge argument. Then after we were swimming quietly she tried to berate him AGAIN, definitely a terrible experience. A few nights later we were eating dinner on our lanai and could over hear kids at the pool around 7pm sure enough someone came out and yelled at them and their parents kind of got into it. If you want to be an adults only building just say that!

Aloha! We're truly sorry to hear about your experience during your recent stay at our vacation apartment. Your feedback is important to us, and we apologize for the inconvenience you encountered. Regarding the lack of air conditioning, we understand that it made your stay uncomfortable. We appreciate your patience, and we will review our listing to ensure we provide clearer information about the apartment's cooling options. Please note that we also have our service team that can assist you with this as well. The presence of roaches in a clean apartment is indeed disconcerting. We are taking this matter seriously and will work on a more robust pest control plan to prevent any future occurrences. Rest assured that your feedback will be used to improve our service for all our guests. We appreciate your patience and hope you will consider giving us another opportunity to provide a more pleasant stay in the future. Mahalo nui Loa - RR
