Var vår gäst! Sandy Shores har varit i Hall-familjen i över 60 år och ägs och drivs för närvarande av Myrtle Hall. Myrtle är tyskfödd och flyttade till Indian Rocks Beach år 2000 när hon gifte sig med sin avlidne make, Ned. Neds mormor köpte fastigheten Indian Rocks Beach 1946. Neds far George Hall byggde den första tvåvåningshus 1952. Den en-berättade Gulf Cottage följde 1972. Neds familj bodde här på vintern och tillbringade sommaren i Ithaca, NY, där hans far var golfcoach på Cornell University i över 40 år. Ned följde i sina fotspår som PGA Teaching Professional i över 25 år. Han undervisade på Clearwater Golf Club i Clearwater, Florida när Myrtle, Florida på semester från Tyskland, träffade honom 1998. Myrtle och Ned hade naturligtvis sitt bröllop precis framför vackra Sandy Shores!

Liksom Ned blev Myrtle kär i denna vackra egendom och dess rika familjehistoria. Ned och Myrtle började hyra ut sina stugor 2005 efter en fullständig försköning och åtnjöt varje minut av att dela denna härliga egendom med sina gäster. Myrtle fortsätter Hall-familjens tradition av gästfrihet vid Sandy Shores och lägger till sitt speciella varumärke av tysk värme. Hennes uppmärksamhet på detaljer och renlighet gör Sandy Shores till en unik och charmig reträtt.

Beautiful location and neighborhood.

The property sits right on the beach with restauraunts and shops within walking distance. There is a flower garden with lots of seating and shade if the beach is too hot or you've gotten too much sun. The cottage was emaculate with a very nice kitchen area and very comfortable bed. There were lots of beach amenities to utilize and a very nice laundry facility to use if needed. Mrytle was a very welcoming host and was easily available had any problems occurred (which did not). My adult daughter and i went for a relaxing getaway and it was perfect!

Great location!

We had a wonderful stay! Myrtle was very accommodating and the space she has created is wonderful!! Walking distance to several restaurants and general goods. The beach is right there and the sunsets were the highlight of the trip!

Home comfort in Indian Rocks Beach

As a four time repeat guest at Sandy Shores, the high expectation for warmth and comfort that Myrtle has set for her place was once again met. The location, the beach, the cleanliness and especially the wonderful host have always made our stays comfortable and memorable.

Perfect stay

This was our second stay at Sandy Shores and it did not disappoint. The rooms are sparkling clean, tastefully decorated and fully stocked. The beautiful grounds, great location and an exceptional hostess make this a special place. A true gem!

Hidden Gem!

Sandy Shores is a fantastic place to relax and getaway. The units are clean and updated, the Property was gorgeous from the gardens to the beach, and Myrtle was an incredibly kind and helpful host. I'll be coming back at some point for sure to experience once again the old school Florida Beach cottage charm!

Worth every second

It was our second time staying at Sandy Shores. It was relaxing to say the least. The location is perfect and picturesque. This rental is worth your time, funds, and efforts. Memories will be made at this beach house.

On the beach

Very clean property, on-site owner. Beach chairs provided, on beach property. Three units available, one directly faces beach. Lot of shade due to beautiful trees and garden a nice respite from the sun.

So Comfortable and Cozy!

Myrtle is a complete delight! She met us when we arrived and showed us around. We brought 2 teenage boys with us who fished the entire day/night and enjoyed being so close to the beach. My husband and I really enjoyed the gardens and how clean everything was! There are great restaurants nearby and at the end of the day, we slept GREAT in the most comfortable bed!

Delightful

This was a delightful experience . We were in cottage one which does not have beach view, however, the gardens and sitting areas provide a sought after view of the water. Next time would love the cottage which enjoys a beach/ water view. There was ample shade around the property too which allowed respite from the heat of the day. We would definitely come again .

Breathtaking

The host was thorough showing us the property and everything she had to offer us. The cottage and garden was amazing. Cottage was very clean nice homie feel. Garden was absolutely beautiful. A true gem!

Imagine reading your book, eating your meals, even napping with the soothing sound of waves. The beach is steps away through powdery white sand. Every evening features a beautiful sunset. Myrtle has created a beautiful garden with private pockets for relaxing. She has also thought of every need down to beach towels and an umbrella. Staying with her was like visiting a relative, comfortable and homey. This place checked everything on my list. I wanted small, quiet, shady with beach access without crossing a road. I was also drawn to the 1950’s v-groove paneling because it reminds me of my grandparents home. If you are interested in a more modern interior, you should book the gulf view cottage.

Wonderful accommodations on a beautiful beach!

All of the rave reviews are accurate! Sandy Shores was the perfect spot for our 4 day getaway! Myrtle has thought of everything. The Garden Cottage was spotlessly clean and extremely well equipped. As a light sleeper, I was concerned about the fact that the Garden Cottage faces Gulf Blvd, but was happy to find that with the AC running, I was not at all bothered by traffic noise. The gardens are beautiful and the beach is absolutely gorgeous, clean, and literally a 10 second walk down the beautiful garden path from the Garden Cottage. Myrtle was extremely accommodating and easy to reach by phone or text, and provides anything you can possibly need. There are several good restaurants within walking distance and other restaurants and shopping within a short drive. We will be back!!

Sandy Shores has been in my late husband, Ned's, family for over 60 years. Ned's Grandmother bought it in 1946 and his Father built the first two-story building in 1952 and the Gulf Cottage followed in 1972.
I live onsite so I am available during your stay. I've also worked for 12 years in a local bank. One of the things my guests repeatedly tell me, is that they can see my love for Sandy Shores in the cleanliness and beauty of the property. I take pride in knowing my attention to detail ensures my guests have the most comfortable stay. And, for my German visitors, I enjoy speaking German to help you feel at home.

We started to rent out our cottages in 2005 after a total beautification and enjoying ever since every minute of sharing this lovely property with all our guests.
