Var vår gäst! Sandy Shores har varit i Hall-familjen i över 60 år och ägs och drivs för närvarande av Myrtle Hall. Myrtle är tyskfödd och flyttade till Indian Rocks Beach år 2000 när hon gifte sig med sin avlidne make, Ned. Neds mormor köpte fastigheten Indian Rocks Beach 1946. Neds far George Hall byggde den första tvåvåningshus 1952. Den en-berättade Gulf Cottage följde 1972. Neds familj bodde här på vintern och tillbringade sommaren i Ithaca, NY, där hans far var golfcoach på Cornell University i över 40 år. Ned följde i sina fotspår som PGA Teaching Professional i över 25 år. Han undervisade på Clearwater Golf Club i Clearwater, Florida när Myrtle, Florida på semester från Tyskland, träffade honom 1998. Myrtle och Ned hade naturligtvis sitt bröllop precis framför vackra Sandy Shores!

Liksom Ned blev Myrtle kär i denna vackra egendom och dess rika familjehistoria. Ned och Myrtle började hyra ut sina stugor 2005 efter en fullständig försköning och åtnjöt varje minut av att dela denna härliga egendom med sina gäster. Myrtle fortsätter Hall-familjens tradition av gästfrihet vid Sandy Shores och lägger till sitt speciella varumärke av tysk värme. Hennes uppmärksamhet på detaljer och renlighet gör Sandy Shores till en unik och charmig reträtt.

What a comfortable, relaxing beach cottage! Myrtle, the owner personally welcomed us to her beautiful property right on the beach. It was clean, well stocked and just as advertised. We look forward to staying there again!

The property was very well kept and Myrtle was an excellent host. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The only issue we had was that we weren’t able to stay longer and had to go back home to go to work lol.

Beautiful location and neighborhood.

The property sits right on the beach with restauraunts and shops within walking distance. There is a flower garden with lots of seating and shade if the beach is too hot or you've gotten too much sun. The cottage was emaculate with a very nice kitchen area and very comfortable bed. There were lots of beach amenities to utilize and a very nice laundry facility to use if needed. Mrytle was a very welcoming host and was easily available had any problems occurred (which did not). My adult daughter and i went for a relaxing getaway and it was perfect!

IRB spring break

This property was so cute and well- kept. It was spotless and provided everything. The owner was on-site and very helpful and accommodating. The cottage is in a great spot right on the beach, and close to restaurants and shops. Our fellow tenants were so friendly and pleasant, as well! We enjoyed our relaxing vacay very much!

2 weeks in paradise

Beautiful property! Gardens, multiple seating areas and access to beach were excellent as was the access to restaurants. Only drawbacks were the small bathroom and noisy air conditioning unit.

Beautiful Sandy Shores

With great anticipation, we made our way to Indian Rocks Beach for the first time and fell in love with beautiful Sandy Shores. The garden cottage is homey and comfortable and well-supplied with everything imaginable. We enjoyed the beauty and peacefulness of Myrtle's gardens with all the special outdoor seating areas. The convenient location of Sandy Shores makes it easy to walk to many good places to eat. The amazing proximity to the dazzling Gulf waters and beach was pure joy. We look forward to returning again and would highly recommend it to friends.

Paradise!

What a wonderful property! Perfect for staying at while celebrating my friend’s 50th birthday. Definitely an old Florida feel and atmosphere. Myrtle has thought of everything and keeps it all in tip top shape. Especially loved the lounge chairs that could be taken to the beach! Can’t wait to come back with my husband.

Old Florida and great location

Great location for Beach, restaurants and supplies. Very Clean and what we expected based on the research. We had a miscommunication on our check in but was our fault. Myrtle was always making sure the property was maintained and did her best to communicate with us. Having beach supplies was a bonus. Only amenity we would have appreciated was a covered area for mostly rain. There are beautiful tropical areas that help with sun, but no covered outdoor areas for the daily rain showers.

Sometimes “Quaint” Just Means “Old”

The VRBO app presents this as a beautiful vintage cottage right on the beach. In actuality it is a very small, rustic, non-renovated, smelly place. Major Cons: 1. Although it was supposed to be a non-smoking cabin, it reeked of very old tobacco smoke that just couldn’t be removed and it permeated our clothes. 2.No dishwasher, or ice maker. 3. The bathroom was so small one could barely turn around in it. 4. The TV had no written instructions and the owner did not know how to make the streaming services work either. 5. The washer and dryer were not in the cabin but in a separate building and it cost $4 per load. 6. The cabin was technically beach-front, but there was no view of it from the cabin and it was a significant hike to the beach. Major Pros: None that I can think of. We won’t be back.

Sandy Shores

Our family enjoyed the stay at the garden cottage. The room was clean, welcoming, and well decorated. Myrtle met us and gave us a tour during our check-in. The property is located on the beach with walking distance to many restaurants and bars. The property has a wonderful and beautiful garden to relax. We highly recommend this place.

Myrtle’s place was perfect for our little family vacation. Such a beautiful place and a very central location, with plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Sandy Shores has been in my late husband, Ned's, family for over 60 years. Ned's Grandmother bought it in 1946 and his Father built the first two-story building in 1952 and the Gulf Cottage followed in 1972.
I live onsite so I am available during your stay. I've also worked for 12 years in a local bank. One of the things my guests repeatedly tell me, is that they can see my love for Sandy Shores in the cleanliness and beauty of the property. I take pride in knowing my attention to detail ensures my guests have the most comfortable stay. And, for my German visitors, I enjoy speaking German to help you feel at home.

We started to rent out our cottages in 2005 after a total beautification and enjoying ever since every minute of sharing this lovely property with all our guests.
