Grandkids' Trip

We had a great stay with plenty of room for everyone. Took our grandkids and our daughter. The cabin is very close to activities, but surprisingly quiet.

Beautiful cabin & great location!

Great location. Easy access to Smoky Mt National Park. The cabin was close to Gatlinburg / walkable down the hill to nearby trolley stop, but enough away from the busy stores and tourist places to be relaxing. Beautiful cabin; 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms were plenty for 4 adults and 3 kids. We enjoyed playing pool and the hot tub. The owner was very helpful and responsive when we had questions. We would stay there again.

Peaceful Getaway

The cabin was beautiful! There was plenty of space for us to relax as a family of 5. Our family enjoyed the hot tub and all the space on the porch. There were plenty of rocking chairs for everyone!

Great location, incredible snow

We stayed during the winter. It snowed 5 inches during our stay. The host was very helpful and responsive about making sure we were okay. The roads were plowed by 8 am and we had no trouble getting out. You can see (and hear) the roller coaster from the porch. We had a great trip!

Great house!

We enjoyed our stay, did not lack for living needs. Inside and out the house was everything I expected. I do wish the Kudzu was eradicated (goats work!), but the views were still very nice!

Mountains and cabins and bears, oh, my!

Had a great time at Smoky Heights Overlook. The cabin was comfortable, clean, well-maintained and well-described in the listing. We weren't there very much (really only to sleep after a long day of play), but the living room was cozy, the bedrooms large, the beds comfy, and the bathrooms and HVAC functional and efficient. Really everything you could ask for. The porch and balcony have nice, if fairly limited, views of the mountains but that's to be expected "in the city." Speaking of, the location at the far north end of town was just about ideal. It was close enough that when we were feeling adventurous we could walk into town, but also easy to get to both Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge by car. We even had a visitor on our first morning - we woke up to find a black bear in the driveway checking out our car! We weren't fast enough to get our phones before he lumbered off, but the visit left an indelible impression on the group. Overall, nothing but positive things to say and would happily return which is the highest praise I can give.

Perfect Spot!

My husband and I stayed here with our 4 kids (6m, 6,7,9). It was our first family vacation in the mountains. The house had the perfect amount of space for us, the kids loved swinging by the fire pit, playing pool and walking around outside. The property was in a great location, so close to the main strip in Gatlinburg. The house was decorated very nicely, we had everything we could need in the kitchen, and it was clean. The property manager provided us all the info we needed to make our stay nice and easy. I would highly recommend this cabin and would definitely stay again!

Close to town, but not too close

Everything was clean and great communication. We cooked a couple meals and had the tools we needed. Kids enjoyed the pool table and games. Porch was a great place to hang out. Wasn’t close enough to town to walk there, but after we saw a bear on the road in we were happy to drive haha. No complaints, great place to stay.

Really enjoyed the location. Quiet neighborhood, but still has a nice view. It's about a 10 minute walk to the main street in Gatlinburg.

Great Short Little Vacay

The overall property was nice! Everything was well stocked and felt like home. However, the Dish Network never worked, only two of the 5 TVs could you actually watch Netflix on. The furniture is very uncomfortable as there is a piece of plywood holding up the couch cushions and the couches are held up on stilts. But again, for the short stay and not much time spent in the cabin, it worked out good. Really enjoyed it.

Thanksgiving getaway

We had a great time. Cabin was perfect but I would have to agree with another post about the living room furniture needs updating but loved the house. It accommodated 6 adults and 2 infants comfortably.

Location, Location, Location

The cabin sits just off the parkway in Gatlinburg, plus is located at beginning of Parkway (just as you come through the Great Smokey National Forest) so no fighting Gatlinburg pkwy traffic get to Pigeon Forge or Sevierville. Owner is very responsive to any and all messages.

We are a family of 3 with aspirations of retiring to the mountains and managing 3 to 5 properties after 2020.

In 2014, we decided to take over the daily management of the property and Janan took over booking and management. We've had a couple hiccups but overall the experience has been delightful for us. Our hope is that the cabin & your stay in this beautiful city is a lifelong memory.

We are committed to Gatlinburg, having purchased a second cabin in 2015. I told people I was doing a renovation on the 2nd property. Janan and my friends told people we are doing a full rebuild. Looking back on all we ended up doing, I'd say they are right. Check it out at VRBO Listing 658902. In addition to sleeping more people and more mountain views it is in a golf course community and has 2 pools for the kids.

In May 2018 we added a Condo to our offerings. Its now Nov 2019 and we have completed 4 planned phase upgrades. These renovations have been done in stages and include everything from expanding kitchen, to upgrading appliances, electrical, and TVs, to adding sound abatement to the ceilings.

This property is a 2 bedroom/ 2 bath that sleeps 6 (sofa bed). Located in Cobbly Nob the views are amazing. This is part of the Deer Ridge Resort so offers indoor pool, tennis court, and even lounge access Th-Sun. You can check it out at VRBO Listing 1329268

Varför värden valde detta boende

We bought the property in December 2009 after a visit to Gatlinburg. We stayed here while looking at numerous properties over a 5 day period and realized that the best value was indeed the cabin we had been staying in.
