OM OMRÅDET

Strax väster om Kings Beach och kör rakt längs sjön, är Tahoe Vista en favorit för utomhusentusiaster. För sjöälskare, kajakpaddling från en av flera dolda stränder eller en motoriserad utflykt från den nya Tahoe Vista Recreation Area båtlanseringen är två Tahoe Vista-behandlar. För landsklubbar, ligger den närliggande regionalparken året runt spårhuvuden för mountainbike, snöskor och längdskidåkning, en disk golfbana, naturstigar och söta swing set.

På vintern är du mindre än femton minuter från Northstar California. Där kan du njuta av tillgång till nästan 100 spår och över 3000 skidhöjder, oklanderlig grooming, otrolig trädskidåkning och tillräckligt utbud för att utmana alla skidåkare. Dra nytta av världsklass terrängparker, längdskidåkning, en äventyrspark för ungdomar och en 9000 kvadratfot isbana omgiven av eldstaden och en rink sidobar.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay and would happily come back!Michelle was incredibly helpful from the very beginning — she called us shortly after we completed the booking to make sure everything was in order. We stayed for three nights at the end of September 2026, and the house was even more beautiful and picturesque in person than it looked in the photos.The house was spotless and extremely well equipped. There was plenty of coffee and pods (even though we brought our own), a kettle, and what felt like a million towels! The hot tub was already warm and ready to use when we arrived. The deck was fantastic, with the hot tub, a table with an umbrella, chairs, and lounge chairs — everything we could possibly need to enjoy the view.And the view is truly incredible. The window offers an amazing panorama, and having our own private pier was such a special touch. Safeway is literally a minute away, which was incredibly convenient.The Wi-Fi was a little inconsistent, but our cell service worked well enough that it wasn’t an issue for us. We enjoyed walking along the shoreline and along the road on this side of the house. We also saw signs of the local wildlife, but thankfully the bears did not bother us at all. Everything was clean, comfortable, beautiful, and thoughtfully prepared. We had a wonderful, relaxing stay and would absolutely recommend this place!

The view is incredible!!! The house is a little outdated but still nice and clean. The hot tub looking over Lake Tahoe is one of the best views I’ve ever seen and that makes this property stand above the rest!

The place was a great long weekend getaway for the family and out of town guest. You can't beat the view from the property. It was well stocked and very convenient to Safeway. Everyone was extremely happy with the property, which is definitely not always the case, we look forward to returning.

You can’t beat the location of this property. The view is outstanding, and we loved the huge glass window that looked out to the lake, the deck in the hot tub were also very nice. Check-in was very easy, communication was easy. The TV had limited stations that we could access, we used an HDMI cord connected to our laptop to stream movies so if this is important to you, I would recommend a laptop and an HDMI cord. Everybody should stay on the edge of Lake Tahoe, at least once, and this is right on the edge of the lake.

Prior to arriving we received notification and rules of the house rental. Letting me know that we have only 1 parking slot, but lucky enough to accommodate 2 cars in tandem. If we had any more vehicles, not sure what we would have done.The house was advertised for 8 people, knowing that there were bunk beds and twin beds, we all had a bed. But honestly, the house is really only accommodating to 4 adults. We had to arrange furniture so we could open up the table to be able to eat on. The bar stools do not fit work for bar area.Had security alarm go off at 1:30am, we all got up, had no clue as to why. We were able to shut off the alarm itself, but fire department showed up. Checked out the house and found nothing, smoke detectors were fine. They required we re-set alarm, we did not have that code, nor was provided with it. Call Tahoe Getaways, had to leave message. Received call back at 10:30am. Fire department got owner on phone, they did not even know code. They finally left us with a temp smoke detector and departed.The house could use a real cleaning, carpets are a mess and black mold in the upstairs bathroom. There is virtually no storage or closet space for suitcases or clothes. The owners have so many cabinets locked up we had no place to put anything or for our groceries.The only thing I gave 2 stars for was the hot tub and the view. Overall, this house is well over priced and should be in the range of Sleeps 4 housing.

The property is permitted and advertised for its stated occupancy, and the sleeping arrangements, including the bunk and twin beds, are shown in the listing so guests can determine whether the layout is a good fit for their particular group. Parking at many Tahoe properties can also be limited, which is why we provide parking information prior to arrival so guests can plan accordingly. We are especially sorry for the disruption caused by the alarm in the middle of the night. We understand how unsettling that must have been, and we’re glad the fire department was able to inspect the home and confirm there was no active fire or smoke issue. We are also sharing your comments regarding the carpets, bathroom, storage, and furnishings with our team so they can be reviewed and addressed as appropriate. We appreciate your feedback and are glad you were at least able to enjoy the beautiful view and hot tub during your stay.

It may be a little dated but the location is excellent. Great views, private pier, and even a private walkway to the public beach. Double deep parking spot. Nearby marina. If you're going to bring or rent a boat, this is a great spot.

This cabin was lovely. The view of the lake was amazing! We had a pleasant and relaxing weekend. Because the weather kept us inside most of the time, the only complaint is that the cable did not work. It would have been nice if the TV was a smart one that we could just have logged into our own streaming accounts. The cooking pans were great, except the larger ones did not have lids. Overall, this cabin was amazing and we had a five star experience

Fell immediately so in love with the view and dock here! Felt like a very safe area. Knew it was an older home going in to it, that being said a few key upgrades would go a long way into making this a 5 star stay. The deck could use a table/chairs as there were none, the older tv with dish worked for a few minutes before saying it couldn’t connect so a smart tv that guests could login to would be great, the king bed needs a real mattress and the water pressure needs looked at by a plumber as there is no pressure upstairs, firewood provided in winter would also be amazing as the central heat doesn’t carry upstairs where the rooms are and it was very cold at night. Also only having 3 coffee mugs for a house that sleeps 7 was weird, I just kept washing them! Hot tub worked great and the rest of the rooms were comfortable, location of house to great restaurants & a cafe was amazing. Would stay again if upgraded a bit!

We’ve shared your notes with the homeowner, including additional coffee mugs, improved water pressure upstairs, a more comfortable king mattress, and upgrading the TV to a smart TV for easier guest use. Your comments about heating upstairs is also helpful. Thank you again for taking the time to offer such thoughtful input—and for noting the many positives as well. We’d love the opportunity to welcome you back in the future and provide an even better experience next time. Future guests should know that the deck furniture is stored in the wintertime and we do inform guests of the lack of firewood before their stay. Please plan to provide your own firewood if you want to use the fireplace.

Lakeside Dream

My group was so amazed. A deck overlooking the lake. A private pier to enjoy. Enough rooms for a large party to stay comfortably, and everything you need, like Safeway, a couple minutes away. And, the Nevada border just a few minutes further so if you like...all the gambling you want to do.

Lakehouse was incredible. The only thing I would say is to change the 10am checkout to 11am/12pm so we could have a bit more time in the morning. Thank you again! What a wonderful place.
