Great location with everything we needed! Only thing I could see that would improve the location would be upgrading the deck-it was serviceable but showing some age. Overall, it was an excellent stay, and we will definitely be looking at this property for future trips!

This is the second time we have stayed here. That should say enough right there. However, our second stay was just as magical and the weather was great. We will probably look to rebook again sometime next summer for another week. Thank you, Myra and Tonya.!!!

Awesome Vacation week

This little bit of paradise was the perfect get away for my husband and me! The cabin had wood plank floors that made it the perfect cabin. Everything we needed was right there. And the beach was only a few yards away, an easy walk. We were able to relax and enjoy our visit. We highly recommend "The Orginal Beach House". Super clean and comfortable.

Great location for beach bums who don't want to be too close to the action

Loved the location. It was wonderful to be so close to the beach at this reasonable price. We do a lot of cooking, and the kitchen was well stocked and very clean. The stove burners had been freshly wrapped in aluminum foil and brought back sweet memories of childhood. Please note that the second bedroom is really suitable only for kids. Adult muscles are too tense to be comfortable on the bunk beds.

If you are looking for a place that is as the pictures posted. This is it! My wife and I spent a week here and didn’t want to leave. The location is great for us. It was approximately10 miles away from all the hustle and bustle around the Gulf Shores/Orange Beach area but close enough to anything you would want/need. The access to the beach was only a 5 minute walk and definitely not crowded. All you have to bring is yourself, this place was initially furnished with everything you would need. A quick trip to the Dollar General and we had our coffee and sandwich stuff for snacks.Definitely a great experience and place!

Small rustic cottage

We had a great stay. The house is pet friendly which was great for us. We brought our two small dogs. It is obvious that it is a pet friendly house. There is only one bedroom with a door ..it isn’t the master. It worked fine for us. It is a bit of a walk to the beach, would recommend a wagon. We had a good stay. It did seem a little pricey, but we made memories and you can’t put a price on that!

Loved it!

The house is a simple little wood frame with large windows on the Gulf side. It's an easy walk to basically a private beach. We had technical difficulties so Mike sent out a repairman. Then Hurricane Sally turned right into Gulf Shores so we had to leave. But nothing about the house or property can be faulted. We even met the house keeper and she is a nice lady who keeps the house extremely clean and neat. Mike is working with us for another stay and he is a straight up good guy. And he has a straight up amazing little house on the Gulf.

Just what we were hoping for!

We had a great stay at the Original Beach Cabin! There was just the 3 of us, my daughter and her 9 year old son. My grandson was out the door every morning early to hit the beach looking for shells and watching the fishermen. The house had everything we needed for our stay including a washer and dryer which was a huge bonus! The beach was gorgeous and secluded. We thought that the week before our spring break (Oklahoma), it would be crowded but we rarely saw anyone! It is almost beachfront and you can see the gulf from the house. A few steps down the road and you're there. It is about as good as it gets - comfy, casual and how I've always envisioned a little beach cottage to be. Thanks for letting us share your little cottage with us. We will be back!

Beach bum

I am a return visitor, I ran across this gem a couple of years back. My family fell in love with the Original Beach House, its perfect for my size of family.(2 adults 3 children). We have made many special memories here. The beach & people in this area are top notch, no over crowding here. We plan to continue our beach trips here for years to come. The only issue we had this trip was the owner had turned off the internet, not good in my opinion, especially when you have young children & its raining. We brought our roku to stream movies for them a night before bed. That plan was abruptly knocked in the head, after contacting the owner we were informed it had been turned off due to the monthly costs, not sure who the provider was but I've never heard of internet costing $70 a month, just get a basic package please. The owner has always seemed to be a nice guy & very accommodating.

This was an amazing trip with my husband and grandson for our anniversary. We loved this house. It had Everything we were needing or even looking for…. Only thing we did not see or ask about was a hair dryer or iron, but we didn’t need one. Lots of spices, paper plates, bowls and trash bags. There was Big pot for boiling crab, but we brought one. The ice maker helped. Supply of coffee filters, dish soap, laundry detergent, Q-tips, alcohol rub, bleach and lots of towels. There is a grill outside. We can’t even list all that was there. House was cute and it looked just like the pics. The beach access is about 200 steps. It was just a little tough for me having a bad back walking through the thick white powder sand to the water. Bring a wagon with big wheels, or a surf board to pull your supplies. It will help a lot! The beds and pillows were comfortable. We did not sleep on bunk beds. Kids or teenagers would work just fine in that room. There is a door for that room, not for the primary room with the two beds. That room is open to the living room. Beads would have worked there. Ceiling fans in both rooms, plus a stand up fan that we used. Outside shower was a plus. We didn’t expect that…. No need for fire sticks just your log ins for streaming. Hand rails and lights for the stairs. Perfect place for a couple and kiddos.

We are wanting a FULL refund. This is a nightmare. Our home in Kentucky was lost to a fire March of this year and we lost everything and needed/looked forward to a week of therapy etc My wife gets 1 week vacation a year and upon arrival after 11hr drive the house was not ready and the cleaning people just arrived . We had to leave and when we came back the house was NASTY. Hairs from dogs and human were all over bed covers/pillows and bed bugs (pics) in every bed except the bunkbeds.House was infested with mosquitoes biting ants and large roaches (pics/video). 2 large 11/2" roaches crawled across my wife while sitting in the living room chair. 2 large dead roaches by the headboard in bedroom and filth under the beds, black mold on blinds etc. We do not feel safe and cannot stay due to the conditions and wanted a FULL refund. The owner advised " there are no refunds givin and roaches and ants wont hurt anyone."This reservation and its condition has ruined our vacation and expectations of a relaxing week of therapy and the owner was rude his wife even called us and said "we were something else by complaining and expecting a refund". I could go on and on. I/we have pictures and video's of it all and they just said "it didn't matter and there will be no refund. We lost our money and paid another $2000.00 and stayed everynight in a motel in Foley. NEVER again.

Perfect location, short walk to the beach. You are away from the hustle and bustle of everything. Could use some updating as the bunk beds are in pretty rough shape our kiddos had to sleep elsewhere. Could use some pest control as well. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Great house!

Walking distance to the beach for swimming or fishing. Hiking trails near by too. The house had everything you may have forgotten at home! Plenty of linens, a washer and dryer, the kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans, cups, plates, and silverware. It's a good 20+ minute drive to get to Gulf Shores, so buy your groceries on your way in! There is an amazing local coffee shop next to the Exxon station and Dollar General on the way in, you WON'T be disappointed when you stop there!!!

Great little house

House was well stocked. This is our second trip to this house. Not the biggest/nicest/cleanest but everything worked like it was supposed to. I'm already planning a third trip. I do not like that the sale is final. It's the only property I have seen on VRBO that doesn't allow cancelations.

Beach House steps away from the shore!

Rented the Beach House for a week to join a large family gathering. Solid quality house to enjoy the Gulf view with coffee in the morning, from the comfortable chairs inside the house or with a short walk to the beach. Dunes surrounding the house gathered nature for viewing to every window of the house. If you ‘re looking for a comfortable house nestled in Alabama’s moon light nights listening to the frogs and shaded deck seating to hear the birds sing in the morning, I found all abundantly at the Original Beach House. Will be returning. JoAnn Con- To shorten your drive. Avoid interstate 65.
