David was good at responding to my inquiries. The property was well maintained and clean. There was ample supplies, ie: toilet paper, paper towels, towels. I would stay here again, if I am ever back in the area.

Went in the middle of February for a long skiing/ snowboarding weekend, place was great and the hosts were more than accommodating and I can only imagine how pretty it is in the summer but I can say for sure it was beautiful in the winter!

Great large lake view home, loved the view, great communication with the host, also pet friendly with all the amenities..The family had a great time...even had a dock for our boat with easy access to a boat launch.

With the exception of a few things, our week with family and 2 dogs was amazing. A couple things to note, the dock broke in two spots, but no one was injured. The water pressure in the lower level was a trickle at best, so we used the master bathroom where my elderly mom was staying. And some of the cabinets where dishes were had a ton of dead bugs so it was clear the cleaning people didn’t get that area and the basement slider was full of thick spider dwellings…more than just cobwebs. And we couldn’t get any of the sliders on main floor to lock so at night we just put the wood pieces that were there as a lock. These were minor issues, but things to consider for the weekly price for this property. The location is spectacular. 70 steps to get down to dock that even my 75 year old mother managed each day! We all got our steps in!

Kristen - thanks for the feedback and apologies for the low water pressure and the cleaning issues. I have passed your feedback on to the cleaning team - they should not have missed those items. I cleaned out the lower level bathroom faucet and shower head to got the pressure back to where it should be. All 3 sliding doors facing the lake are being replaced - the first one was done the week after you left and the other 2 are on the schedule for the fall. The dock gets some rough use throughout the summer - I'm switching service providers for next year to get more timely response when mid-season repairs are required. Thanks again for your feedback - we always want to provide the best experience possible for our guests.

Great week on the lake!

This was our third year renting this property, and as always, it was a wonderful stay. The property is first class, beautifully maintained, and perfect for a family vacation. Highlights are the fantastic deck, the sandbar, and the beautiful view of Walloon. Will be back again next year!

Family vacation

We loved everything about our stay! David was very responsive and easy to work with. The house is great and worked very well for three generations of family staying together. The kitchen is very well supplied, beds and linens are comfortable, beautiful lake location, really no complaints and we will be back next year!

Beautiful large lake view home in a private setting! Plenty of room for eight adults and a golden retriever. Easy check-in and great communication with the host. Lots of games for all to enjoy – ping pong, pool, shuffle board, etc. Really enjoyed the patio with fire pit and plenty of space for all and equally enjoyed the spacious dock for lounging in the sun. The paddle boards were a nice addition! Can’t wait until our next visit!

Perfect Family Vacation!

This home was perfect for our family! It’s beautiful, incredibly roomy and has every amenity you could possibly need…starting with a great location and view! All of our adult kids had the space they needed, and fun water toys to keep everyone happy and active! We’re looking forward to going back next year!

Beautiful property with beautiful views! It's a lovely, very private property but close to town.We stayed with six of our adult children and had a wonderful time. The house was extremely well-stocked, house was clean, and beds were comfortable. There were extra towels, blankets, and sheets. We rented the pontoon for a day and David was very helpful with instructions and usage of the boat. The lake wasn't overrun with boats either- a few boats and jet skis but even on Labor Day weekend it wasn't crowded. Overall great stay!

Nice House with good finishes. Clean and bug free which is a huge positive in upper lower Michigan. Unfortunately there is Unacceptably low water pressure inside.Things to be aware of while considering that may or may not matter based on the renter.1. No real yard for gatherings/outdoor activities. Seems to share a small yard in front with the house next door. Definitely zero off leash opportunities for the 4-legged family members.2. The lake is down about 50 steep steps from the lower level of the house on a very steep hillside. This unexpected feature made the lake inaccessible to my elderly dog and Father in Law.

We appreciate feedback - it helps us provide the best experience possible going forward for future guests. This is the first time in memory over 15 years of hosting on Walloon Lake that a concern has been raised about water pressure. As the house a well, there is some natural variation in the water pressure as the pump cycles. Although I have checked the pump & pressure tank and they appear to be working properly, I am having the system professionally inspected to confirm maximum efficiency / pressure. Regarding other comments: 1) The property has a private (not shared) yard between the house on the road. It has hosted a variety of gatherings (including our son's wedding with 75 people attending, a food truck, bar, photo trailer and band stand) and yard games (corn hole, badminton, volleyball, lawn jarts). Our listing does not advertise a fenced yard for dogs. We do, however, provide gates for either end of the large deck to allow dogs to roam freely while enjoying that outdoor space with their humans. 2) As the aerial photographs included in the listing clearly depict the hillside nature of the property, I am surprised to read in the review that this was unexpected. We commonly hear about the amazing view of the lake from our elevated perch - it is unfortunate that this feature did not fit well with the needs of this group. We hope this provides a balanced perspective for future prospective guests.

Spectacular views!

We rented this home and the neighboring property for a golf centric trip. Both homes are fantastic. The amenities are wonderful and the lake views from each home are spectacular. For what it’s worth, there are multiple golf options. We would definitely rent these properties again.

Beautiful secluded location yet close to town

We are annual summer renters in northern Michigan and this home was perfect for the different ages groups we had. If you like trail running, mountain biking or strolling through the trees this is the perfect location. The dock worked wonderfully for our boat and the shallow water made a great spot for throwing toys off the end of the dock for the dogs and swimming for the kids. The host was welcoming and the house had everything we needed and more!!
