Just what post-holiday decompression ordered!

Our 6 nights at this property were everything we expected, and more. The location is very private with spectacular vistas and quite comfortable furnishings. Our host, Sherri, was responsive to every pre-trip inquiry, with wonderful recommendations and suggestions.

Sherry the property manager was amazing. We took all her suggestions and it honestly made our vacation. The cottage was something out of a story book. I have done several vrbos and this was by far the best experience I have ever had. We will be back and will book to stay here again. Really can’t say enough great things!!! 5 star and more

Little House With Amazing Views

We loved every minute of our stay! Sherri is a special lady who promptly answered all of our questions both before the trip and during the vacation week. She is professional, caring, fun and shared valuable information about the island. The little house definitely lived up to the online photos and videos! Its location allows for easy trips to many beaches and a variety of great restaurants. Our Jeep allowed us to navigate many of the steep and rough roads ;-) We would love to return some day.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Stone Cottage. The property is beautiful and the views of Dorathea Bay are much better than the pictures. Sherri was wonderful. Very accommodating, available, and full of information to help us enjoy our stay. The property had everything we needed to dine in or grill just like home. We were pretty active and always on the go but it always felt great to back to Stone Cottage at the end of the day. It really felt like home. If your looking for a rental in St Thomas, I can't image doing better than this. Cheers!

This was our 1st time visiting The Virgin Islands and it was AMAZING from the moment I booked. Our host Sherri is F***ing Awesome đŸ„°... Sherri is the best!

We stayed for our honeymoon. The property is exactly as listed in terms of location, amenities, and views. We had a great stay and then found ourselves in the throw of tropical storm (soon to be Hurricane) Fiona. Sherri helped us to figure out a safe and logical departure strategy from St. Thomas, which helped us get off the island before being stranded due to cancelled and missed flights. Our honeymoon was absolutely amazing, and we hope to return to this beautiful island again.

Amazing honeymoon in paradise

This was the perfect place for our honeymoon. It is very secluded. The only sounds you hear are the waves, the birds, and the other animals around. Everything was very clean and Sherri (and Debbie) were very attentive to meet any need that came up. We appreciate the advice about the car rental company and enjoyed driving a jeep around the island. Sherri's information and hospitality helped us feel at home even before our stay began. We highly recommend staying at Stone Cottage. We enjoyed every minute of it.

30th Wedding Anniversary Trip

Don’t hesitate to stay here! This cottage is relaxing , beautiful and very private. Everything you need for a great vacation is here. The personalization of Sheri meeting us and having us follow her to the cottage where she gave us an overview, great suggestions and input WAS very special. It was also nice knowing she was on the property nearby should we need anything . We felt very safe and relaxed there. Glad we rented a jeep for the driveway. The cottage was very clean and had a lot of supplies. We definitely will rent again!

Great place and great host

Sherri is the best. She takes great care of the property and the guests. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. The house is comfortable and can be as open as you want. Each wall is a giant sliding glass door. It’s mostly surrounded by jungle so you get lots of bird and frogs singing to you at night. There are some local roosters that pipe in too. I’ll say the view is better in person than in any of the pictures. The only other house you can see is the rock house on the same property. In January the little pool was to cold to use. If you like peace and quiet this is a great place. It was perfect for us.

Stone Cottage had everything we were looking for and more!

Stone Cottage is an adorable cottage overlooking a bay. It has a beautiful deck for viewing, sitting and relaxing. You can hear the waves crash down below. The home was equipped with everything we needed for cooking and comfort. The pool is a huge bonus! Communication with Sherri was incredible. Our arrival on the island was such a smooth transition thanks to her expertise! She had some wonderful ideas of places to go off the beaten path. A great asset to renting the property! Stone cottage is away from all the downtown chaos. It was easy to get to other areas of St. Thomas, the furthest beach was only 30Mins away max. I would not recommend driving at night due to the roads in St. Thomas. We rented a cab to go into town for a fancy dinner and that worked wonderfully! You can not go wrong with this property if you are looking to get away from it all!

What a villa!

My wife and I stayed a week on St Thomas before heading to St. John. We could not have picked a better place to stay. It's on the quiet side of the island but the drive downtown and to other activities is not bad at all: 30-40 minutes tops and the roads are actually fun. The reward is a beautiful and secluded villa. We loved the view on the bay and the clear skies at night but more importantly it felt like we were sleeping in the middle of a tropical garden. It's lush and surrounded by gorgeous flowers and fruit trees. The iguanas can be seen up close and the birds sing all night. The house has everything you'll ever need (even alcohol passed from guest to guest) with a true Caribbean feel. The pool is amazing. We would just roll out of bed to take a dip and finish our busy days relaxing there as well. We never had to use the A/C thanks to the nightly breeze and numerous glass doors. There were mosquitoes in the bedroom so bring repellent or stay under the sheet. In conclusion, if you're looking for a private cottage that feels like paradise look no further.

Tropical Paradise

Stone Cottage is Absolutely Wonderful ! The villa is in a lush tropical setting with breathtaking views of the aquamarine sea. My husband and I celebrated our wedding anniversary at Stone Cottage, which made it was so special. Stone Cottage is beautiful and exceptionally clean. The pool was sparkling clean, and landscaping is beautiful. The deck is large and wraps around to the Pool with ample, very nice outdoor furniture. The indoor decor is unique and tropical, and the bed was very comfortable. Stone Cottage is very well equipped and has many special touches. Sherri, the manager, made sure that our vacation was wonderful. She met us at the airport ,and lead us to the property. She answered all of our questions. She prepared us for tropical storm 'Karen'. The storm had the potential to become a hurricane. I felt very safe with frequent updates and instructions from Sherri. Her kindness is genuine, and it will not be forgotten. Stone Cottage is our definition of a tropical paradise , and we will be back soon! Thanks Sherri :)

Best Vacation EVER

I'll try to summarize this as best as possible: From the onset of looking at the property and asking questions, Sherri was super responsive. We wanted a private getaway, with a view (the pics do NOT do it justice), where we were a little off the "beaten path", and we could cook some of our own food but still get around to do what we wanted to do. "Stone Cottage" absolutely nailed it. We were there for 6 days/5 nights, went to 8 different beaches between St. Thomas and St. John and had the absolute best experience of our lives. Here are some things to expect/know/prepare for: 1. Sherri recommended "Amalie Car Rental" vs. the bigger names. DO IT. They were a little more expensive on the front end, but WAY cheaper in the long run. They met us at the airport with Sherri and put us in a brand new jeep (their entire fleet is brand new) with 4k miles and then we followed Sherri UP to the house. Notice that we said UP. You want a 4x4 vehicle with ground clearance to really enjoy the island. 2. Some roads are in good condition. Some roads are not from the hurricanes. Pay attention, drive with purpose and you'll get around fine. GPS was not always super reliable, but it's a small island, so just going back the way you came will get you where you want to be. 3. With the car availability you will be able to hit all the major hot spots around the cruise ship/touristy type schedules - arriving before/after the crowds. 4. Definitely take a day trip on the car ferry to St. John. Beautiful. Listen to Sherri's advice on the car ferries. 5. GO TO WATER ISLAND. 6. The entrance to Neltjeberg Beach is right by the house. Sherri will tell you how to get down there. Very small dirt road. It's like 2 miles of twists straight down to a completely secluded beach that you can park on. 7. Food - We cooked some food for our stay to not have to eat out all the time. The Grocery Delivery service is super expensive, have the house stocked with a few items for your arrival, otherwise make the trip to a local store. We used "Moe's" in Charlotte Amalie (15 min away) - costs of most items were no more than at your local Whole Foods. They also have beer/liquor there so you don't have to go to multiple places. Seriously - best vacation ever. We will be back, hopefully sooner than later. Everything was absolutely perfect, Sherri was the best host.

Varför vÀrden valde detta boende

Stone Cottage is truly a get away from it all. Located in a tropical lush setting where houses are not on top of each other, our little St. John, so to speak. If you have 4wd, you can drive to a secret beach that many have never seen, it is very secluded and surely has no amenities. One of our favorite spots for sure! If you don't have 4wd, you can hike over to this beach from the rocky Dorothea beach below us, but be sure to take water and snacks. One guest calls Stone Cottage her tree-house as you are surrounded with foliage and an awesome view of Inner and Outer Brass Islands. There is peace and tranquility here!

Depending on the time of year, you may even get to sample Mangoes, coconuts, bananas, plantain, passion fruit, lemons and limes, and even avocado, but I cannot guarantee that they will always be available. We always share with our guests if they are! :)
Another benefit is that we, ourselves are available for any needs or issues you may have. We are hands on, but only if you want us to be!
