We have rented through Stubbs several times now and the location of all the rentals including this one at Solana Beach and Tennis Club can't be beat. Quick access to the beach, walk to shops and fantastic restaurants. The views of the Pacific are worth the price of admission every time. There are two things that rubbed me with this experience. First, the pool was being resurfaced. This is advertised as an amenity and something I believe I pay for as part of the rental. I was not given a heads up on this and found out as we went to the pool for a swim and seriously disappointed my daughter. You need to give a guy a heads up on this. Very disappointing and frustrating; especially for a child. A simple heads up to your guests and a repeat customer is expected. This is something you should be aware of Stubbs. Second, part of the experience and amenities is the secure, covered, close and convenient parking. We were unable to utilize the garage or parking for the last 3 days due to the other buildings getting fumigated. We were not informed of this by Stubbs until the morning of and literally minutes before we almost were locked out and unable to retrieve our car and move it to the street. We were not even at the condo when Stubbs called. We were at the beach with no service. If we would have been locked out, we would not been able to get the car out as the buildings were fully wrapped. When I contacted Stubbs about my concerns there was no empathy for me as a repeat guest. We were told to find a spot on the street or at the garage across the street, and they were more concerned about how they were affected than me as a guest. I was left to feel unimportant with no option or anything to resolve the issue; a lost amenity that again I was not given a heads up and just about lost access to my car until 3 days after our checkout. Furthermore, I was told that since it did not affect my building that it didnt matter which tells me Stubbs was aware.
