The property is owned by the Gregg family in a Company name.
We live in Edgbaston, Birmingham. Professionally we are from financial and insurance backgrounds and are now retired.

We fell in love with this property 13 years ago. Quite by accident as we were looking for property around the Quinta de Lago and Vale de Lobo area. However all the properties we looked at were on postage stamp size plots with indifferent houses. An agent persuaded us to travel to Porches. Driving up the long driveway and seeing this wonderful traditional Quinta set in the most beautiful gardens - just blew us away!
There are 2 Restaurants in Porches Village walking distance , i fine Dining O'leao and Velho ,and several small but good eateries Rampa for one.
Checking out the area we find the most fantastic beaches with beautiful cliff top walks. Within 10 minutes are 2 waterparks which for the children was a massive pull.
We are surrounded by some great golf courses which we never tire of playing. There are deals to be had if you shop around for tee times.
The Algarve has some fantastic restaurants from Michellin starred ones within 15-20 minutes, to the local cafe - you never seem to get a bad meal.
The icing on the cake for us was that prices were a lot cheaper eating out, playing golf and of course property with as much land as you wanted than Vale de Lobo and Qunita de Lago offering a much more traditional Portuguese feel.!
Over the last 12 years we have had some fantastic holidays in this villa with the children growing up, They've brought their friends who have in turn bought their friends. We've hosted a 50th birthday party in the grounds with tables all around the pool. At night siting on the verandah with a gin and tonic looking out over at Porches church all lit up, with family games can be one of the most relaxing times of the day.
What this villa offers is a wonderful traditional family holiday. There's plenty of places to see. Silves Medieval town 7 km away. If you re in to surfing the trip to to West coast is a definite . Ferraguda a traditional fishing village with great restaurants sitting next door to Portimao with its busy fishing port only 8 km

Once in the grounds of this villa, you feel as if you re in a world of your own but yet you re close enough to so many different amenities and leisure activities that you could possibly want , to fill a family holiday. The best of both worlds.
Privacy is perfection! Once owned by a german record producer who said to us the one thing I love about this place is the freedom to swim in the pool naked and not be overlooked! Well let me tell you we don't do that.............but you can!
