Peaceful,relaxing stay

It was a lovely villa in an excellent location close to main roads. The garden was beautiful and the pool excellent. A couple of small problems were dealt with efficiently by Corrine the manager. The only downside were there were several dogs in the area that barked at times, one behind the property barking through the night on more than one occasion!

Loved Porches

The property description was very accurate. We loved the pool and all of the outdoor seating. The gardens are beautiful and we all had to get a picture with Ellie the elephant. Thank you for sharing you home with our family! Only suggestion would be to have more fans, spices for cooking, toilet paper, soap and coffee pods. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful gateaway

This property felt like our own private resort with the large gated grounds and beautiful pool. The property manager stayed in contact with us throughout our stay. The property is convenient to see various sites and beaches. Highly recommend.

Great Getaway

This is a great villa with fantastic outdoor space and a large pool. The grounds are very well maintained and the villa was spotless. We spent most of our time just hanging out at the villa. Well located for nearby beaches and supermarkets. The local town has good local restaurants and a small well stocked shop all within walking distance.

Perfect!

The house is very well maintained and spacious. Everything you’ll need is there and it makes you feel right at home. The garden is so beautiful. This together with the large swimming pool makes it the perfect outdoors for us. We’ve enjoyed our stay so much and would highly recommend it to anyone.

Birthday Celebration with a family get together.

What a wonderful long weekend we spent at the villa..the weather was glorious...the pool and surrounding gardens were marvellous. Corrina the manager was so kind and helpful. I would recommend the villa 100%.

Wonderful big house with big garden & pool

Everything was fine, except the gardener. That man came many times, spontaneous & without saying „ Hello, may I disturb you?“… it‘s a little bit strange, when somebody walks early in the morning around your house. But at the end, we were happy, many thanks.

I would highly recommend this villa, it was perfect for our family group of 7 adults and older teenagers. The villa and pool were spotless, the grounds were beautiful, and the location perfect. Although the villa doesn't have air con, the surrounding trees keep the villa cool, so the 30+ degree heat was never a problem. The rooms are light and airy, with plenty of room. The garden and grounds are fabulous, and the abundance of outside furniture makes it easy to be outside, in either the sun or the shade. Communication with the owner and on site manager were easy and excellent. The pretty local village is a short walk down the road, and the gorgeous local beaches only a short drive away. We were very sad to leave, and will be back.

beautiful , secluded with so much space

We visited the Algarve as a family for a wedding. We chose this lovely villa because of location and closeness to the wedding venue. So glad we did and we plan to go back. It is a lovely setting with huge gardens and an amazing pool. The villa has loads of space ,Big bedrooms, good bathrooms, great terrace for eating outside or just relaxing on . It is very peaceful and relaxing but close (by car) to beautiful beaches and great restaurants. Although if you like chilling and eating al fresco he kitchen has everything u could need in it and more. A very generous welcome pack was provided and very much appreciated as we arrived very late in the evening . The housekeeper was there to meet us and was very helpful.. We were also able to check out late as there was no one coming in after us. Communication with Julie(the owner) was first class. We had a great time here, Thank you

Endroit fantastique!

Nous avons séjourné mon conjoint et moi avec nos 4 enfants et nos parents dans cette villa magnifique. Le terrain est exceptionnel et entretenu avec soin tout comme le reste de la propriété. Les communications ont été excellentes avec la propriétaire de l’établissement et ses partenaires sur place qui ont été très rapides à répondre à nos questions. La piscine est un endroit idéal pour réunir toute la famille ou se détendre en toute tranquillité loin des bruits de la ville. Nous avions lu commentaires concernant les aboiements des chiens dans le voisinage. Il est vrai qu’il y a des chiens mais cela n’affecte en rien la qualité de l’hébergement, mais mieux vaut être avisé. Merci encore à Paula et son équipe pour l’accueil!

Au-delà de nos attentes

Nous avons apprécié chaque instant de notre séjour dans ce magnifique endroit. Excellent accueil. Belle propriété bien équipée, spacieuse et agréable. Superbe jardin de fleurs et de fruits. Piscine bien entretenue et très utile par temps de canicule. Maison bien située à proximité du village et de plages d’une grande beauté. Localisation très centrale pour rayonner en Algarve. Nous étions ravis d’avoir fait ce choix!

Estupendo mi familia y yo lo recordaremos, como unás vacaciones de 6 días con agrado, los niños lo pasaron muy bien, entre la mesa de ping-pong y la piscina parecía que no había niños, por la noche el parche muy agradable.

Détente et plaisir dans un cadre paradisiaque

Nous avons passé 10 jours dans cette merveilleuse propriété : jardin exceptionnel , piscine chauffée et bbq Les enfants se sont distraits grâce à la table de Ping Pong, ballon , jeu d eau, Détente , lecture dans le jardin énorme , piscine , bbq , photographie, … tout est réuni !!!

Excellent Villa with beautifull green garden close to everything

We stayed with our family of 5 and had a fantastic week. The villa is wel located and close to beaches, restaurants, shops and supermarkets (10-15 min). Ask Paul for tips and you will feel like local incrowd. The garden and pool area is great and better than the pictures. Highly recommended!

weekend of fun

We had a wonderful weekend here, everything most enjoyable, the gardens are a delight with trees, bushes and herbs producing a lovely aroma. Our grandson ran about all day long and had great fun in the pool, as did all of us. Hope to return some day.

We live in Edgbaston, Birmingham. Professionally we are from financial and insurance backgrounds and are now retired.

Varför värden valde detta boende

We fell in love with this property 13 years ago. Quite by accident as we were looking for property around the Quinta de Lago and Vale de Lobo area. However all the properties we looked at were on postage stamp size plots with indifferent houses. An agent persuaded us to travel to Porches. Driving up the long driveway and seeing this wonderful traditional Quinta set in the most beautiful gardens - just blew us away!
There are 2 Restaurants in Porches Village walking distance , i fine Dining O'leao and Velho ,and several small but good eateries Rampa for one.
Checking out the area we find the most fantastic beaches with beautiful cliff top walks. Within 10 minutes are 2 waterparks which for the children was a massive pull.
We are surrounded by some great golf courses which we never tire of playing. There are deals to be had if you shop around for tee times.
The Algarve has some fantastic restaurants from Michellin starred ones within 15-20 minutes, to the local cafe - you never seem to get a bad meal.
The icing on the cake for us was that prices were a lot cheaper eating out, playing golf and of course property with as much land as you wanted than Vale de Lobo and Qunita de Lago offering a much more traditional Portuguese feel.!
Over the last 12 years we have had some fantastic holidays in this villa with the children growing up, They've brought their friends who have in turn bought their friends. We've hosted a 50th birthday party in the grounds with tables all around the pool. At night siting on the verandah with a gin and tonic looking out over at Porches church all lit up, with family games can be one of the most relaxing times of the day.
What this villa offers is a wonderful traditional family holiday. There's plenty of places to see. Silves Medieval town 7 km away. If you re in to surfing the trip to to West coast is a definite . Ferraguda a traditional fishing village with great restaurants sitting next door to Portimao with its busy fishing port only 8 km

Once in the grounds of this villa, you feel as if you re in a world of your own but yet you re close enough to so many different amenities and leisure activities that you could possibly want , to fill a family holiday. The best of both worlds.
Privacy is perfection! Once owned by a german record producer who said to us the one thing I love about this place is the freedom to swim in the pool naked and not be overlooked! Well let me tell you we don't do that.............but you can!
