Perfekt alternativ till dyra hotellrum utan att ge upp lyx eller plats! Vacker historisk byggnad totalrenoverades med alla moderna bekvämligheter och hiss, är byggnaden helt nya inuti, men med ursprungliga fasaden utanför på populära Huertas gata, mycket nära till Prado, Thyssen och Reina Sofia och Palacio Real (Kungliga slottet), i historiska centrum centrala Madrid, den berömda Barrio de las Letras.

Lägenheten har en mycket bekväm drottning säng (160 cm)
och 2 bäddsoffor i vardagsrummet. Sovrummet har 3 väggar och är inte helt privat. Du kan se den i bilderna.

Jag har bott i Madrid under det senaste decenniet, glad att hjälpa dig välja de bästa platserna att besöka i och runt Madrid. Lägenheten ligger alldeles intill Plaza de Santa Ana. Nära Puerta del Sol och Plaza Mayor och museer. Du kan gå till La Cava Baja, en gata full av restauranger och små barer. Dessutom, Mercado de San Miguel en stor mötesplats och läckra tapas!

Tunnelbanetunnelbanestation är bara några steg bort, så att du kan enkelt flytta runt Madrid, samt en kort promenad till Atocha centralstationen, varifrån du enkelt kan ta höghastighetståg bullet AVE till Toledo, Segovia eller Avila, eller längre resor till Sevilla, Alicante eller Barcelona.

Perfect for a family of 3

Overall a great property. Has everything you need. It’s well appointed & super clean. Communication was on point and the host even provides wonderful recommendations. Literally only hiccup is that it is in the best location because it is in the middle of everything but with that came some noise issues. Really just Fri and Sat night when ppl stayed up later. But otherwise a perfect place.

Disappointing stay

My husband and I stayed at this property for one week in March. My contact with Gorete was excellent and she has many useful recommendations.We were not greeted by her but by her assistant Alicia. Between the time she opened the door and left after having “explained” how things worked in the apartment was 4 minutes tops.The apartment is a suite and not a one bedroom- there are partitions separating the liviving room from the bed and the bed from the bathroom.It is relatively well-equipped and is well situated for many must see sites in Madrid.There is also a good restaurant just downstairs.The real downside of the apartment is the noise. There is a bar 2 doors away and a youth hostel a few hundred meters up the street. The partying is nightly in the street until 4 am.Gorete had told me that she had inner courtyard apartments that were quieter but darker, but we never expected that amount of noise so late into the night or early morning.

Anniversary Trip

My husband and I celebrated our 25th anniversary here. We loved that everything was within walking distance. The apartment was super cute, clean, and very comfy!Gorete was such a pleasure to work with, very accommodating, and answered all our questions. Alicia checked us in and she was very nice and went over everything in the apartment. We will be back!

Beautiful space!

This is our second time staying with Goreta, in 2016 we stayed in the apartment next door. The building is safe and secure. The location is fantastic. And Goreta and Alicia are absolutely wonderful. It can be a bit loud from the street noise, but closing the shutters helps with that. Next time we are in Madrid there is no doubt where we will be staying.

Perfect Location

Apartment is very clean and is fairly well equipped. Had a great stay in Madrid. Everything was as advertised. Only comment is that the living room furniture is not very comfortable.

Beautiful, comfortable , immaculate, great location

We couldn’t be more pleased with our accommodations. The location was quaint and quiet, yet close to everything. The interior was sparkling clean with stunning modern appeal and everything you might need. We loved being in our place when we needed downtime. And, could walk in any direction to see the spectacular sights and shop. It was top notch and we had an awesome experience!

Great location, great host, great time

I absolutely LOVED my experience. You can’t beat the neighborhood, and despite it being quite busy, it’s a very quiet apartment. Stocked with what you need, plus a washer, clean, spacious apartment. Host was wonderful and responsible during a key hiccup (got easily resolved). Would stay here again.

Comfort, location and style!

From the time of the booking our host was highly communicative and shared her guides for the neighborhood and surrounding areas. Was great to use the WhatsApp app for communication. Greeted early by assistant at the lobby of the building where we were shown how to use the exterior and interior doors to the building. Elevator was available and nice for the luggage but the stairs worked for us since we were only 1 floor up. Apartment has two air con which are necessary in the hot summer. Lovely well appointed seating area with two couches and lovely floor to ceiling windows. Kitchen has all you need and the washer also has a drying option. The bedroom is separated but does not have a door. We liked this because the cool air could travel better around the entire apartment. Bathroom had ample mirrors and a magnifying makeup mirror which is a nice touch shower is a bit small however. Loved the location and could walk everywhere. Atocha station, retiro park, Reina Sofia, Calle cava Baja, grand via, chueca, markets etc. didn’t use the metro nearly as much as we thought we would. We appreciated the toiletries in the bath as well. Not a negative on the apartment but know that there is a busy street below. Not a lot of traffic but if you stay over a weekend be prepared for a little street noise late into the night. Also, there is an office building across the way, just be aware to use the louvers for some privacy which were on the balcony.

GREAT place to stay.

We stayed in this apartment for 2 weeks and were completely happy. The location is great for going to the Museums--a 12 minute walk. And right past the Museums is the Retiro Park, which we went to 4 times. The bed, kitchen, check in were all flawless and the AC is great. Fantastic communication with the managers. TIP FOR MADRID. It is cool in the mornings, so get up and out by 9 then walk somewhere--even on the hottest days it is comfortable until noon, and an moderately hot days (84 and under) it is not hot until 2 pm.

Location, location, location! This is smack-dab in the middle of the historic Barrio de las Letras (Literature Neighborhood) very romantic, safe and with countless places to eat, people-watch, on a pedestrian street (no traffic).

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

The building was completely gutted a few years ago and they saved the facade and the 100 year old staircase, but everything else is brand-new modern construction and a modern elevator. We have furnished and equipped the apartment with everything we would like to find in a rental, we use VRBO ourselves when we travel so we understand that small details are paramount. Besides, we have lived in Madrid for over a decade, so we are happy to steer you to the best suggestions, whether they are restaurants, site seeing, shopping, trendy restaurants, family places or unique Madrid experiences depending on your date of travel.
