NYTT FÖR 2019:
Ett stort strandpåfyllningsprojekt avslutades under våren. Stranden har aldrig sett bättre ut eller varit mer inbjudande. Kom ihåg detta när du läser några av de äldre recensionerna eftersom de frågor som tagits upp på lämpligt sätt vid den tiden inte längre finns. Det är fantastiskt att se hur 11 000 ton sand kan förvandla vattnet. Vi kan inte vänta på att du kommer se det!
Vi har också renoverat vardagsrummet genom att lägga till ny soffa, kärleksstol, stol, soffbord och matta. Så insidan ser också bättre ut än någonsin!

En oas vid stranden där Chesapeake möter Atlanten väntar på din ankomst. Kom ner och koppla av på två stora däck med utsikt över en mil lång privat sandstrand med utsikt mot östra stranden!

Byggt 2010, vårt hem har alla moderna bekvämligheter. Nedervåningen är ett rymligt kök med rostfria vitvaror med utsikt över det stora vardagsrummet och matsalen. Genom skjutdörrarna är uteserveringen med en gasgrill och sittplatser för 8. Du hittar också ett sovrum med en dubbelsäng, ett andra sovrum med dubbelsängar i våningssäng och ett tvättstuga med tvättmaskin och torktumlare i full storlek. Slutligen finns det ett komplett badrum med ett anpassat målat glasfönster.

På övervåningen hittar du sovrummet med katedraltak och anpassade målat glasfönster som öppnar sig till ett däck. Njut av magnifik havsutsikt och den vackra Virginia soluppgångar direkt från din king size-säng. Ett andra stort kung sovrum väntar dina gäster. Granne är ett stort bifogat bonus sovrum med en dubbelsäng och sittgrupp. Det finns ett komplett badrum på andra våningen.

Med stranden utanför dörren är vattenaktiviteterna oändliga. Stranden är mycket familjevänlig, med grunt varmt vatten och milda vågor. Beläget bara en timme från Colonial Williamsburg och Busch Gardens. Njut av lokala matställen, antikviteter och vingårdar längs vägen. Naturligtvis, när du är på Chesapeake, kan du göra som lokalbefolkningen gör och fågelskådning, fiska och krabba.

Family vacation

The location of the property was great. Our family enjoyed being on the beautiful beach. 4 adults and 1 child slept very comfortable. We encountered some issues: grill not working, ants in kitchen, ripped screens enclosing screened in porch. Overall, we had a great trip.

The perfect vacation spot

I’m not sure what I can say other than this property was perfect and fit all the needs of my family. It was so perfect that one of my youngsters took the training wheels off his bike and succeeded. I think he’ll compete in the Tour de France eventually! We saw deer, bald eagles, wild turtles and tons of sea life. All the neighbors are great, there are no strangers in Bavon! This place is a must stay for any family.

small private beach just beyond back yard

Beach and back bay was ideal for toddlers. House was nice for multiple families. Although upstairs you need to walk through master bedroom to get to back bedrooms. But that worked for us. Screened in porch nice to gather and relax. We ate all our meals out there except for a couple when it was too hot.

7/30-8/6/2022 This was our first stay on the Chesapeake Bay. Tranquility lived up to its name. The house was lovely- spotless upon arrival. We were not bothered by the upstairs bedroom set up. Homeowners might consider putting in French doors between the 2 back rooms though. It would give a bit more privacy to each room. The room with the twin bed could even have a queen bed and a bunk or trundle bed as well- plenty of room. That twin mattress was extremely uncomfortable for a weeks worth of sleep. That is my only “complaint”. The views from the master bed waking up each morning were phenomenal!! Sitting on the upper deck was relaxing and peaceful listening to the waves and the insects each morning and evening. The kitchen was huge and had everything we needed to cook each night! Dining in the screened in porch each evening was fun for our family. The kids & teens played games each evening or walked along the beach to see all the night creatures! We rented paddle boards that were dropped off and picked up at the end of the week- couldn’t have been easier! The bay is perfect for kayaking and paddle boarding or floating in a noodle chair! Most days we were the only family on the beach! The water was warm and very little seaweed. My girls are older but it is a perfect beach for young children as it is very shallow for a good distance out. We did an excursion to Colonial Williamsburg one day and it was just under an hours drive. We tend to try different destinations each year but Tranquility is on the top of my saved list! Quiet Family Beach Week

This house was simple, but the location is ideal, especially if you like a quiet, low-key beach getaway. While there are other house on the beach and it might not always happen, we had the cove to ourselves all week. I'm sure there are never more than a handful of families on this private beach. We had nice walks towards the lighthouse and even had family photos taken.

Great location!

We chose this property for the great location and private beach and we were not disappointed. We enjoyed peaceful walks up the Natural Preserve shore and absolutely beautiful sunrises. Great spot for kayaking or floating on a raft with kids. The house was cozy and kitchen well equipped. The layout of the upstairs bedrooms is unusual, but we made it work.

Amazing!!!

This was my family’s second stay here and my Pennsylvania family’s first stay. It was amazing! Perfect getaway for the week. We were on the beach everyday and loved every minute of it. Even getting caught in the rain! The host was very quick to respond to messages and very friendly! You won’t regret staying here!

Very quiet and secluded

The property was adequate for our family of 6 adults. The upstairs would be ideal for a family with small children, since there is less privacy, but we made the best of it. The property is very secluded, and I think our late summer vacation made it even more so. The nicer restaurants were closed during the week. We ate in nearly every meal, which in the end suited us fine. The weather during our week was extremely hot! The a/c in the house was amazing and made our stay very comfortable. We anchored 2jet skis in the bay and that worked out quite well. Finding a boat ramp was challenging but finally we discovered a public ramp on Rt. 608.

Wonderful vacation spot

This home was perfect for a peaceful vacation. The neighborhood is small and private and the house was spacious for our family trip (all adults). The beach access could not be beat- private beachfront, no crowds, and clean, calm water. We rented paddle boards and enjoyed walks on the beach/nature preserve. As previous reviewers noted, the upstairs layout of the house is something to be aware of (needing to walk through master to get to other rooms, no door leading to master from downstairs) but was not at all a bother for us. The bright sunrise each morning was beautiful and welcomed. The owners were easy to reach and very helpful leading up to and during our stay. Highly recommend this rental and we hope to return some day!

Away from it all

Such a lovely escape! We had the beach to ourselves with the exception of occasional neighbors who were incredibly kind. The water and waves were perfect for our two toddlers. It was our first trip away since the pandemic began and just the break we needed—also gave us peace of mind to arrive at such a clean house.

Great beach access and quiet location

We stayed at this home for a week in June. We were looking for a "socially distanced" vacation and this home worked well. The house location is just as described and only steps from a very nice beach with sand and a shallow entry which was perfect for our family. The beach was never crowded - we had as much space as we wanted. The kids loved the cove area and it is fairly well protected from the bay so easy to swim in and had mild waves (except for the few days it was storming and there were high winds!) We walked down to the point several times and enjoyed the beautiful views. The house is comfortable, but as other reviews have noted the upper floor bedroom layout is a little funky. The back two bedrooms have a large opening with no door in between them, and the only access to the back two rooms is by walking through the front master bedroom. The master bedroom also do not have a door between the room and the stairs, so if anyone is downstairs in the living area the noise travels up the stairs quite easily. This was not an issue for our relatively small party of 6 as we were all close family, but is worth noting for other groups. We enjoyed the large screen porch with a big table and chairs when the weather was warm enough to eat outside, but we found eating inside to be a tight squeeze as there were only four chairs and a small table. The kitchen is a good size and the living room furniture was new and comfortable.
