Starfish Cottage är den perfekta platsen att koppla av för din nästa resa. Beläget i Pierpont-området i Ventura som ligger strax väster om 101 motorväg mellan San Buenaventura State Park och The Marina. Detta idealiska läge erbjuder det bästa av Ventura.

Cykel spår tar dig längs havet vägar till Santa Barbara eller öst till Ojai. Restauranger ligger inom gångavstånd från The Starfish. Marinaen har den bästa bikiniaffären tillsammans med väl etablerade restauranger.

Huvud över motorvägen till gamla downtown Ventura för en bra shopping eller middagsupplevelse. Kolla in sälja butiker, vinbarer och bara alla underbara lokalt ägda företag.

Stugan köket har allt du behöver för matlagning. Vår stora uteplats är bekväm och rymlig. Vårt hem ligger på norra sidan - eller soliga sidan av banorna - så du får gott morgonbris och eftermiddagssol.

Steg utanför ytterdörren för mindre än 2 minuters promenad till stranden. Alla Pierpont körfält slutar på State Beach.

Vi har nyligen köpt en helt ny king size-säng för sovrummet. Det andra sovrummet har en uppsättning super bekväma enkelsängar. Det finns en helt ny drottning bäddsoffa och en extra singel aerobed (om någon behöver en extrasäng). Alla sängkläder är 6-400 count bomullslakan med duntäcken, kast och filtar för din komfort.

En utomhusdusch är tillgänglig för att tvätta sanden av dig själv och dina kostymer innan du går in. En liten mängd sand kan täppa till rören och avloppet.

Köket är helt fyllt med rätter (inomhus och ute) för dina behov. Vi har en brödrost, crock potten, Vitamix, kaffekokare, Mocca Master Kaffekanna, kryddor, kryddor och allt i kylskåpet är gratis att använda.

Alla strandartiklar lagras i The Tuff Shed bakom östra porten. Cyklar kan lagras bakom den låsta porten. Skurken är full av badhanddukar, stolar, paraplyer och andra strandartiklar som du inte behöver packa.

Perfect getaway!

Cottage was super clean , beautifully landscaped and really comfortable and quiet. Close enough to walk to the beach, great fire pit and yard for hanging out.

Cute cottage

The cottage is small, but nice and cozy. We had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of hot water. We were lucky to have nice weather and really enjoyed our stay.

Perfect house for family get away

Beach stay

We loved every minute of our Ventura stay! Location is close to the beach and the Pierpoint neighborhood. A short drive has you in downtown Ventura but everything you need is walking diatance.

Beautiful garden space perfect for coffee, a glass of wine, or enjoying a meal while watching kids play in enclosed private yard. Had all the amenities we needed.. great stay!

Location. Location. Location.

Starfish cottage is an easy place to settle into. It is a 2 minute walk to the beach and within a drive of a few minutes of downtown and the harbor. The cottage is fantastic, clean, well-stocked and just a fun and relaxing place to be. Spent 6 nights with my wife and 2 kids and we are already excited to go back. Bunnie, the host, is fantastic to communicate with and she takes pride in the cottage and the area- and it shows throughout the cottage and the overall experience of being in Pierpont. Can’t wait to get back to Ventura!!

Loved it all except the weather

Perfect cozy cottage with all the amenities necessary for a great beach getaway. Extra bathroom is a great luxury and the backyard space with plenty of chairs is a real bonus. On top of that a shed full of stuff to play with and you've got everything. Even though we had one of the fiercest rainstorms I've ever encountered, we stayed nice and dry inside with no flooding or pooling of water outside either. We will be back when we attempt our trip to the Channel Islands again.

Walk to surf Fabulous beach house

This place was perfect for our family! Its a 2 bedroom with a place you can have a 3rd bed if you need it - really nice backyard for our dogs, walking distance to the beach every morning and night with a dog friendly beach - even some surf!! It was a really nice cozy fun spot to cook in with a nice center island and attached dining area - we had a blast! Highly recommended also because the host was amazing and responsive. I would choose to go back to Ventura just to stay at this spot! Thanks.

Starfish Beach Cottage

We totally enjoyed our stay at this lovely 2 bedroom cottage. The home is super comfortable and the kitchen is stocked with everything needed to make great meals. The backyard is a peaceful oasis and a perfect place to BBQ and relax. Our pup also felt very much at home here! Bunnie is an excellent host and a great person. I forgot my special chiropractic pillow and Bunnie went out of the way it have it returned to me. We highly recommend staying at this beautiful beach house and will definitely be back!

This is the PERFECT beach cottage!

The house is decorated nicely and the kitchen is well stocked. We had everything we needed and Paddi made sure we knew we could call at anytime for anything. The beds were extremely comfortable! The backyard is very private and a great place to hang and read, eat a meal or sit around the fire-pit at night. The grocery store, bike shop and great places to eat are within a few blocks, easy to walk to. We rode on wonderful bike trails and the Park at the Marina is beautiful. We hope to make it an annual vacation!!

The Pierpont area has so much to offer at such a fabulous location. Biking, running, walking and just hanging at the beach seem too good to be true. You will find yourself wanting to come back year after year to this truly wonderful town.

We have a personal connection to the area as our grandkids attend Pierpont School and get to skateboard, scooter or bike to school every day. Having family living just up the street adds to our pleasure of owning in Pierpont.

We love opening our home to our guests so they can fall in love with the area just like we did. There is something magical about going out your front door and having sand under your feet in less than 2 minutes. Whether you are having coffee in the morning or wine while watching the sunset, your stress will just float away.

Varför värden valde detta boende

We feel so fortunate to have found one of the original cottages from the 1950's. The history of the area fascinated us. The Keys area which is adjacent to Pierpont used to be a small airport until the 60's. Pierpont was actually all dunes in the 50's just like the ones you will see at the beach. Developers decided to flatten the dunes and build the small cottages, but Mother Nature didn't like that idea. To this day the winds rebuild the dunes which you will get to experience for yourself exploring the area. Walk or bike to the pier and check out Surfer's Point, Seaside Park (where the State Fair is in August) and the Amtrak station.

Ventura's downtown area has restaurants, resale shops, wine bars, music and much more. There is a farmer's market downtown every Saturday and one at the mall on Wednesdays. The Ventura Mall has lots of shops including Macy's, Trader Joes, Bev Mo and much more. Over on the east side of the 101 off Telephone road is Barnes & Noble, Pier One, Kohl's and a strip of eateries. On the west side of the 101 is Target, BBB, Winco Grocery, local restaurants and a great wine bar. Just off Main close to downtown is Peet's Cafe for the best breakfast in Ventura. Our property is modeled after what we have personally enjoyed when we rent vacation homes. The thought "I wish we thought of that or we should do that" has been incorportated into our vacation home.
