Always our favorite vacation rental

We’ve stayed at this absolutely perfect “beach” house on the point for numerous years. It has all the amenities, gorgeous view and a fantastic renter who ensures a wonderful relaxing stay by going above and beyond.

Wonderful Week!

The Latimer Point community is so isolated yet warm. My 3 year old daughter spent her days at the small playground and the very well maintained beach. You can tell everyone takes pride in keeping the point beautiful. The house provided more than we could ever need. Lots of very thoughtful touches and plenty of room for everyone to enjoy. Thank you Jim and Margee!

Wonderful stay

Stayed with my wife and brother and sister in law. Cottage is beautiful and view is even better. Overlooks fishers island and sits a top of a hill so from large deck you can see so much. A large bedroom upstairs w a king bed and 2 twins and a smaller bedroom downstairs w a queen bed. A half bath up and full bath downstairs. Large beautiful kitchen and we cooked out on grill several nights. Great area and close to fresh seafood market and restaurants in mystic or stonington. Our hosts were extraordinary and margee answered any questions we had. A small private beach is just a few steps away and we fished off the boat docks each day w some success. We never knew how beautiful this area was. Would love to come back again We can’t thank margee and jim enough for opening up their cottage to us.

Fabulous!

The Charron house is situated in a quiet neighborhood of Latimer Point with a wrap-around deck overlooking the water (located on a small hill with flights of steps leading to the residential boat launch area and to the small private sandy beaches); the house is surrounded with lots of shrubs and bushes for additional privacy. It was so pleasant and peaceful to sit out on the front deck enjoying the view with the help of the sun awning. We were impressed by the thoughtful and well-stocked pantry and kitchen with ALL items needed for successful food preparation; the place was IMMACULATE and it looked as if someone just finished washing every window. The beds were comfortable and we all slept well. There is a BigY market nearby on Route 1 as well as lots of restaurants in Stonington and Mystic. Thanks for sharing your lovely home!

Wonderful Getaway!

We had a wonderful getaway at this lovely home. The owner, Margee, was very easy to communicate with and was flexible on our dates and timing. This house exceeded our expectations. It is beautifully decorated inside and it has everything we could have needed for the trip (so we definitely overpacked this time). The deck, of course, is perfection. We all enjoyed sitting out there, at all times of the day, enjoying the view. Latimer Point was adorable. We had fun walking around the little neighborhood and the kids enjoyed the beach and fishing off of the docks. It was also a great central location to Mystic and other area attractions. We'd love to visit again!

Fantastic Little Beach Cottage

This cottage was perfect for our family of four. The place was very clean and it had all the amenities for a relaxing week on Fishers Island Sound. A small beach is near the cottage and the boat launch made launching the kayaks really easy. There’s a great restaurant right at the end of the road and the supermarket is very close by if you need to restock on supplies. Mystic is just a few minutes away and R.I. beaches are about twenty minutes from the cottage.

Amazing gem in Eastern CT!

Perfect for our young family, quite secluded peninsula with plenty to do without having to leave. Private beach was great for the kids and the crabbing had them giggling for hours :) Margee was an incredible host and we will definitely be back!

Fantastic stay!

What a fantastic stay we had. The cottage was beautifully renovated, kitchen was huge and the VIEW. Oh my! The view from the deck was tremendous. Latimer Point is great, with the 2 beaches and lots to do. But also plenty for those who just want to kick back and relax. Thank you!!!

Great vaca spot for family or friends group!

This is a great spot. Far enough to stay away from the probable chatter on busier beach days (likely weekends) and Mystic crowds, yet close enough to absorb amazing ocean views and sweet breezes. We loved it for our family and the owner provided us with more than what we expected. If we travel back to the area we will be back here as well!

Perfect 👌

This is our second time staying at this wonderful place. The house has everything you could need. Margee and her family have put alot of time and love to assure of this. It is located in such a beautiful place. The house is close to the touristy spots in Mystic as well as the supermarket. The views from the common living space are fantastic. We will be back again for sure!

Perfect Getaway ..

Our family absolutely loved being here. We felt right at home immediately. It had everything we needed, the space was comfortable and updated...The kitchen had all the amenities we needed and more.The beds were very comfortable, house was over all cozy. Playground and beach area kept everyone laughing and enjoying time together. The owners were amazing and made every effort to make sure we were happy in our stay including a basket of goodies for the children and snacks. We look forward to returning and highly recommend this rental!

Perfect get away... with out a long road trip!

Everything was beautifully laid-out, very clean and the arena was quiet! The beach was an easy walk, with the nice play scape for kids. And the owners thought of every detail for a easy get away!

Great cottage with gorgeous views of Long Island Sound. Very clean and fully equipped. A revisit a m

Even though the weather was a challenge On a day or two of rain we enjoyed reading , relaxing by the water and watching a lovely thunder and lightening storm. Location of cottage was very close to town. It is fully equipped with many thoughtful inclusions for snacks, coffee and bathroom necessities. The owner was very helpful with all our questions and made us feel welcome . Don’t miss this lovely cottage in a charming waterfront community with a private beach.. A lovely spot to return to in CT.

Relaxing and enjoyable vacation stay!

This place was comfortable and relaxing with great views of the ocean even from inside the house. There is plenty of room and the front deck was a great place to spend time. Easy walk to swimming and playground and short drive to grocery store and dozens of great restaurants in Stonington and Mystic. Margee does a great job preparing the place for everything you would need for a great vacation.

great vacation

the house was perfectly located 5 minutes from downtown mystic and 5 minutes to old mystic village. there were also several restaurants and a grocery store all within a few minutes of the house. it had great views of the ocean. sitting on the deck looking out on to the water was fabulous. it was located in a private community with it's own private community beach and playground and large field which was great for kids. the owners went above and beyond to make us feel like guests in their home. i was contacted prior to arrival asking if i needed anything in particular for my visit. the owners thought of every little detail in the house. for example, we brought popcorn with us but forgot chip clips. the owners had a basket full. i would without hesitation stay at this house again. we already told family and friends about our stay and they are looking in to possibly booking time there as well.

A lovely little place just outside of Mystic

Our family of five was perfectly cozy in this cottage on the ocean. The mornings were beautiful and quiet in this little cottage community. Our host called on our arrival day to make sure we didn't need anything else, and to make sure we got in safely! We spent three nights here, and it was the perfect place for our getaway!

Awesome home on the water

Relaxing

The cottage is very comfortable and cozy, nicely furnished and has a well-stocked kitchen. The views from the living room are spectacular. Margee was a wonderful host and left fruit, cheese, crackers and bottles of water in the refrigerator. She also gave me a mug for my birthday (This trip was for my birthday weekend.) The cottage is exactly as pictured. The outside deck has plenty of furniture and we enjoyed our dinners outside. My grandchildren loved being able to walk to the beach and playground. The community is pretty and safe. The bed in the downstairs bedroom is really a small queen and coming from a king size bed, it took getting used to. Also, the mattress was a bit hard, but overall, we enjoyed the experience and I would definitely rent here again.
