This is the second time we have stayed in this condo and 4th time we have stayed at Kona Makai! We love it and will definitely be back! This place has everything you could need to make a dinner in and have a cozy night or is very close to a lot of great restaurants! We love just being able to stay in the condo and make food and relax after a fun day. HighlyRecommend.

Beatiful place to stay!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This room felt cozy with the clean fresh carpet and huge fluffy couch. The bed was extremely comfortable and the pillows and sheets were great quality. It was nice to have everything we needed and even things we didn't know we needed, like an additional fan, fun beach equipment, and a cooler! The view was insanely beautiful 😍. Perfect location, easy walk to the shops. There is even a trolly down the road that comes every hour if you don't want to walk as far. The landscape is picture perfect. I have stayed in several other rooms at Kona Makai, all of which are absolutely lovely. This room just felt more homey. I will be returning for sure.

Responsive! And that's what you want because things happen.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: AC broke. Well, we arrived and it never got cool so I'm going to say it never worked. We slept one sweaty night and realized we could text someone about the issue. They got right back to us and we had new AC units by that afternoon in the bedroom and also in the living room. The rest of the stay was very comfortable and I was so grateful someone got back to us and resolved the issue. This is what I'll remember. But also, everything was nice, clean, and comfortable :)

Would definitely stay again!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property was so beautiful and well maintained. The unit was a bit on the older side but very clean and well maintained. We loved that it was on the first floor, no having to log everything up a. Inch of stairs but we still had a view of the ocean from our lanai. We could not ever get the moving area a/c to flow cold air, but the bedroom one worked really well and that’s really all that mattered to us.

wonderful stay

Stayed in June and had a wonderful time. The unit was clean and perfect for us! Nice view and well maintained grounds. Nice pool and hot tub area. Nice seating area on the water where you can walk on the rocks and see everything. You can even snorkel off the rocks on a calm morning! Mahalo

Perfect Location

Our condo had everything we needed and communication with the property owners was excellent. The setting is absolutely beautiful and close to everything in Kona. Can’t wait to come back!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We rented the one bedroom apartment for a full week and had an amazing time! It had everything we needed, even if a few features felt outdated, all were full functional. The sofa was what I like to call a couch hole, something so good you NEVER want to leave. We used the free books, the pool and hot tub, and walked down to the rocky coast several times. The bed was great, place was clean, and I wish we'd grilled out, but we aren't cooks lol.The staff was amazing. Quick responses to questions, and maintenance came same day for one weird noise we were hearing (turns out was a different unit lol!) And got it all sorted quickly.Would go back in a heartbeat.

Comfortable, convenient, relaxing, beautiful atmosphere. Perfect getaway. Appreciated that there was plenty of kitchenware and outdoor grills as well as beach gear. Would definitely recommend!

People are friendly around the pool and lounge area. The only odd thing I thought was the amount of consumables. I didn’t plan on going on vacation and having to buy toilet paper, garbage bags, aluminum foil, spices, etc...Talking with other owners all that is provided. Pots and pans are very outdated as-well. I’m not really complaining just saying little things like that matter to a person who’s on vacation not running errands for basic household necessities.

Perfect location

Overall the property was perfect for us, the complex is geared to older people and so was very quiet. The views from the shared patio bbq space were amazing. Husband had good snorkeling off the rocks right at the condo. A few things different than our usual stays at other vacation rentals- no extras left in the cupboard, they only stocked 2 rolls of TP and 1 paper towel roll, a few laundry and dishwasher pods. Not a big deal, just different. Beach supplies- beach towels, 2 boogie boards, a noodle and some sand toys.
