MALLARD COTTAGE är ett utmärkt ställe för par att spendera kvalitetstid tillsammans bort från vardagens stress. Det är också mycket populärt bland smekmånad och par som vill fira speciella evenemang som bröllopsdagar.

BESKRIVNING AV EGENDOM
Denna söta lilla stuga med välvda stolpar och tak i taket renoverades år 2015. Det har ett välutrustat kök och ett kaklat badrum med dusch och hårtork. Sovrummet har en queen size-säng och en dörr som leder till den rymliga wrap around däck som har en fantastisk utsikt över Robert Treman Park mot Ithaca.
Det finns en utdragbar soffa i vardagsrummet för en tredje person.
Höghastighetsinternet och en 32-tums TV-skärm med ljudfält för streaming av filmer och musikspelning är tillgängliga.
Däcket är utrustat med en liten gasgrill, fåtöljer och matsal med parasoller
Välskötta och socialt anpassade husdjur är välkomna. Hundar måste vara hundvänliga och folkvänliga. De kan vandra runt våra lokaler, släppa in i dammen och springa på vår stora gräsmatta.
Mallard Cottage drivs av solenergi och gröna metoder observeras aktivt.
Utforska de många aktiviteter som finns inom en radie på 10 mil eller ... bara koppla av på däck och njut av den vackra utsikten!

First visit to the Finger Lakes

We were excited to find this gem of a property that also welcomes pets. It was our first visit to the Finger Lakes and we got to see some of the highlights (Watkins Glen, Buttermilk Falls, wineries) within easy driving distances. We will happily stay here again.

Perfect cozy cottage

Spent a relaxing long weekend at Mallard Cottage. Peaceful atmosphere, well appointed with the necessities, and two cute pups greeting us at arrival and again at various points throughout our stay. We’ll be back!

Mallard Cottage is a gem!

We had a wonderful stay at the Mallard Cottage. Views from the deck were spectacular, witnessed a full moon rising in the East and delighted in the beautiful end of day light glowing in the fields below. The cottage was bright and airy with several windows affording views and natural light. Clean and cozy and had everything we could possibly need. .

Great location - very restful and beautiful but close to lots to see

We so enjoyed our stay with Inez and Tom - best hosts ever. There when you needed them but privacy when you wanted it. Beautiful location and Inez’s gardens are stunning. Two friendly golden retrievers was icing on the cake for our Labrador - a truly dog friendly place.

Tranquil oasis

The setting and view are beautiful. The owners were friendly and accommodating. Our dogs had lots to explore . The cottage is charming and comfortable. This was a tranquil and pleasant getaway.... highly recommend!

Beautiful & Serene

Beautiful area quiet and serene. Dogs were cute Inez was very nice. Our private deck was so nice to sit and eat or drink coffee. The house and outside was perfect for my partner and I. We would def choice again. Convenient to the best waterfalls (Robert Treman Park and stone bend was a mile away w great wood fire pizza.

Beautiful spot!

We had a great time staying at the cottage. Inez was super welcoming and flexible with our late arrival time. Th property was stunning and within easy driving distance to several great hiking trails and downtown Ithaca. We especially loved our welcome crew Floyd and Sadie!

Relaxing & quiet stay

Terrific location - near many parks as well as Ithaca, and beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. Cottage was just the right size for two people. Owners were very responsive to our requests & inquiries.

Our stay at the Mallard Cottage

Beautiful. cozy, clean, relaxing Cottage. The cottage location was close to everything on our agenda. Tom, Inez, and their beautiful dogs Sally and Floyd were wonderful hostees. My daughter had an amazing time. Thank you, Tom and Inez we will see you soon.

Wonderful cottage!

Inez & Tom were welcoming and incredibly helpful with tips for local activities. Our pup loved playing with Sally & Floyd and the cottage was the perfect spot for a getaway. We will definitely be back!

Seriously, Dog Friendly

If you are looking for a place to bring your dogs, this is truly dog friendly. Comfortable and adorable accommodations. You will find everything you need for a comfortable stay. A beautiful deck to enjoy and the scenery is plentiful. The owners are so accommodating and their dogs will be waiting for your arrival. We cannot wait to return in the summer months.

Mallard Cottage

The cottage is cozy and lovely! The fireflies were pretty spectacular and you dogs were a lot of fun! The location is great for hiking adventures and visiting the area’s waterfalls and state parks. Overall it was a wonderful bucolic respite from city.

Peaceful Anniversary Getaway

Peaceful and quiet

We very much enjoyed our stay at Mallard Cottage. Inez and Tom are very welcoming as are their two dogs. It’s a quiet country retreat but is close to Wegman’s and several restaurants as well as Buttermilk Falls and Treman State Park. Our dog loved the time he spent at the cottage and definitely gives it a 5 dog bone rating!

Pretty and peaceful

Stunning views in every direction, especially the colorful gardens. Good base for exploring wineries, state parks, Ithaca, Finger Lakes in general. Mallard Cottage is very cozy, comfortable, and clean. Tom & Inez work hard to maintain their property and the environment, too.

Lovely and peaceful

My husband and I chose Mallard Cottage for a short Finger Lakes getaway, and enjoyed being able to bring our dog along. The property was just as pictured--beautiful, peaceful setting. It is an eco-friendly property with gorgeous gardens. Inez is a welcoming, low-key host and made us feel right at home. We recommend it highly and hope to return some day.

A lovely respite with our Dogs

We had a lovely stay at Mallard with our two greyhounds. The property is so relaxing, and the owners have thought of everything. The deck is entirely fenced in, so we were able to allow our greyhounds to sun unleashed on the deck. The views were incredible, and our dogs were instant friends with the furry innkeepers. This is also a super green rental, so you can feel good about your vacation.

Mallard Cottage for Cornell visit

Cottage was great for the two of us, along with our dog - who made "friends" with Inez and Tom's dogs, Floyd and Sally. Really great hosts/people, and the setting is beautiful. About 20 min to the Cornell campus; 15 to Downtown.. worked out perfectly. thanks.

I was born in the Netherlands and lived in England and South Africa before moving to the USA in 2006. I studied biodynamic agriculture and specialized in cheese making.
I have been living in the Finger Lakes since June 2013 and love the wide variety of activities that this region has to offer.
I met Tom soon after moving here. He was born in Interlaken on Cayuga Lake, studied physical education and lived in 10 different states for over 30 years until he returned to the Finger Lakes in 2007.
Is he happy to be back home? "Yes, there is no place like it!!"
We enjoy the natural beauty that surrounds us on a daily basis and are happy to be able to share this wealth with other people.

We fell in love with this property which dates from 1846 the moment we saw it on line. We love the beautiful peaceful surroundings and the close proximity to everything this area has to offer. Ithaca has an international vibe due to Cornell and Ithaca College and there are sooo many things to do and enjoy in the local surroundings!!

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

A GREAT spot for nature lovers:We are surrounded by nature and keep seeing new bird species and other wild life.
We have turned 5 acres of our property into a MONARCH BUTTERFLY SANCTUARY which can be seen and visited from the cottage. During the month of July the field is lit up by millions of fire flies, a light show which rivals the distant city lights of Ithaca!

We live in the Manor House which is also situated on this property. It dates from 1846 and we have turned it into a small B&B offering two double rooms. So if you want to bring more friends and/or family we can put them up…..
