Life in Gruene

Our family had a wonderful time staying at "Life in Gruene". The listing, pictures, and description were just as they described. The house fit all of our needs, and the kids had a wonderful time making smores, playing ping pong, and playing in the river. There is so much to see and do around this house that none of our family was bored. Thank you again for a wonderful stay! Would highly recommend this house for a family.

Family Vacation

Really enjoyed the house. This is the second time we have stayed here. Only complaint is that the BBQ pit did not work. Burners only turned on about 10% of them and we had to cook burgers and dogs inside. Question, I read somewhere that if we booked directly thru you we would save 20%, is that correct. If it is please provide details as to how we go about that and the calendar of the available dates.

Fantastic

Everything was amazing. There was plenty of room for everyone to sleep and hang out. The only thing I can say it needs is bigger pots and pans for cooking for large groups.

High School Buddies Weekend

This house was perfect for a group of 12 guys. Large kitchen with plenty of cookware, plenty of beds, many places to hang out and relax, adequate parking and nice bathrooms. The river frontage is scenic and has easy access. And, of course, you can't beat the location with proximity to Gruene and New Braunfels. We will definitely be back.

Great location

This accommodated a large group. House was clean enough, however, a lot of cobwebs outside on porches and walkways. Would’ve been nice to have a little bit more wood for the fire pit. We were in for a work retreat so definitely more suitable for late spring and summer activities. Right next to the tube pick ups and not too far from Gruene Hall.

Magnificent House and Property!!

I invited 17 of our closest friends to surprise my husband on his birthday. The house was so amazing and he loved the surprise, especially with all our friends! We visited My Lady Bar and went to Gruene Hall to listen to one of his favorite bands. The house is laid out so well that we never felt squashed. I could not imagine a more spectacular property as well. The fire pit area was so relaxing, and we enjoyed two fires in the evenings. We met the owner and she is amazing as well! We will definitely go back to this property, maybe for my birthday this May! We just loved being there! Thank you so much for such a wonderful vacation and birthday celebration!

Comfortable and Welcoming

Very comfortable house and felt just like home with the Christmas decorations and every room tastefully decorated. We loved the outdoor space, listening to the water and watching the deer. We will stay here again!

Perfect location

Had 4 adults and 4 children, two 13 year olds, two 12 year olds and 4 adults. It was perfect for us but could not have done more comfortably. Kitchen is well equipped. Would definitely come back. Location is amazing. On the rockn r route if you want to pit stop.

The property is beautiful, clean, and has all the amenities needed to enjoy a fun family getaway. The stairs are a littel tiring but the porch area underneath is alot of fun. Fantastic location!

Unbeatable location

This property was a fantastic choice for our large family including young children. Plenty of space and the two casitas were perfect for those who wanted more privacy. River access was amazing and back patio was lovely.

Great House!

The house was the perfect size for us and the location was great. Our only complaint is that the hot water did not work in the upstairs bathroom, and there was no central air in the small bedroom on the first floor.

Awesome! However, there was a little mouse who wad quite the host! He came from the laundry room and is quite familiar with the kitchen. He peeked out every now and then to check on us, lol. Just wanted you to know. We really enjoyed our stay!

Great spot for family and friends

Wonderful get away, beautiful and scenic property, indoors a bit tricky for larger groups to gather with limited seating but the really wonderful part of this property sits outside not inside. A bit silly to charge $20 for bundles of wood for fire pit but hey, if you can get it go for it!

Awesome property! Right on the river and within walking distance to town. Large open kitchen with lots of amenities. Lots of beds. Only negative was not enough showers for the number of beds. Our family really enjoyed our stay!
