Denna plats ger dig vila och avkoppling efter alla dina aktiviteter! Ca 60 miles från Grand Canyon Entré. Skål satellit-TV 139 kanaler med sportpaket, bra mobiltelefon service. Du kommer att köra på 4 ml av grusväg för att komma hem, väl underhållen av länet, landsbygden, men hemmet ligger i ett grannskap med några grannar som är tunnland. Du kommer att älska lugn och ro och friska luften. Det finns 2 butiker ca 5 miles away som serverar mat och har gas och mat. 17 miles till Flagstaff, 14 miles till Williams, 40 miles till Sedona. Sovrummet har king size-säng och bifogat badrum, 2: a sovrummet är en queen size-säng, 3: e sovrummet har våningssäng med dubbelsäng på botten och tvilling på toppen. Det finns ett bonusrum med 2 enkelsängar, samt 2 fullstora luftmadrasser i garderoben. 2 tunnland gård är inhägnad för dina hundar! Fire pit och BBQ grill också !!

This is a well used family home, it’s clean and comfortable and has everything we needed. The fenced in area was great, and having the small lake down the road to walk to was fantastic. It’s very easy to get to both Williams and Flagstaff. The host responded quickly when we had questions.

Grand Canyon/Sedona trip

Great home base for day trips to the Grand Canyon and Sedona. The area is peaceful, and the home was perfectly comfortable for us. The boys loved the yard - tire swing, swing set and trampoline we’re great after long drives. Would definitely recommend!

Amazing stay!

My family stayed and were so pleased when we arrived. The home is situated in a semi-isolated neighborhood where the scenery, sunrises, and sunsets were stunning. The quiet solitude was perfect. Our favorite feature of the home was it's wood burning stove. It warmed the home and provided an opportunity for our family to gather together more. The town of Parks is nearly equidistant between the Grand Canyon and Sedona, so we easily visited both cities and their attractions. The hosts provided everything we needed, which was helpful as out-of-state visitors. The hosts responded to all communication quickly and answered any questions I had. If we ever were to visit the area again, we would choose to stay here.

Outdoor heaven

My family and I had the greatest time at this Parks location. It is close to Williams and Flagstaff. The remote feature...if you are a star gazer, this place is for you. My eight year old granddaughter rated this location five stars. The best feature is that the location is close to the forest preserve and the hiking trail is great. My dogs gave that a five wags rating. If I plan another trip for Northern Arizona, I will use this location again.

Great home for Grand Canyon Visit

The house was large enough for all of us to spread out after spending the whole day together. We had our 4 daughters and a large dog. The bed were comfortable and the owner was quick to respond to any questions. We spent one evening just sitting and watching the grown children jumping and swinging and the dog running around. It is so quiet. I was worried about the dirt roads after reading some reviews, but it was not a big deal and we were driving an RV. Highway 64 up to the entrance of the park is easy drive. I did not like I-40 only had to be on that for a short time frame.

Peace and quiet

Wonderful home to stay in while visiting Grand Canyon and other area attractions. There is plenty of room in the house. Anything you can think of is provided, the only things you need to bring are your clothes. The stars are amazing and watching the hummingbirds on the deck was so relaxing. The drive back on the gravel road was very scenic, we saw lots of elk. I only saw one neighbor mowing their grass so maybe not mowing the grass is an Arizona thing, but the grass was so long that the kids couldn’t play in the fenced in yard, that is the only negative thing. Will stay here again when in the area. Thank you Chris for a wonderful experience.

good location

We wanted a rural cabin, the location was perfect. The property was extremely difficult to find because the address was very small and inconspicuous. In addition, the VRBO picture of the property is the view from the back yard, not the view from the front street or side street, therefore if you are driving around looking for the house in the picture, you will not see it from the road. The mosquitos were unbearable, thousands swarming at all times (even in full sun) day and night, there is no way to escape them, many even got inside the house despite our best efforts to keep them out, be sure to bring a lot of repellant. We all (humans and dogs) left with many bites even though we were all wearing mosquito spray. There is no wifi and cellular service does not work in the house but it did work if you go for a drive down the road. The house was very clean. There were a lot of hummingbirds and that was very nice, we would have liked to sit outside and watch them but could not do that without being attacked by mosquitos. It was nice to wake up to roosters crowing and to have a large fenced yard so the dogs could run and play. We rented a home in a rural area where we could enjoy the outdoors for a long weekend, and this home had all the enjoyable qualities but the mosquito problem made it impossible to be outside, so we spent most or our time indoors and that was quite disappointing.

White Christmas

This property is a hidden gem in Parks, Arizona. The posted pictures do not serve it justice. The inside of this home is gorgeous. We stayed for the Christmas weekend with our three grown children and their families (including 3 small children) and two dogs. We had plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the weekend. The kitchen was well stocked and we had everything we needed. (And the local mercantile had the corn we forgot to bring.) We even found a child's shopping cart in the closet which just happens to be one of our 18 month old grandson's favorite toys. He pushed it all over the house all weekend. The back yard is HUGE and completely fenced which allowed the dogs room to romp and play. Christmas Eve we received several inches of snow. We had been informed ahead of time that the road would be plowed and sure enough, early Christmas morning we saw the plows out. A kind gentleman even came and helped plow out the generous parking area in the front. We had no problem getting back to the highway the next morning. The only problem we had was the snow knocked out the satellite TV. We were able to pull a vehicle up close and use a broom to knock off the snow and "problem solved". I am sure all our family members would say this was probably one of our best Christmas's ever. Thank you Chris for helping make some precious memories!

Cute and quiet getaway

Very cute and quiet neighborhood. The house is welcoming and had plenty of space for all eleven of our group! Everything you might need for a stay away from home! The Scholz lake is a nice little walk away, lots of birds and wildlife to look at along the walk. The property manager is quick to respond with any questions you might have, and it was just a short drive to all the local activities. We had a wonderful stay

Home on the Range

We had a wonderful time with our 4 grandkids and dog at this cute home in a remote area. It was definitely a family home and well broken in, but perfect for us. Comfortable and charming, there were large open spaces around the small neighborhood and we saw a her of antelope. The all important WIFI worked perfectly, so the kids were very happy on their pads. The host, Chris, was very responsive and we had no difficulties.

Great location

The house sat on two fenced acres which was mostly why we picked it. Our dog loved the freedom to run around. The walk to the lake was gorgeous and peaceful. The house had what we needed, as others have mentioned, it’s older so keep that in mind if you need fancy brand new interiors. It was exceptionally clean and just great for our escape from the Vegas heat.

Spacious and great for our dogs

The house was nice and clean and good size for us, our three teens and dogs. The large yard is fenced and our dogs could have stayed out there all day! My teens didn’t quite appreciate it as much because of the no wi-fi. We have AT&T and I was hoping for better service but it was hit and miss to say the least. Next time we’ll just leave the teens at home! Lol

Perfect Family Location

We had a great stay at Chris's property. Almost everything we needed was available in the home. The only thing we found would be helpful is a measuring cup (there could have been one and I just did not find it) and a clearer address visible from the street. We recommend this property and are considering booking a stay over the summer.

Great Time Well Spent

First of all, Chris was excellent at communication. Their location gives you the off grid feeling, but still close to some services. According to the property info the lake was said to be a 10min walk. However, we rode bikes and it was actually about a 12-15min ride, so we assume walking will be longer. Lastly, if mosquitoes like you, it’s highly recommended to bring repellent in the warm months as they made a feast of us! We thought we were safe in the house, and the last night we noticed an old gash in the kitchen window screen which explained why so many were swarming in the house. All in all, it was still a wonderful experience for people to spend quality time.

My wife and a have been in Flagstaff since we were young, we went to Flagstaff high school. We married and moved to Parks to enjoy the space and beauty. We have 2 small children and both work full time jobs. We moved back to Flagstaff for the kids activities and to be a bit closer to work but could not part with our country home that we love so we decided to share it with others in order to be able to keep it. Flagstaff is only about 20 min from Parks.

We loved the calm and quietness of the country side and simplistic living away from the busy city life.

We wanted space to have pets (they came first) and places for the kids (they were next) to play. We love to garden you will see my glorious Clematis, Columbine, trees and numerous wild flowers. We enjoy to sit by the campfire on a still evening and gaze at the night sky. Fully covered deck with furniture, picnic table, plenty of lawn chairs.
