Nice Beachfront House

Perfect beachfront house in Port Aransas. Everything was as advertised in the photos. The property was clean, extremely comfortable, and the evenings on the patio were perfect.

4 day getaway

The location is perfect. Just steps from the boardwalk. Community pool was nice. The house is beautiful and well kept. We would love to come back.

Great house for families with kids!

Enjoyed our stay! Ate dinners on the patio looking at the ocean:) Kitchen was one of the best stocked I’ve seen. My family is already planning our next trip here!

Peaceful vacation break

My husband and I enjoyed a long weekend at this property. Facing directly to the Gulf, we enjoyed the fresh air, views and easy beach access. The home is wonderfully decorated and set up for an easy break. The kitchen had every utensil we needed. The internet service was not working on the day we arrived, but two maintenance workers came on Sunday morning to fix it so we could watch our church service live streamed. We would return to this property again.

Just as it looks

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Property was just like it looks in the pics. Nothing deceiving. Clean, open spaces, fantastic location right on the beach. Had everything we needed and then some. Even had plenty of sand toys and a gas and charcoal grill. Only slight downside is having to navigate your way through the RV park to get there. It could get confusing at times and had to dodge kids and people walking to the beach, but I did enjoy looking at all the nice RV spots. Book it, you won't regret it.

Another relaxing stay

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It seemed the sand dunes were raised because we could not see as much of the people and carts on the beach like previous years. The house is in good shape and the outdoor furniture had new cushions. Within Gulf Waters I was pulled over by a security guard in a golf cart because he did not see the pass on my dash. Had one issue w beeping smoke alarms and the PAE maintenance crew came and fixed it quickly. We took in Mardi Gras parades in Aransas Pass, North Padre Island and Port A. It was a good stay.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was a family gathering of 21 adults, so we rented 2 houses. The Hacienda was a disappointment. The website listed 3 kings, 1 queen and 2 twins. The house had 2 kings, 1 queen, a full and bunk beds that had a mattress that was pretty much done with a deep hole down the middle on the bottom and the top mattress was very uncomfortable. The bedding caused a real problem for us since the younger adults stayed in this house (ages 19-37)and several were guys over 6' tall. We made it work and the location next to the other house where we all gathered for meals, etc. made it okay. The location of this property is perfect and when I reported the bedding problems when we checked out, Bill at Port A Escapes was very nice and promptly changed the listing. The house was nice and would be perfect as long as you knew going in what the bedding situation was. The kids happily made it work -- after all -- it's the beach and they were only in the house to sleep.

Nice House/Poor Rental Company

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is very much like the pictures. The deck is the highlight of the house. The boardwalk to the beach is literally out the back door. The house is nice but as with most rentals, it needs a good cleaning. There is no closet in the master bedroom. There were lots of beach toys for the little ones. We were there during the cold snap and were very disappointed with Port A Escape. We received texts that there was no water or power which was obvious, but when we tried to contact them they did not respond to phone calls, texts or emails. We were without water and heat for 3 days. The house temperature was 41 degrees. We finally went to the office in town and pounded on the door until someone answered. We ask where we could get water to flush our toilets and they told us there was nothing they could do. The bridges were closed and we didn’t think there was anyway off of the island. We found out we could use the ferry to escape Port A. We did have insurance and got a percentage of our remaining stay refunded. They put the house up for rental again BEFORE power and water was restored.

The beach is in the back yard!

We wanted a property that was as close as possible to the beach and we found it. There was plenty of room, a shared porch to watch the waves, and we had everything we needed in the place.

However, the property could use some tender loving care since there were several maintenance items that needed to be taken care of. The list includes door handles missing, a bathroom pocket door that was stuck open, loose toilet seats, shower rods bent etc. For the price you pay, this rental should be in pristine shape.
