Kayadon 1 anses vara ett välutrustat 2 sovrum, ett badrum unik strandstuga med en öppen konceptdesign. Vi gillar att betrakta det som ett 1. 5 sovrum, hur har du ett halvt sovrum, frågar du? Det utökade vardagsrummet kan delas ut med en glidande vägg för avskildhet för att göra ett halvt sovrum med fullstor minnesskum murphy säng och garderob. Köket innehåller alla helt nya rostfria vitvaror och fönster som öppnas för att skapa en inomhus / utomhus matplats med plats för upp till sex personer. Servera din familj och vänner, precis som en lokal strandbar. Den stora yttre vardagsrummet har gott om bekväma sittplatser för människor som tittar på och njuter av den svala havbrisen. För kvällen ger eldstaden och marknaderna marknader värme och atmosfär. Stugan ligger på La Jolla Blvd. som är aktivt under dagen, men som stannar ner på natten. Om du är en person som är en EXTREMT lätt sovhytt, tillhandahåller vi ljudmaskiner för varje sovrum. Kayadon 1 sover 4 i sängar; beroende på närhet i din grupp kan du kanske passa 1 person till i soffan. Kom ihåg att det kommer att vara mysigt! Long weekend escape

Relaxing getaway

La Jolla was a great getaway. The weather was perfect, so much to do and good places to eat. This property was the perfect place to stay to enjoy it all. I am already planning on booking my next stay!

Great cottage!

We loved our 4 night stay at this cottage! It was immaculately clean and designed smartly. They made efficient use of the space and it was perfect for our family of 3. My daughter enjoyed the murphy bed and the cantina window! The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed. The welcomeBottle of rosé was a nice touch! Beautifully kept grounds. Location was pretty convenient and while there was some noise from the main road, it was pretty quiet at night. I would highly recommend this rental if you’re a couple or small family looking for somewhere to stay in La Jolla!

Cozy place in a great location

We had a great stay here! The place is very cute with lots of amenities including a fully stocked kitchen, dining area, streaming on TV, cozy outdoor space with a grill, boogie boards, chairs, umbrellas and beach toys for kids, and cruiser bikes. There were curling fans and sure conditioning. There was one bedroom and a Murphy bed. The location is great! It's only a few blocks from Windandsea Beach(which is awesome), it's near grocery stores, coffee shops, and several good restaurants. We would love to stay here again!

Lovely cottage near Windansea

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at Kayadon Cottage. The location was perfect, only a couple blocks from Windansea Beach, and a short walk to Pearl St. There was some occasional road noise on La Jolla Blvd, but we slept fine using a sound machine (and I am a very light sleeper). The kitchen and bathrooms were very clean and had everything we needed. The property manager was able to let us check in a few hours early, which was much appreciated. The patio was spacious, charming, and well-kept, and we loved the kitchen windows that opened to let fresh air in. Only minor complaints were the mattress was a bit stiff, and there was very limited counter space in the bathroom. Everything else was wonderful, and all of the instructions from the property manager were very clear. Overall, the cottage was very comfortable and in good condition. If we return to La Jolla, we will be sure to stay there again!

Cute cottage in a great location

My family and I loved staying in this sweet cottage. It’s centrally located with easy access to lots of great places in San Diego and La Jolla, including the beach just a short walk away. The cottage had everything we needed and was sparkling clean. Communication was great too! We’ll be back!

Absolutely Lovely La Jolla Stay

This cute cottage was perfect for a recent mother-daughter trip to the San Diego area! We spent a few days in La Jolla at the cottage and the location was absolutely perfect - quiet neighborhood within walking distance to the water and the shops/restaurants of La Jolla. We loved the outdoor patio and took full advantage of the fire pit in the evenings. It is off a busy road, but this is clear from the listing and didn’t bother us much at all. The cottage was pristinely clean and exactly as advertised! We would recommend it to anyone for a future stay!

Getaway with my hubby

We had an amazing stay. Property is in great shape and has so many extras that made this trip wonderful. We walked to the beach each night for sunset and then sat by the fire pit in the evening! The town is perfect for dinner and checking out sea lions! We will be back for sure. Thank you for sharing this wonderful place with others.

Perfect spot for a family vacation

This place was just perfect!! It's a short, quick walk to the beach. The outdoor space with the fire pit make for perfect evening hangs. The indoor/outdoor kitchen window was a hit-- many passers-by stopped to ask if we were selling coffee or cocktails :) Terri and Michael were communicative, and there were no surprises. So glad we chose this place. Highly recommend it!

Perfect Beach Cottage

Loved this cottage! It even looks better in person and full of surprise amenities. The place was charming, clean, welcoming, and in a great location with lots to walk to. The large lit front yard area with fire pit kept us bringing take out “home”. So relaxing. We definitely plan to return. Communication with the host was perfect.

A little gem

This place is a little gem. The beds including the Murphy were surprisingly comfortable. The kitchen better stocked than most rentals (we've been to our share). Our family did not use the outdoor area as much due to the noise level. And sharing the washer and dryer in the garage proved challenging as the other occupants in the neighboring house were using this most of the time.

Stylish La Jolla digs

Terrific property - very well designed, clean, charming. Also appreciate having plenty of paper products and hand soap ready to go! Owner was very quick to respond to any questions. Owners are also up front about the property being on a busy street (street noise at all hours). This is the only downside - perfect location otherwise with a coffee shop, corner grocery, and beach within walking distance! We thought it was well worth the noise (and they all provide white noise machines!)

Good two weeks here

My husband and I (70+) stayed at this intimate little cottage two weeks, it works. Picturesque neighborhood on way to beach of quaint historic cottages with oval brass plaques designating year built —30s, ‘40s, with original owner names. This home is newer, with above-average decor and appliances, kitchen including baking items, lots of pots/pans & glassware, appreciated. Excellent text communication w/owner, we never met. I requested an electric tea kettle & a toaster, both next day delivery via Amazon. We walked everywhere: La Jolla Village & Cove, grocery store, gelato, sea lions, sunsets. We attended 3 concerts (2 free) at Athenaeum, a Comedy Store show, dined Nine-Ten twice & casual The Promiscuous Fork, favorites. We did drive to Torrey Pines Gliderport to watch the soaring over-the cliff gliders. The nearby public library has a huge section of for-sale good books. Farmer’s Market Sunday morns is local high-end kitchen-crafted gourmet foods, treats, take-home soups, potstickers, and live music, plenty of tables & chairs, all in the sunshine. As reviewers have mentioned this is located on a busy street and steady traffic noise simply unavoidable, weekend evenings esp. We enjoyed our two weeks and now have many good memories of staying in this special well-cared-for cottage in the Bird Rock neighborhood.

Very clean, walkable to ocean, Bird Rock, and downtown La Jolla

My mom, 9 year old daughter and I stayed here for a long weekend. It was small but with good use of the space. Yard was fenced in, well-manicured, and patio furniture clean to use outdoor space comfortably.

Wonderful family-friendly stay!

This cottage is an excellent place to explore the sights of San Diego and the beautiful beaches of La Jolla. Fun restaurants, shops, and coffee spots are within walking distance, and the owners are very communicative. I highly recommend it!

After my husband lost a 5 year battle to cancer, I decided to move from Louisville, KY back to sunny Southern California where I was raised. I bought the Kayadon cottages with a vision to provide an upbeat beachy vibe to vacationers who like to be in the thick of it all! So, I took all my energy and oversaw every detail. I wanted the cottages to be somewhere I would stay. My husband and I have traveled the world and I know what it takes to be comfortable. But honestly, you can't get it all perfect. So, let me share with you the things you should know to make your stay memorable. Where to eat, how to cut down on street noise, the best way to get to the beach, what hours you can take your pet to the beach off leash, etc. I'll share what I know and you can educate me as you learn fun facts, too!

You are truly at a beach bungalow. Hop on your bikes to take a cruise around the neighborhood or to the beach, village or nearby restaurant. The Cottages are well equipped with plenty of movies, games and books. Relax inside or watch the people and the cars go by while sitting on the front porch. It's fun to strike up a conversation with a local as there is plenty of foot traffic heading to the beach. If you're looking for a secluded location, this is not the place for you!

The Kayadon Cottages are small and cozy but efficient with every nook and cranny utilized. The front yard is large and faces La Jolla Blvd. giving guests easy access to everything San Diego has to offer. The house is equipped with all modern amenities and was just newly renovated in 2015.
