This property is outstanding, the location is perfect for both families and single people. The villa is very spacious and is very well kept. I highly recommend this property and the owners, they couldn't have been more helpful in answering question about the island and things to do on the island.

Amazing home in paradise

I can’t say enough about our stay at Frangipani. Our hosts were incredible - very warm, helpful and so knowledgeable about the island. The house was very clean and spacious. The pool was a delight. The residence is located within a few minutes walk of a couple of serene beaches, and not far from amenities, including grocery stores and fantastic restaurants. This place is an oasis. I would definitely stay there again (and again)!

Amazing villa!

My husband and I just returned from a wonderful 2-week stay with our 3 young children at the lovely Frangipani villa in beautiful Barbados. Zena and Irvine were wonderful hosts - communication was very easy and they had excellent recommendations on things to do. They also went above and beyond to make sure we felt safe and comfortable when Hurricane Beryl came through a day after our arrival. I would give the Villa my highest recommendation- it has an amazing layout, beautiful pool, is very clean and well stocked. It was the perfect base for exploring the whole island by car, and also just escape and totally relax. Would love to return! Thanks so much Zena and Irvine!

Barbados Paradise

This property is first class, platinum. Zena is an amazing host and we have VRBO on (5) Caribbean Islands. The utilities, amenities all worry free. The only negative were the neighbors (4) dogs...they like to talk to their neighbor dog friends, just understand that and roll with it.

Holiday in Paradise

Absolutely wonderful stay in an amazing property. It was all it said and more. Real luxury. Loved the house and the pool, jacuzzi and garden. Zena and Irwin being next door was a real plus. Nothing was any bother for them. Only one snag….. we didn’t stay long enough…. Thank you!

Pictures don't do the property the beauty that it truly is !!!

We stayed 3 weeks in March '24. The host were there when we needed them and unseen when we didn't. House is exceptionally decorated with taste. Everything worked seamlessly. The wall clock in the living room stopped working one day, I texted the host and next time I looked it was working again (battery) and we never even saw them do it. Perfect Vacation in every way. Would not hesitate to book with them, period.

Wonderful luxury villa

This property is listed very accurately. The owner has thought of everything you'd possibly need for your stay. The beds and pillows are really comfortable and all furnishings are of a very high standard. The outdoor area is wonderful and very private. You will need a car to explore the Island and for eating out and for grocery shopping for the villa. It's 5 minutes walk to the sea but as it's the East side of the Island it's the Atlantic and not suitable for swimming. However, if beach is your thing getting to the West side of the Island is easy by car and takes less than 30 minutes. There are lots of restaurants for eating out particularly to the West. We particularly enjoyed eating out in St Lawrence/Oistins. The food is delicious. The host Zena is extremely helpful and informative with any queries you have. We thoroughly enjoyed our Barbados holiday.

Holiday with grandchildren 2023

This villa is extremely comfortable. It is a rare example of form matching function, in that, its design makes for a great 'live in' experience, because everything is just as and where you want it to be. The bi-fold doors create the perfect harmony of indoor/outdoor living. During the day it doubles your outdoor play space and in the evening, with the ambient, low level outdoor lighting, it brings the indoor space to the edge of the pool. The 3 bedrooms are ensuite and the finishes are all to a very high standard. The sun is on the pool most of the day and the pool is absolutely lovely. Big enough to swim and play in, of a depth that's safe for children and it has good access with a 'seat' at the far end in order that you can converse with anyone in the jacuzzi. The villa's location is in a quiet, easily accessible cul de sac and, with the villa owner close by, any issues are quickly dealt with. Our 3 grandchildren lived in the pool and, with bi-fold doors also being in-situ in the main bedroom, you can open them and survey the whole area even whilst in bed. Overall the villa was a terrific choice and should we come back to the island we wouldn't hesitate to book it again.

Little Piece of Paradise

We loved this place and would definitely recommend. Zena is a always available to answer questions and make suggestions on dining options, attractions, beaches, etc. She and Irvin were a great help. The well appointed kitchen is such a value add. Eating out - breakfast, lunch and dinner, especially for a family, gets expensive. The kitchen had everything I have in my own kitchen... I mean everything! Super market and other shops just a 5 minute drive away. The living space...OMG! Talk about inside-out living. The whole house is open to the pool and no insects to worry about with the great trade winds blowing. Sun from early morning to early afternoon, put us on a schedule to enjoy the pool in the morning and be tourists in the afternoon. The only thing . the one and only thing that isn't convenient is the proximity to the west coast and its calmer beaches. A rental car is necessary and most touristy things are a 20-30 minute drive. Otherwise...utterly Delightful!

Lovely home

If you’re looking for a wonderful place to spend a relaxing vacation and to unwind, this is the place for you. From check in to check out, absolutely no issues whatsoever. Amazing hosts. She is a wealth of knowledge and very accommodating. Zena was very thoughtful as she provided a welcome package which included some groceries as well as her very own rum punch. Nice touch. Frangipani is a beautiful home with all the amenities you could ever want during your stay. The three bedrooms were all spotless and comfortable. The pool area and gardens are a lovely quiet place to hang out. We thoroughly enjoyed having our coffee in the morning and refreshments in the evening at poolside. The wall from living space to outside pool area is actually a wall of sliding bifold glass doors which is spectacular. Once you open these doors you are literally bringing the beautiful Barbados outside inside. The area is very safe. We would take a short walk to the end of the street where you can visit a private beach. The views are amazing. We recommend you rent a vehicle to take advantage of the area for both sightseeing as well as grocery stores and restaurants. We will definitely be returning. Looking forward to another great stay at this beautiful property. Gary and Alison

Oasis on an island

Zena's villa has been an amazing place to spend the last couple of month. The pool, hot tub, outdoor shower and gas grill make it a resort in and of itself. Zena was super helpful in booking, and greeted us with a delicious rum punch upon arrival, and is an accessible fountain of island knowledge and recommendations. The open floor plan from interior to exterior allowed great breezes and views of beautiful sunny skies and rainstorms alike. We truly enjoyed our stay here and it is a hard place to leave.

Happy in Barbados

Great family vacation

The house had everything we needed to have a great time as a family to relax. We spend a lot of time in the pool and explored the island in our rental car, which is needed. The east coast provided always a nice breeze, which was refreshing. Zena gave us great recommendations what to visit and where to eat. We really enjoyed our stay and can highly recommend this house.

Beautifull house and very practical

The house is as beutifull as you can see on the pictures. We have found it perfect for six of us. Furnished and equipped with great attention to detail satisfying both need for comfort as well as estetically. Kitchen fully equipped for most demanding chef. Spacious, and very comfy. Zena the host very helpfull and has some great tips on every type of excurssion you are looking for. Very good place for astrophotography.

Beautiful

We’ve just returned home following a 2 week stay at Frangipani villa and l can honestly say this a beautiful well maintained property with everything you need to feel home from home. Zena was really helpful detailed instructions of how to find the villa was sent through a couple of days before arrival so we picked our hire car up from the airport and off we went and finding the property was easy. Zena met us when we arrived at the property and went through the ins and outs explaining how things worked etc, pool lighting, washing machines, wi fi , Bluetooth speaker so you can listen to some tunes whilst soaking up the sun, the list goes on. The villa is large and airy, the bifold doors are great and open full length of the living room letting in lots of cool fresh air and there is a covered sun deck which is a blessing in the afternoon as the sun gets very hot , you basically get the sun all day which is unusual as the last property we stayed in the sun disappeared in the afternoon ! There are a couple of bars to go to locally Crane beach is just round the corner which has a happy hour from 6pm just go to the gate and tell them you are going to the bar and they let you through. Staff are really helpful , the last night we went there they were having a buffet all you can eat down on the beach but we had booked elsewhere so we could not dine there which was a bit of a disappointment but there is always next time. Marco Polos bar is open from 6pm every evening and serves good food and drinks are reasonably priced, Thursdays are baby ribs night which are great and Fridays they serve fish and chips ! It gets busy so either book a table or turn up early not be be disappointed. Over all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are looking forward to returning in the not too distant future, if we decide to bring the family Zenas other property is next door and is equally beautiful so we might decide to stay there as that has 4 bedrooms and may be better suited to our needs. Finally a big thank you to Zena and her husband for making us feel really welcome and we cannot recommend staying at either villas enough, however it might be selfish of us not to spread the word so much as we might not be able to rebook if every one finds out about these little gems in paradise Heather and Les back in old England.

Fabulous Villa in a tropical paradise

My family and I (2 adults & 4 children aged 12 and under) have just spent two wonderful weeks here. The Villa is beautiful, as good (if not better) as the photos make it look! It is really well equipped, comfortable and a perfect base to explore the island, or just relax. The pool is a really good size, big enough to actually swim! Zena and Irvin were incredibly friendly and welcoming (and Zena makes a mean rum punch, perfect after a long flight!!). They were brilliant for tips on places to visit, to eat, the best beaches and all things Barbados generally. I can not recommend Frangipani and Barbados more highly, we really hope we get the opportunity to stay here again.

Beautiful property, very homely and the pool was a big hit!

Taylor Family x6 This was our first time in Barbados and we left it to the kids to choose the Villa. When we first walked in everyone was very satisfied with how spacious and clean the place was! The bedrooms are all of a decent size and the living, kitchen out outdoor areas are the same. The pool was a big hit with the family and we made sure to make as much use of the villa as possible during our stay. The nice breeze from the cliffs was also very welcoming during the day time in the heat. The lovely french doors that lead onto the pool were also fantastic for letting the breeze get through the house. Zena was very lovely, friendly and informative, and sat down with us and told us the best places to go around Barbados using the maps that are in the Villa, and would check in on us over text and by popping in to make sure we were okay which added to the friendly feel. We did take a walk up to the local bar "Neymar's" and had a drink with the locals, who were also very friendly and welcoming and it was definitely an experience! Thanks again Zena, everyone had a fantastic time and I'm sure we will be back in the future, such a great place to stay! The Taylor Gang

Amazing place to stay

A week of total relaxation with everything that we could possibly want provided. In fact the villa was better equipped than my own home! 3 good size bedrooms all with en-suite, comfortable beds and pillows, bath, pool and beach towels provided as well as washing machine and tumble dryer. The lounge and kitchen are spacious and comfortable although we spend 99% of our time by the fabulous pool. Plenty of sunbeds to grab a tan and seating in the shade for those that wanted it, even books to read provided with a choice on a bookshelf. I would recommend a car although we did walk to the little beach at the end of the road which was beautiful and deserted. There are supermarkets and a BBQ and cooker if you want to cook but why bother when there are cheap take away choices close by and even a local lady who cooks wholesome home cooked meals and delivers for a very reasonable price. I honestly cannot think of a better place to stay and thank you Zena and Irvin for being fantastic hosts, I will be back next year.

PERFECT!!!

We had a serious case of "I don't want to go home". We loved this house. It is private, quiet, airy and has the best kitchen we have ever seen (in a decade of renting houses). High end appliances, every kitchen gadget you need. Dishwasher, washer and dryer. Awesome bar-b-que. Zena has thought of everything. There is a set of bath towels, pool towels and beach towels. Never in our travels have we been offered all three. There are also a few extra things in the house which are a hit and miss but appreciated (salt, pepper, flour, salad dressing, butter, teabags, sunscreen,dishsoap, books, magazines, assortment of DVD's and games.) - it all came in handy throughout the week and was much appreciated.All three bedrooms have tiled ensuites, everything is clean and new. Zena met us with a jug of Rum Punch and a wealth of information regarding the island. She ahd bought us some eggs and bagels to have in the morning.She described the beach walks and area sites perfectly. Zena is a wonderful host who provided all sorts of information regarding our trip. We loved sitting out in the evening with some music by the pool, which has alternating lights. It was sooooo quiet and peaceful. The only regret we have is that we only spent one day lounging around the pool. We hope to return to Barbados and will hope that we can book this villa. Thank you Zena, it was wonderful to meet you.

Pure heaven!!

Frangipani is the ultimate home! This was our first Airbnb stay and has exceeded all of our expectations! We cannot see ourselves staying anywhere else! The house is brand new and you will not want for anything! There is a fully stocked kitchen with every pot, pan, dish and utensil you could think of! The rooms are large, clean and comfortable! The open air living room is a real treat! The breeze was so relaxing and cooling! The pool was inviting and we spent a lot of time swimming and floating! There are cushions for the chairs, pool and beach towels for your use! This is a quiet spot and for relaxing. It is quiet and peaceful. Very tastefully decorated and lends to a calm casual atmosphere. Relaxing was easy and came quickly! Zena and her husband were very accommodation and checked on our satisfaction frequently. We were more than pleased with our stay and would highly recommend Frangipani (or Tradewinds) to our friends, family and anyone reading this!

Beautiful Home

This was the 4th time that we had stayed at Zena and Irvin's property but the 1st time at this their new house and it certainly did not disappoint. The house is beautiful and the layout has been well thought out. The fold back doors in the main living area and the master bedroom were fabulous and allowed for a gentle breeze throughout the day. As with their other property everything has been thought of and if you need anything you just have to ask either one of them and it normally appears very quickly. Thankyou to you both for a lovely 12 weeks.

We are a couple of mixed ethnicity, Irvin , a Barbadian and Zena a Yorkshire lass ( uk) . We have lived in Barbados since 1994 ( after returning here from the uk). We have two daughters all grown up, and have worked hard to develop our little retirement business of letting a holiday home. We are service orientated and wish for this to be the best experience for you . We are on hand if needed, but respect your privacy.
