Efter en dag på en av Martha's Vineards olika stränder kan du komma hem till denna härliga fyra sovrum med räfflad udde som har utsikt över Farm Pond, Harthaven och Nantucket Sound. Denna vintage stuga 1900 (utvidgad och renoverad 2009, kök renoverat 2017, centralvärme / luft installerad 2019) ligger i historiska Oak Bluffs, nära den viktorianska Camp Meeting Association pepparkakastugor, centrum för det långvariga svarta samhället på Marthas Vineyard och hjärtat av Vineyard's art district. Ha det bästa av allt: promenad till stan, strand, naturstigar, tennis, cykelvägar, Oak Bluffs färja. Nära till allt men ändå väldigt tyst. Fredlig utsikt över vattnet från nästan alla rum med härlig, rymlig veranda på övervåningen. Mycket öppen, lätt inredning, massor av fönster, takfönster. Huset är mycket mysigt och inbjudande.
Njut av vardagsrummet med en anpassad Lew French strandsten, en fönsterplats och bekväma sittplatser. Det finns ett litet hölje med en TV, en matsal med bord för 6 eller 8, ett kök med apparater av hög kvalitet och ett bord för 2. Tvätt- / pulverrum på första våningen. Bakre däck med slutna utomhusdusch. På övervåningen finns 4 sovrum (2 drottningar, 1 dubbel, 1 med dubbel-under / två-över våningssäng) med välvda tak, en landning med ett stort takfönster och franska dörrar som öppnar till ett däck med spektakulär 270-graders utsikt över vatten och omgivande landskap. Också fullt badrum med badkar och separat sida vid sida på andra våningen, 1/2 bad och helt ny utomhusdusch på första våningen. 8x10 skjul för cyklar och utrustning i trädgården. Sängkläder, handdukar, badhanddukar ingår (100% bomull). Wi-fi, kabel-TV tillhandahålls. 1-2 kvarter från stranden (med livräddare), cykelvägar, offentliga tennisbanor, lekplats och runt hörnet från Land Bank bevarande gång / löparvägar. Mindre än en mil från Golf Neck golfbana. 10 minuters promenad till stan, hamn, restauranger, butiker, karusell.

We had a wonderful stay , our 5th, at this waterfront home in Oak Bluffs. We so enjoy the beautiful location, serenity and "feel" of this home. The upgrades of A/C, screened in porch, full bath on the 1st floor and the vast music collection all added to our our total enjoyment. If only we could have stayed longer.... Oak Bluffs

A perfect OB getaway

Great home in an awesome location. Even better than the pictures and description. Enjoy all that OB has to offer then get away to the quiet of your beach cottage with a less than 10 min walk. Laurel and Emilie were wonderful hosts. We have been coming to MV for years but this was our first time staying in OB - it hopefully won't be our last.

Beautiful property and best location in Oak Bluffs

Truly best location in Oak Bluffs - easy to walk to the action, yet peaceful and quiet at the house. Huge windows on the first floor, and large second floor deck. Gorgeous views everywhere you look. The house was thoughtfully decorated, comfortable, well supplied with high quality linens, dinner and cookware, bluetooth stereo, kayaks, and air conditioners for each bedroom. The owners were helpful and thoughtful. Only issue is they are now booking over 12 months in advance and we can't get in next summer, (they have also doubled the price) but we loved our time there!

Dear Laurel and Emilie, thank you so much for providing such a beautiful, spacious home to bring our family together. The home offered a well appointed kitchen, comfortable seating for family gatherings, bedrooms that offered cozy restful nights, even lighting that appealed to all ambient choices. The large windows and deck were magnificent for viewing the open skyline, stars and moon. The location is a convenient walk to all the local shops, restaurants and businesses. Beautiful sunrise.

We normally stay in a 4 million dollar house on Chappy. Do to a mix up in scheduling we missed the opportunity this year. I can tell you that this was a serendipitous event. The house on Chappy is an indoor-outhouse compared to this house. The most well kept rental we have stayed in in the past 8 years. Thanks.

just wonderful

this house was wonderful from beginning to end. First time on the vineyard for our family and it was in a wonderful location. quiet , but within walking distance to the beach and oak bluffs. The house was filled with bothinteresting and very functional items. appliances terrific. they even had some toys for our little 18 month old and bikes for us older folk. The only thing i wish i would have known, is that you have to make reservations on the ferry, if taking a car way in advance. Not withstanding some anxiety around that, the ferry was easy enough to get a reservation once i understood the waitlist process. Laurel couldn’t have bern kinder, when my grandson pushed an alarm and I called her by mistake. I would tell people to run not walk to rent this incredible property.

Better than advertised!

This property was very special. It’s a very well maintained cottage with very nice upgrades. The views of the pond and ocean out the large windows and from the second floor deck were beautiful (great moonrises while we were there). We were able to stay without a car using the bus and walking but a car is preferable if you wish to explore the whole island.

STAY HERE!

We, as a family have been coming to MV for twenty years. Always stayed in nice places but this property was extra special. Very accurately described. In a quiet area. Very clean. Looks recently renovated with high end kitchen and plenty of room. The house also comes really well equipped with kitchen utensils, CD's, DVD's, games, 3 bikes, 2 kayaks, a canoe, etc. Views of the pond and ocean in the distance made it special. Especially from the second story deck.

Wonderful vacation

We loved the house. The location is fabulous, and the amenities are fantastic. For example, you know you are kitchen for serious cooking when there is a cutting board dedicated to onions and garlic!

Great house and great location

Had a swell time in OB. The house was very nice and super clean and the location was only a 15 minute walk from downtown. The top deck was also super nice to enjoy the summer evenings. 10/10 would recommend!

Soothing summertime

Perfect location with a view one could look at all day ! The home is clean and comfortable, the music CD library is choice and the kitchen is amply supplied. Delighted with new A/C system.

Amazing! Would absolutely come back!

I can’t say enough about how much my friends and I enjoyed our stay at Oak Bluffs. The house was well appointed with everything we could need, and in my opinion it looks even better in person then it does in the pictures. It was a perfect walk into the center of town, and the upstairs desk afforded us a beautiful sunrise every morning. So happy we got to make the trip, and would definitely stay in this home again.

Oak Bluffs Marsh Home

I cannot say enough about this property...the location was to die for (on marsh, water view, rooftop deck) and its proximity to town was perfect (secluded feeling yet less than a ten minute walk to downtown Oak Bluffs). The interior of this home was immaculate, from the linens to the kitchen and everything in between...we really felt like we were in someone's home versus a rental property. Use of the kayaks was slick and easy and access to roads and routes was simple. Easily the most beautiful, well-situated rental home we've had on the Vineyard and we very much hope to return!

Lovely house with great pond views and easy walking distance to the Oak Bluffs center.

The kitchen is well equipped and the second floor porch is a great spot to eat with great views.

Great family weekend in the Vineyard

House was great. We loved reading during the day and having drinks at night on the awesome roof deck. Bunk beds were great for kids and plenty of room in the house. We used the bikes and it was a short easy walk down town (0.5 miles). Also short bike ride / run to jaws bridge (2.8 miles). If available we would definitely stay here again.

loved it!

My family and I really loved this house! The views of Farm Pond were really beautiful and the house is within walking distance to Oak Bluffs and Inkwell Beach. The house is wonderful - pretty, clean and bright. The living room has a large stone fireplace and big windows to enjoy the view. The kitchen is pretty and well stocked. There is beautiful upstairs deck where we spent a lot of time after the beach and a great outdoor shower. The owners and property manager were very nice and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay here!

Very Cool Property, Well Positioned...great for 2 small families to share as a rental.

The house is awesome...everything you need for vacation in terms of housing. The deck with the lake view is special and the overall decor is charming. The only limitation is the one full bath if you will have more than 3 to 4 adults and maybe 2 children. The bathroom limitation does not outweigh the other benefits. Congrats to the owners!

We love Oak Bluffs for its quirky charm and its important history. This is our dream home, purchased from artist-owners who lovingly lived in (and renovated) the house over the past 3 decades. Varför värden valde detta boende

We bought this house for its stunning location and internal beauty, its proximity to historic town and beach, and its structural soundness. It was built in 1900, remodeled and expanded in 2009. We just upgraded the kitchen with custom cabinets and countertops, installed year-round heat and AC, and added a screened in porch in the back as well as a covered porch on the front-door side. It's a special place.

Vad som gör detta boende unikt

In the morning, walk out the front door, along the pond, and a block down Canonicus Street to the Inkwell/State beach along Nantucket Sound. Walk along the water all the way around to the harbor, and end up at Biscuits restaurant for breakfast, then walk back through the Campground, full of brightly-painted Victorian cottages. Ride bikes to the seaside bike path toward Edgartown, with water and beaches on both sides. Or walk along the pond on the Land Bank trail and see the many varieties of waterfowl, including Great Blue Heron, Osprey, Bufflehead ducks, swans, geese, and a (very) occasional otter. We feel this is the absolute best location on the Vineyard. There are gorgeous walks in every direction, and you can kayak on the pond right out in front of the house. Some great fishing locations are within sight of the house. It's a very short walk to town, the harbor, restaurants (check out Sweet Life for a special occasion), galleries (we like Cousen Rose, Featherstone, and Alison Shaw). There's a grocery, coffee shops (we like Mocha Motts), banks, post office, and hardware store in addition to many souvenir and gift shops. Cap off your day with cocktails on the huge upstairs deck overlooking Farm Pond and Nantucket Sound. You can see water from nearly every room in the house.
