Det finns plats för en uppblÄsbar queen size-luftmadrass om det behövs (det skulle vara vÀldigt mysigt). Bara ett stenkast frÄn stugan finns det trevliga ljudet av en bergsström. TerrÀngen som omger kabinen Àr full av vÀxter, blommor, buskar och frukttrÀd. Vi har Àven ett lusthus med gunga och ett dockhus för dig att njuta av! The Mountain Retreat ligger bara nÄgra miles frÄn Blue Ridge Parkway och ligger i en charmig stuga som heter Creekside Estates. Det finns bara en handfull stugor i grannskapet, sÄ du kan vara sÀker pÄ att uppleva en mest speciell vistelse. The Mountain Retreat ligger 15 minuter frÄn Boone och 20 minuter till West Jefferson och 30 minuter till Blowing Rock. Blue Ridge Parkway ligger bara 4 miles frÄn stugan.

The cabin was a bit smaller than expected, but overall was cozy and warm inside. Richard had provided the extra amenities such as shampoo/conditioner, fire wood, coffee, etc. which was a really nice addition. The seating arrangements in the living room are a bit awkward as the couch is perpendicular to the view of the tv and we wanted to have a fire and watch a movie. The smoke wafted into the house, which made the house smell and our eyes burn so bad we had to put the fire out and open the windows. The next night, we decided to try the outdoor firepit, but as soon as the fire got going the ground underneath it caught fire and we had to rush to put it out. This was a huge disappointment for us as we have fires all the time at home with no issue. Richard was made aware of these issues and sent his apologies, however nothing could be done during the time of our visit. We tried the firepit again the last night after cleaning out the ash, leaves, and twigs that were underneath and were able to finally have a nice night with a fire. It was unfortunate that during our 3-night stay, two of those were associated with negative experiences and nothing was done about it.

What a wonderful cabin! Was perfect for us and our golden retriever. The wood burning fireplace was perfect for a chilly night! The host was extremely responsive, the WiFi worked great, as were the steaks we grilled! The place was clean and kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. We will definitely reserve again. Thanks for a perfect October weekend getaway!

Cozy Cabin stay

This cabin was precious; it was nestled in the woods on a beautiful piece of land. Morning coffee on the private back porch included the sound of many different birds, a rushing creek and a visit from two wandering female deer. Very peaceful and serene!

The property is in a quet neighborhood of cabins and convenient to Boone and West Jefferson. Only seating in livingroom/kitchen was an uncomfortable sofa and stools at counter. TV didn't work properly.

Bad Experience

This cabin reeked of wood smoke so badly we could not stay there. After less than an hour in the cabin we started to have breathing problems.The "host" was in Croatia so he could not be on site. He texted with me and inferred that I was lying. In my opinion Mr. Gruica has oversold this property. By way of example the bed is a double not a queen. We wrote off a 6 night stay and went home,

Cozy Cabin

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely like to plan to come back. This cabin was absolutely gorgeous, and accommodated us and our dog perfectly. The cabin is stocked with everything you could possibly need and is a 15 minute ride to Boone.

Father's Day/Anniversary Weekend

Great weekend celebrating our 23rd Anniversary and Father's Day. The cabin was the perfect spot for us. Loved that it was fully stocked, especially the coffee supplies, as it is a good distance from any grocery stores. Front porch and gazebo provided awesome morning coffee locations as I am always first one up to enjoy the peace and quiet. The neighborhood is great for taking a walk and enjoying the natural surroundings. Felt very safe in this community. We also took advantage of the firepit and roasted marshmallows, played several of the supplied games and of course used the internet without any problems. I would love to go back to this little cozy cabin. Thanks for your hospitality.

Charming, peaceful and comfortable

The cabin is cozy, well stocked kitchen, everything you need. The real star is the deck and yard, it's so beautiful and peaceful. You feel enveloped by the forest. We spent most of the time outside. Even in the rain, there is a gazebo with a swing and the deck has an awning and nice little lights. It's easy to find even if you get out of GPS range. We had no cell signal but that's not a problem because the cabin has strong wifi. This was our second visit and we plan to book a third soon. When you visit, tell the bats, birds, and fireflies we said hi! And will someone please tell me what variety of plum tree that is in the yard!

Cozy Cabin May 2023

Beautiful, secluded cabin. The property has great amenities like a full kitchen and a fire pit. It is close to Boone NC and many local attractions such as the Linville Caverns and Grandfather Mountain. I would whole heartedly recommend this property for your next trip.

Since all things culinary have been a huge part of my life, I started an online-based dining and socializing group called Good Eats and Meets that is now in 6 cities in the US and is the largest group of its kind in the US. I have a grown daughter and son. My parents are Croatian and I am also fluent in Spanish and Croatian. I spend my time split between the US and Europe as I started a new company called Captivating Croatia, where we take guests on an intimate food and wine-based tours of Croatia.

The Mountain Retreat is the PERFECT spot for a romantic retreat for 2 or a small family. There is 1 bedroom with a queen bed and a queen-size sofa bed in the living room. It also comes with a twin-size memory foam folding cot. Just a stone's throw from the cabin there is the pleasant sound of a mountain stream, which adds to the charm and allure of the cabin. The terrain surrounding the cabin is full of plants, flowers, shrubs, and fruit trees. We even have a gazebo with a swing for you to enjoy! Please note, the cabin has a one-person jacuzzi soaking tub in the bathroom and DOES NOT have a hot tub, VRBO has no way to differentiate between the two on the site. The cabin is stocked with almost everything you would need during your stay. We look forward to hosting you
