Ocean Pearl avslutades i 1999, och som dess nästan identiska granne, Aqua Gem och ligger precis ovanför Westin Resort, med utsikt över det turkosa vattnet i Great Cruz Bay. Huset vetter mot söder-sydväst och får vid poolen sol hela dagen. Den pittoreska utsikt öarna Lilla och Stora St James och den södra änden av St. Thomas, plus det glittrande vattnet i Great Cruz Bay och Karibien, samt utsikt över eldiga solnedgångar och avlägsna ön ljus på natten.

Detta är ett mycket bekvämt läge som är mindre än en fem minuters bilresa till restauranger, strandbarer, livsmedel och shopping i den ljuvliga staden Cruz Bay. Du är också bara en 5 minuters promenad till restauranger, spa, strand och taxistation på Westin Resort, så detta är en av de få villor som vi erbjuder där man kunde klara sig utan en jeep, men vi rekommenderar ändå att du hyra en jeep.

Detta är en 2-nivå, 2-sovrum där båda luftkonditionerade rum, en 20 x 12 fot pool och en 700 kvadratfot däck är på lägre nivå, medan vardagsrum / matsal / kök områden, en halv bad, och en wrap -around däck är på det övre planet. Du parkera på den övre nivån och inre och yttre rör om leder till sovrummen på lägre nivå.

Great rental

Our kids had a fun time at the pool and the service was great! Staff offered us an additional night when we were delayed by a day arriving.

Great stay!!

I don't think I will ever go to another Island after this trip to St. John! Our two young girls and I loved having our own pool and we only had to drive 10 minutes to the great sandy beaches. The house was equipped with everything we needed. It is priced reasonable and close to restaurants. We booked another trip before we left because we didn't want to leave this home!

Nice Stay, however....

I filtered my search for properties with whole house AC, I checked this several times, but somehow missed the fact that only the bedrooms have AC. (Our rental last year did not have whole house AC and it was miserable. So that was very important to us.) My fault for not checking thoroughly. Ceiling fans, a fan, and "the caribbean breeze" is not enough to make it comfortable in the living areas, esp if you plan to cook...pack a cooler, apply sunscreen, etc. "Beautiful Views overlooking Cruz Bay Harbor" is a stretch. There is one area of the house and deck where you can get a glimpse of the ocean. It is well landscaped, which creates privacy. But it is nice to have an unobstructed "Beautiful view" of the Caribbean. The spiral staircase was kind of fun, but precariously steep. Better than having to use the outside staircase to access bedrooms. Not for children, or adults with any mobility issues. The shower in one of the bedrooms has rust stain, which looks like blood. It definitely has not been thoroughly cleaned in a while. There was a nice layer of dust/grime on most surfaces, along w/an ant farm in Kitchen. It is minimal; but convenient & well priced. Property Managment was very responsive & helpful. There were only 2 beach chairs, for 3 of us, they bought another & got it to me. They also accepted a FedEx delivery, for me, and brought it to the house. I, personally, would not choose to stay here again; but it served it's purpose and we had a great stay.

Pretty good

The location and view are amazing. Check in was easy and fast. The home was clean, quiet and well stocked with extra towels, beach towels and chairs. We were surprised by the thin and narrow spiral staircase from the first level down to the bedrooms, but you could access from outside. The pool was used every day but wasn’t crystal clear until day five. The pool also had several sharp pieces of coping. Overall it was a good place for our group of two couples.

Not Great

We were very excited to arrive at Ocean Pearl having read positive reviews. Our first impression is that it was clean but needed updates (some peeling paint, worn tiles). However, the kitchen had nice appliances and the towels were plush. The spiral staircase was difficult to navigate and probably could use a gate at the top for safety. Our biggest disappointment was the pool. Upon arrival, it was green and cloudy. I immediately called the management company who sent their pool company to evaluate. Unfortunately the pool remained the same for 2 days and was unusable. We worked with Kate at Caribbean Villas who was incredibly responsive and moved us to a different house on day 3, which was immaculate, comfortable and we could not have been happier.

St. J March getaway

The Ocean Pearl was perfect for us as two couples. Pool was a welcome end-of-day relaxation spot. Very clean, well-equipped (though we cooked very little). Convenient to Cruz Bay-5-10 minute drive. Caribbean Villas was very helpful and responsive. A great vacation!
