Everything we needed for a relaxing beach break

A fantastic location close to beach and shops, the house is a great size and well laid out with all the amenities and welcome we needed to have a relaxing stay. The host information and communication was very clear and helpful. We enjoyed great coffee at the local shops and toured around the local area. The house had plenty of games to entertain the kids and it was dog friendly too which was a big help for our family. Will stay again!

Our vacation was wonderful. The location of Wintersun to the beach and local shops was as promised. The property was clean and tidy and all the extra little amenities (including chocolate & wine) were much appreciated. Barry is a delight to deal with. Will be back again

Fantastic Location and Host

Communication with Barry was easy and he provided prompt responses. The location of the property is everything described with all you need, including a great part of the beach, just a short stroll away. I highly recommend staying here as you don't need to worry about heavy traffic and parking on busy weekends. Barry provides so many essentials it's like booking a hotel, but even better as you have your own private oasis. This is a host who definitely goes above and beyond what you would normally find. So don't hesitate this place has it all. BTW I highly recommend the Blairgowrie Cafe for breakfast and the best coffee I've found anywhere.

Golf Trip

Great place to stay, close by to shops cafe and surrounding Mornington golf courses. Will probably bring back family for weekend getaway as only 2 min stroll to the beach as well. Highly recommended.

A summer stay at Wintersun

Before even arriving, communication with the house owner was amazing. When arriving at the house, the house was immaculate and cosy for the ten of us that stayed there. The house is the perfect beach house, small and cosy but big enough to give everyone their ample area. Overall, the experience of stay at the Wintersun was extraordinary and definitely recommend inquiring about renting out this beautiful house.

Really a great place to stay. Barry was really helpful.

So close to everything, we walked to the beach and shops and never used our car. With the pool and table tennis table, barbecue on the patio, and tons of games to keep the kids occupied when the weather was lousy, it was a wonderful holiday for us, our kids and grandkids.

Amazing location that was so close to the bay beach and shops that our cars stayed at the house.

Our kids, grandkids and great grandkids always have a great time with us at Wintersun, and if the weather’s lousy, there’s plenty to do with lots of board games and billiard/table tennis table, and the BBQ under the covered patio gets a good workout too.

Fantastic - everything as we expected and more!

The property is brilliantly located a short walk from the beach, cafes and supermarket. The house easily and comfortably accommodated ten of us. There were adequate staples in the cupboards, and enough cutlery and china to meet the needs of a large gathering on New Years day. And in line with what is expected of a good family holiday house, there were plenty of board games and old books and DVD's (haha). We loved the place and couldn't have been happier. Furthermore the owner promptly replied to our queries and provided lots of helpful information about local activities and attractions.

Would definitely come back

We had a wonderful family reunion at the Wintersun. A box of chocolates and a bottle of red wine was a very nice welcoming gesture from Barry. We planned to use our cars to go to the beach but it turned out that we only needed to walk for less than 5 min. While the Wintersun was located in a nice, quiet neighborhood, the coffee shops , restaurants, and IGA were right there at the corner. The property had everything: board games, pool/snooker table, table tennis, wifi, spa, and the kitchen was fully stocked. It was very pleasant dealing with Barry. He always responded to our inquiries promptly, politely, and genuinely showed that he wanted us to have a great time. Highly recommended.

Wintersun - Location that can't be beat !

We very much enjoyed our stay at Wintersun. TOP LOCATION ! walking distance to a great selection of shops and to a calm stretch of beach that was safe for kids. Barry our host was a pleasure to deal with. So quick to respond to every email. House comfortably accommodated our 2 families. The table tennis, billiard table and board games kept us entertained in the evening. Thanks again for a great getaway.

A great had by all

We had a great time at WinterSun. Barry was great to deal with and very accommodating. We loved the bath/shower, the strong oven (we've had some weak one's in the past) and the ample amenities.

Great place and great host

Barry was great, quick and very accomodating. The place is very nice and clean, close to the beach and a shopping strip with a nice IGA. The house has everything you need and more, pool table, table tennis table and a lots more indoor and outdoor game. 5 stars! Thanks Cris

Barry Blight är värd

We have rented the house since 1987 and apart from unfortunate experiences with "Schoolies" and unattached single guys, we haven't had many problems. Since I started applying a $1,000 bond to those two groups, the damage problem has diminished.

I bought this holiday house in 1987 for use by my wife and me, our children and grandchildren, and now my great grandchildren also enjoy it. If one has to drive to the beach, finding a parking spot is a major pain in holiday periods, so I only looked at houses within a short walking distance from the beach and shops. This house was just what we were looking for, as it's just seven houses from the bay beach and the Blairgowrie Shopping Centre.
I have progressively upgraded the house, amenities and furniture to make it a more enjoyable experience, with features such as a covered rear patio with gas barbecue, games room [including billiard/table tennis table, board and card games, etc.], en-suite bathroom - and on cold winter nights we can watch TV in the en-suite bedroom while being kept nice and warm by the electric blanket.
As the outdoor patio is covered, it provides relief from both the sun and the rain, allowing the gas barbecue to be used on a wet and rainy day.
